SummarySome 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles equipped with light duty electric park brake calipers (minor feature code FAJAK) may exhibit a squeal noise from the rear brakes after sitting for 8 hours or more. To confirm a vehicle is built with minor feature code FAJAK, review the build information by double-clicking the vehicle identification number in the upper left-hand corner in the Professional Technician System (PTS). To correct this condition, replace rear brake disc (ML1Z-2C026-C) and rear brake pads, caliper pin bolts, and brake pad holding clips (ML3Z-2200-E) on both sides of the vehicle. Refer to Workshop Manual Section 206-04 Rear Disc Brake. For claiming, use causal part number 2552 and applicable labor times from Section 02 of the Service Labor Times Standard Manual. SummarySome 2021-2023 F-150/Mustang Mach-E/Edge vehicles may exhibit a concern of Android Auto unable to wirelessly connect and/or Android phones rebooting when connected to the vehicle via USB. This is due to a concern with the Google application on the customers device. Google has released a fix for these concerns. For Android phones not connecting wirelessly, request that the customer update their Android Auto version to 6.1 or later. For customers who's Android phone reboots when connected via USB, request that the customer update their Chrome application to 88.0.4324.181 or later. The customers service provider should be able to assist customers having difficulty updating their device. This is not a warrantable repair.

SummaryFor 2000-2024 Ford and Lincoln vehicles, swapping a module from a vehicle for diagnosis purposes is likely to cause errors and is not recommended. It is also not recommended to order a replacement module using a vehicle identification number (VIN) from a different vehicle. Most modules on these affected vehicles are VIN/vehicle specific and hardware variations between modules do exist. Swapping a module from a vehicle or ordering a module using a different vehicle/VIN can cause ineffective repairs and additional vehicle down time. Make sure all appropriate Workshop Manual (WSM) procedures are followed when diagnosing the condition prior to all module replacements and only order modules using the correct VIN.

This may be due to a crack in the exhaust heat exchanger coolant spigots on the top of the exhaust heat exchanger. SummarySome 2017-2023 Ford and Lincoln vehicles equipped with a 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmission may exhibit a whine noise at idle and/or while driving. This may be identified as coming from the bellhousing and the front of the transmission fluid pan. The whine noise may become louder when the transmission is at operating temperature and may increase with engine revolutions per minute (RPM) in the park (P) position. A small amount of whine noise is considered to be characteristic of the 10R60/10R80/10R80 MHT/10R100 transmissions due to the offset gear drivetrain in the front support and has no effect on durability.

SummarySome 2021-2022 F-150 vehicles may not be able to communicate with some emissions testing equipment. Engineering is aware of the concern and is currently working on a solution expected in 2nd Quarter 2023. Monitor OASIS for updates. As a temporary corrective action, technicians may attempt one of the following: (a) Leave the engine running when performing the emissions test, even when the machine prompts to shut the engine off. (b) If a Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS) tool is available at the same location as the emissions testing equipment, use the FDRS tool to download and run the On-Demand DTC self-test on the audio front control module (ACM) and clear diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) in the ACM, even if none are present. Then within the same key cycle, connect to the emissions test machine and perform the emissions test immediately.
