SERVICE BRAKES
Flat Towing 2021 Ford Bronco with 2.7 V6 engine. After connecting my Bronco to the motorhome and putting it in the tow mode the following will occur. About 45 mins after turning the ignition off and closing the doors the EBB (Electronic Brake Boost) in the Bronco shuts down leaving the Bronco without any brake boost and leaves the supplemental brake system ineffective. When first connecting the Bronco to the motorhome the brake boost is active and the supplemental brake system must be set to match, or it will lock up the brakes on the Bronco when you stop. After the boost shuts down the supplemental brake system cannot apply enough force to the Bronco brakes to assist in stopping and all at once it takes a much greater distance to stop the motorhome than it did when the boost was working. This is my second complaint with no reply

When Flat Towing 2021 Ford Bronco with 2.7 V6 engine. After we connect our Bronco to the motorhome and putting it in Tow Mode we lose Electronic Brake Boost about 45 minutes after turning the ignition off and closing the doors. The EBB (Electronic Brake Boost) in the Bronco shuts down leaving the Bronco without any brake boost and leaves the supplemental brake system not working. When first connecting the Bronco to the motorhome the brake boost is active and the supplemental braking system must be set to match, or it will lock up the brakes on the Bronco when you stop. After the boost shuts down the supplemental brake system cannot apply enough force to the Bronco brakes to assist in stopping and all at once it takes a much greater distance to stop the motorhome than it did when the boost was working. This is dangerous and potentially life threatening.

After 625 miles the low engine oil pressure alert came on. Had vehicle towed to dealership. After inspection they stated the engine will need to be replaced. It has now been two months and I’m still waiting for my vehicle to be repaired.

ENGINE
I was on cruise control going about 70 yesterday when I lost all power at the gas pedal. I made it to the side of the highway and waited 90 minutes for a tow truck to come get me. I had my dogs with me and it was 25 degrees out. We were three hours from home. The service department reported today that I had a catastrophic engine failure. A valve came loose and was crushed by the pistons or some such.

My 2.7L V6 engine dropped a valve, it was inspected and determined by the dealer. This happened after a 1 hour freeway trip on Christmas Eve. Luckily, the incident was in my driveway after shutting off the engine. If it would have happened minutes before we would have had complete power failure at 65mph. The problem was determined to be a defect and was replaced under warranty by the dealer. Unknown whether Ford has done a post mortem inspection. No warning whatsoever prior to failure. It happened on shut down so no indication of an issue until attempting to restart 2 days later.

Also, if for some reason the Bronco becomes detached from the motorhome that is towing it, then the Bronco becomes a missile waiting to hit what ever is in it's path as the emergency braking from the supplemental braking from the Coach would not engage and stop the Bronco.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ADAS:PARKING ASSIST:SENSORS
The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco. The contact stated that when shifting into the park, the front camera sensors would activate when there was no object nearby and there would be a chime. The vehicle was driven to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front sensors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 200.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
When operating the wipers at either of the highest/fastest settings (LOW and HIGH), after about 45 seconds, the wipers will revert to intermittent. This happens at various driving speeds (not specific to driving slow or fast). When driving in heavy rain, it is very dangerous to suddenly not have adequate wipers.

Was driving my son to school, maybe 30 mph when all of a sudden I heard some clicking noises from the engine. The power dropped and I was barely able to pull over to the side of the busy road out of harms way. Engine dead. Only warning lights I got were a forward sensor failure and then a message telling me to pull over put it in park and restart. I tried but I was not able to restart, the starter fired but didn't seem to engage with anything. Got towed to the dealer. Dealer confirmed a dropped valve and engine failure. Awaiting a replacement engine.

Engine cut out in the middle of road driving in heavy traffic and would not restart. Vehicle was stranded and had to be towed to dealership. Driver and passengers had to exit vehicle into traffic to avoid dangerously sitting in disabled vehicle on road with significant traffic. Passenger and driver waiting in rain for tow truck to take vehicle to dealership. Dealership has stated engine has seized and can not turn over with starter or manual crank.

SERVICE BRAKES
The 21 Bronco is sold and marketed as being set up and safe to flat tow recreationally. The problem is with the 2.7l engine which has an Electric Brake Booster. After 45 mins the Battery Management system turns the Electric Brake Booster off. Thus the brakes are not powered and the required by law, brake system (3rd party) can not apply enough pressure. This is a SERIOUS design flaw. I have reached out to FORD, they denied that there is a global problem and asked me to contact my dealer. The dealer search TSB's and other systems and saw no notations and thus did not want to see the vehicle. I have asked to speak to a Bronco engineer and was denied. This is a known and confirmed issue to be found on any RV or Bronco Forum using search. PLEASE help me put pressure on FORD to fix this SERIOUS safety issue. This an on going issue thus date information below is irrelevant. 3rd party braking system is an Airforce One by Demco and was professionally installed, it functions as it should.

On 12/11/2021 at 1,166 miles and after 35 days of owning the new vehicle I was traveling on interstate 40 about 400 miles from home. I was doing approximately 80 mph on the highway when the vehicle shuddered. Luckily right in front of an off-ramp. So I quickly pulled on the off-ramp. The engine light and several alarms went off and the vehicle died while traveling on the road. I was able to pull close to the side, but still in traffic. The engine was dead. It melted. It died on the highway, at high speed, with other cars around, with 1,166 miles on it. Brand new. It is still in the shop two months later.

ENGINE
I experienced complete motor failure while traveling on the highway near my home. I was able to move across traffic to the shoulder of the highway. The vehicle would not re-start, and a tow service was required to take it to the dealership. They have informed the the motor is blown, and will require complete replacement. The vehicle has 6,600 miles and is fully covered under warranty. There were no prior warning or alarm indications, smoke, noise, etc to indicate and issue. The pertinent engine information is included in a picture as attachment.
