SummarySome 2021 Bronco 5 door models equipped with a hard top roof configuration may exhibit poor Sirius XM satellite radio reception and or signal loss in rural areas with dense foliage, tall buildings, or other similar obstructions. No additional diagnosis or service is required for this condition at this time. Inform customers that they can continue to drive the vehicle and engineering is currently working on a solution to improve this condition that is expected to be available for service in January 2022. In addition, if the vehicle is equipped with the optional factory roof rails and crossbars this may further degrade the reception. Removing the roof rails and crossbars may improve reception performance. Monitor OASIS for additional information and schedule a service appointment with the customer once the repair becomes available.

The brake rotors should only be machined if directed by the WSM because one or more of the following conditions are present on the braking surface: scoring, excessive corrosion/rust or pitting, bluing/discoloration and/or heat spots. For additional information, refer to WSM section 206-00.

SummarySome 2018-2021 Ford/Lincoln vehicles equipped with a wireless charging pad may exhibit an inoperative charging pad, slow charging, a notification that the phone has been mispositioned on the charging pad and/or the phone charging icon in the center screen is not showing. This may be due to the customer's phone if they are using an iPhone 12. Vehicles equipped with a wireless charging pad are designed to charge best with phones that follow the Qi standard. The iPhone 12 hardware currently does not follow the Qi standard for wireless charging. This may make it difficult for Ford and Lincoln vehicles to wirelessly charge this specific phone. The phone can still be charged using the USB cable if the vehicle experiences the above symptoms. If the customer is using an iPhone 12, verify the wireless charging pad works with a Qi certified phone prior to any part replacements.

If the PAM sets DTCs for all 8 parking aid sensors/circuits, diagnose the rear parking aid sensor and circuit DTCs first. Reference Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 413-13A for parking aid diagnostic information. Ford is currently working on a software update that is expected to be available August 2021. SummarySome 2021 Broncos equipped with exterior zone lighting may experience an intermittent single hazard lamp flash when hazards are turned off. This condition is due to a software issue within the vehicles body control module (BCM). This fault is induced anytime a customer activates then deactivates exterior zone lighting lamps while the engine is OFF. This may generate a single hazard lamp flash when the engine is shut off or during an engine auto-start-stop event. Inform customers that this condition can be temporarily corrected by activating then deactivating the exterior zone lighting feature while the engine is running. Engineering is currently working on new software to correct the condition that is expected to be available in October 2021. Let the customer know they can continue to drive the vehicle and schedule a follow-up appointment for repair in November 2021. Monitor OASIS for updates.

SummaryThere is expected to be a low number of vehicles found with a concern door handle. In some of the affected vehicles, the interior door handle may have excessive material present on the door handle cavity. This can cause the door handle cable to bind during operation. If the cable binds, it may result in a door that cannot be opened from the inside. The door can still be opened using the exterior door handle. It is also possible that the door cannot be closed. If the door will not close, the instrument cluster will illuminate with a Door Ajar warning
