SERVICE BRAKES
The contact owns a 2010 Dodge Journey. The contact sated while driving 15 MPH, the brake pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to respond. The contact made a left turn and the brakes seized. The contact stated that the ECS, engine check, and other unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the brake pads and rotors needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to several independent mechanics where it was determined that the brake hose was leaking, and an unknown hose had detached. The vehicle was repaired for the most recent failure. The remained at the residence and had not been driven since. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
The Catalytic Converter is the issue per our mechanic. We have had several issues out of the the vehicle, resulting in more money than the car is worth. The car no longer reaches over 55-60 mph, which is unsafe on the highway. Many times the car wont start. We thought it was the battery which have been changed several times, but the last mechanic stated it in fact the recall part that is needed.

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Journey. The contact stated upon starting the vehicle, the driver's side headrest deployed inadvertently and hit the contact's head. The contact sustained pain from the neck down to the shoulder but did not receive medical assistance. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the failure was related to an unknown extended warranty coverage that had expired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 99,000.

SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
In July of 2024 I had to brake to avoid striking a deer. My ABS and Traction Control light came on in the dash, and my cruise control stopped working. I took the vehicle to the dealership and they said the HCU and ABS Modules were bad, but the ABS Module was no longer made by Chrysler, and it wasn't available aftermarket. I contacted Stelantis and they said the ABS module was under "Engineering Review" and not available. I received an email in September indicating the part was now available and it was being shipped to my dealership. I never heard back from the dealership, and I called them back on December 17th. The parts manager said his computer indicated again that the part was unavailable and it had been discontinued on October 14th, 2024. He sent me a screenshot of the order screen showing the part was discontinued which I've attached below. I recontacted Stelantis on December 23rd and they started another case (Case #[XXX]) and a case manager would call me back within one working day. I called Stelantis back on January 3rd and spoke with "Edward" who said my case was never assigned and he was going to "expedite" the case (as every other person I had spoken to previously said) and that a case manager would contact me within one working day. As of now, I have not heard back. My ABS brakes and Traction Control (Federally mandated safety equipment since 1998) are inoperable and according to Stelantis, the ABS module is no longer made and there are no aftermarket replacements. my rear back up camera going bad again I had it replace a few yrs ago and it is doing the same thing again, picture is upside down at times or the image is doing a horizontal rolling making it unusable or going blank and also is distracting when trying to back up and the image catches your eyes while backing up

The contact owns a 2018 Dodge Journey. The contact stated that the engine was slow to turn over and start. There was an abnormal chugging sound at start up. The contact stated while driving, the vehicle shut off unintendedly and failed to restart. The contact stated that the half-circle symbol to depress the brake pedal was displayed. The engine and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was determined the failure was due to the electrical system. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was determined that the failure was due to the oil. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at undisclosed speeds over a bridge, the steering wheel and the brakes became inoperable, and the vehicle shut down. The engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the electrical system, transmission, timing chain, camshaft, and engine needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

Reflectors are critical for visibility especially when it is foggy outside. My reflectors made my vehicle less visible to other driver because he backed his trailer into my car not seeing my lights or me and directly caused or perhaps contributed to the accident. I seek compensation due to the Product liability. Manufactures must be held responsible for defective vehicles parts, which caused it a prone to failure, Manufacturing Defects and Failure to warn in a timely matter which could have prevented my accident. I would like to file a claim with Dodge Stellantis for compensation and for my personal injuries. I would like the repairs costs for the front driver side because my deductible is 1,000.

My retentioner bolts broke off in my motor and nobody can explain why this happened. Belt wasn’t broken and the actual retioner wasn’t broken. I wasn’t going but about 25 to 30 mph because I was getting on a off ramp.

My traction control light, ABS sensor light and brake indicator dash are on. My cruise control does not work and sometimes the car will not start. I'm afraid to drive it. Thinking that it may turn off while driving it. My mechanic says that it is the ABS Control Module. There is a recall for this part, but not for my vin number. A number of Dodge owners I know are having this same issue.

I am driving a 2015 Dodge Journey. Randomly, the airbag light came on, followed by loss of all electronics on the steering wheel. The horn will not work, nor any of the switches on the steering wheel. I did find that this is a common issue with Dodge Vehicles under recall 18V332000 AND 17V432000. I was told at the dealership that my specific dodge journey did not group into that recall however is experiencing those same issues. I am unsure if the airbag will even deploy in this state, coupled with the failure of the horn, this vehicle is not safe to drive.

Vehicle has oil cooler leak which plastic oil filter casing and oil cooler adapter cracked and leaked. Oil pooled up on top of engine casing channel below intake plenum and dripped down to electrical connectors that go into transmission. Engine oil heated and smoked because of heated motor and smoke goes into vehicle cabin causing oil smoke film inside with occupants. Oil mist is in the inside windshield and outside windshield along with wipers. There is a recall for this year journey 2015 this year engine 3.6 vet and transmission combination fwd 6spd ;however, the Vin number is not applying to correct the oil cooler and filter replacement under a recall. There is an upgraded part made that does not fail S44 recall; however I had to pay full price for the repair at a dealership and they replaced with the upgraded recalled part. The recall for this repair is S 44 why was not my Vin and vehicle covered under this recall number? Please Include my Vin number in this recall as well since everything is the same for S44.

Vehicle has P0740 code of which is a recall on the transmission pump. The recall is S 44 however my vin does not apply even though it’s the same make,model,year, engine and drivetrain as the recall. Please include my Vin number in the recall because the vehicle stalls/ hesitate when the gas pedal is applied and the transmission is trying to downshift when speeding up to change lanes. The situation is dangerous because the driver can lose control of the vehicle when planning to execute and not get a response from the vehicle when accelerating or changing lanes. The problem is more of a 2 to 3 second hiccup and the vehicle seems confused. Include this vehicle and my Vin number in the S 44 recall of which my dealership has stated it should’ve been included with the rest of the 2015 and 2016 caravan, dodge journey recalls. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2015-2016 Chrysler Town & Country, Dodge Grand Caravan vehicles manufactured July 31, 2015, to April 18, 2016, 2016 Dodge Journey vehicles manufactured August 17, 2015, to January 29, 2016, and 2016 RAM ProMaster vehicles manufactured August 15, 2016, to April 15, 2016. The transmission pump may seize causing a loss of hydraulic pressure.

I only owned vehicle for 2 weeks. The Vehicle stalls while driving, unable to brake or steer. after a few seconds and a fee times trying to restart, car restarts engine light comes on and displays no codes. Light goes off after a few hours. Mechanics are unable to diagnose. Almost rear ended in middle of busy street.

Recently I have been having issues with the rear back up camera in the vehicle not working turning off beeping when nothing is around, also glitching and showing the camera upside down. I am also experiencing battery drainage in the vehicle I have just had the battery replaced and the alternator replaced as well, while I am searching online for common issues this seems to be happening to a large amount of people and the issues just keep equaling out to more then one problem. Motors staying on, electrical problems, constant power draws, many more issues I have many links to articles with dodge journey owners having numerous issues and dodge not wanting to fix anything or recall things to fix their mistakes. Windshield is coated with a plastic to prevent rock chips. The wipers have grooved the plastic. If the sun is shining and we were to try to clean the windshield it would be very hard to see the road. Seems like a manufacturing defect.

Heater hose malfunction. No issues spotted but within 24 hours the car began to smoke and the hose obtained a leak and leak anti freeze while driving the entire hose blew up while car was in motion and came to a complete overheated stall in the middle of a busy intersection. I had to throw hazards on and could not exit the vehicle due to heavy traffic and unsafe conditions. No warning lights for a leak or empty reservoir where coolant goes. At blow up the antifreeze flushed to the engine and all oil flushed to the radiator cause an immediate engine block. No recalls for this hose but plenty of research on the hose needing to be removed and replaced with the previous version shaped as a letter Y. Purchased this vehicle brand new 3 years ago only 12 miles kept up with oil changes and new tires only issue I've ever had kept up with annual flushes and maintenance as well. This part could have cost me my life in that intersection and central dispatch had to be called to stop traffic vehicle towed for $230 and repairs over $10,000 for a new engine. Now being charged $22,000 the remaining balance on the vehicle for damages beyond my control that should have been a recall.
