Flash: 2.0L Diagnostic And System Improvements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): · **P0335-00 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit.** · P0456 - EVAP System Small Leak. · P2610 - PCM Internal Engine Off Timer Performance. · P1607 - PCM Internal Shutdown Timer Rationality. In addition to the above DTCs, this software release also includes: · Enhancements to the disable misfire monitor when P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit) is present. · Re-Activation of Electronic Throttle Control (ETC) (2.0L MTX only). · Engine oil temperature gauge calibration enhancement.

Upon further investigation the technician may find one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs): · **P0335-00 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit.** · P030X - Cylinder X Misfire improvements when P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit) is present. · P0116 - Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor 1 Performance. · P0456 - EVAP System Small Leak. · P0441 - EVAP Purge System Performance. · P1D73 - AGS (Active Grill Shutter) Performance. · U0140 - Lost Communication With Body Control Module (BCM). In addition to the above conditions, a customer may also experience the following symptoms: · ASD/Fuel pump relay cycling during remote start. · E15 cold start improvements in temperatures below -7°C (20°F).

Panasonic 8.4" CTP/FCTP Radio, Update Failure Issue 1: Hand Free Module inoperative, can't pair phone: - Do not replace the radio for phone issues. The Radio does not control phone/Hands Free functionality, it is separate from the radio, test and diagnose the Hands Free Module accordingly.~ Issue 2; Radio inoperative, no power, display no power or screen is blank.~ Blank Screen with Audio: The ICS is a separate module from the radio. If attempting to replace the display (ICS), do not order a radio part number. Instead, order p/n Z5064993A$ for an exchange or 05064993A$ for a new part replacement.~ Issue 3.; If the radio ICS/touchscreen display appears to reset intermittently, it turns white then black and functionality returns....Please contact Leony Gonzalez at cell (248) 736-1267 or Dave Clemons at cell (248) 520-0419. Engineering is currently root causing this issue and your assistance is greatly appreciated. If unable to reach this person within 15 minutes, then proceed with the necessary repair. NOTE: USB cables should be replaced prior to the HFM or Radio. ~

Adaptive Cruise Control Sensor 1) If you are replacing this part due to the cluster displaying Clean Radar Sensor in Front of Vehicle or DTC C1266 ACC Sensor Blinded, please verify that there is no blockage in front of the sensor. Blockage can occur from mud, ice, snow, front end damage, bracket damage, the sensor not attached to the bracket properly or an aftermarket fascia installed. This fault can occur intermittently in muddy or icy/snowy conditions and is considered normal operation. Under some circumstances, a misaligned sensor can also cause the C1266 DTC, please complete an alignment procedure. No replacement is required.~ 2) If you are replacing this part due to the cluster displaying ?ACC/FCW Unavailable Service Required?, please check the DTC fault codes. This will indicate which module needs to be serviced (TCM, PCM, ESP/ABS, etc). This fault is not due to the ACC Sensor. No sensor replacement is required.~ 3) If you have fault code DTC C125E ACC Sensor Adjustment Required, please verify that the radar sensor is fully seated in the clips and there is no damage (if clips are damaged on a 2013 or earlier vehicle, order P/N 68085813A$, otherwise please replace the module), please verify there is no blockage to the sensor due to mud, ice, snow, front end damage, bracket damage or the sensor not attached to the bracket properly. Perform the Vertical Alignment and the Electronic Horizontal Alignments procedure as stated in the service manual. Please note, if the horizontal alignment procedure will not complete, check the vertical alignment and confirm that the sensor is seated properly. Rerun the horizontal alignment procedure. No sensor replacement is required. **Hints for running Horizontal Alignment procedure: A) Verify speed is between 45 and 75 mph, B) verify the road is relatively straight with signs, poles, guard rails, etc C) Do not tail a vehicle too closely this inhibits the learning procedure

Flash: 2.4L Powertrain Diagnostic and System Improvements This bulletin involves reprogramming the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) with the latest available software. A small number of customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set in the PCM memory: · **P0335 - Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit. · P050D - Cold Start Rough Idle.** · P0456 - Evap System Small Leak. · P0133 - O2 Sensor 1/1 Slow Response (additional enhancements). · P2610 - PCM Internal Engine Off Timer Performance. · P1607 - PCM Internal Shutdown Timer Rationality. In addition, some customers may describe that the engine is overheating based on the engine oil temp gauge read out. Software improvements include: · Improved ambient temperature sensor diagnostics during sunload. · Disable misfire monitor when P0335 (Crankshaft Position Sensor Circuit) is present. · Engine oil temperature gauge level recalibration to avoid the misperception of an engine overheating condition.
