The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and making a right turn, the left turn signal activated independently. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was not diagnosed. The dealer was unaware of how to service the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage is unknown.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
About 4-6 times while traveling a 170 mile stretch of [XXX] from Castle Rock to Trinidad CO the vehicle will automatically brake from 75 mph to 65-70 mph when using adaptive cruise control. There is nothing in the road ahead of the vehicle. The automatic braking then releases and the speed resumes to 75 mph. This has happened on each trip since the purchasing the vehicle new in October 2023. Most recent incident was [XXX]. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
When driving through an intersection, the vehicle incorrectly applied the automatic emergency braking system. There was no risk of crash, however the application of the hard braking in the intersection put me at risk of a rear collision. I do see that the new recall is supposed to address this issue.

Bought my son 16 year old a new truck, truck only has 517 miles on it. He was driving 45 miles/hour on street, dashboard warning lights all lit up ABS, Brake and Check Engine. Brakes failed. Was able to pull into a parking lot eventually but a very serious safety issue/concern and this truck should be recalled immediately.

The forward collision avoidance system which controls the automatic emergency braking is showing as unavailable. This is after the parking brake warning light comes on and the brake master cylinder or BCM or both makes clicking noises after driving.

I had recall repair done with the dealership mechanics. After 2weeks in the shop I received the truck back. I drove it for 3 days with no issues. On the 4th day it started emergency braking and I was almost rear ended. On the same day upon starting the engine the radio screen was black. I waited a few seconds turned off the engine and restarted the engine, the instrument panel and radio screen did not light up for several seconds.

Vehicle at random moments will automatically make the vehicle brake to a complete stop. Very dangerous thing to happen and has happened about 5 times and one time my vehicle was side swiped as the vehicle maneuvered away from and hit my rear right side to avoid my braking on the freeway.

If you review the Chevrolet Colorado for the last number of years, one will find that there is an issue with the key not removing when turning the vehicle off. I am experiencing this problem with a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado. In some of the previous years the issue was referenced to a issue where the shifter needed repaired or replaced. My point is that it has been an ongoing problems for years which the NHTSA should demand that GM fix it without cost to the consumer. In my case, as a result of not being able to get the key out, it caused the battery to drain. It could easily leave someone stranded.

ENGINE, EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:NAVIGATIONAL SYSTEM(GLOBAL POSITIONING SYSTEM)
The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Colorado. The contact stated that while driving at unknown speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. Additionally, the navigational system and radio continued to reboot, and volume increased to high levels without driver interaction. The contact replaced bank two and valve two and stated that the cam shaft exhaust was faulty. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who informed the contact that the failure was due to bank two, the cam shaft, and that the vehicle was idling roughly. The contact called the local dealer, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the local dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 46,000.

The engine is needing replaced. I was driving down [XXX] and the engine, electric control system, and stability lights all went off. The engine started shaking. The Chevrolet dealership says it's $6,500 before tax to diagnose or I can replace it for $10k before tax. I believe they know what the issue is, but not telling. The engine should not fail so.soon. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
While driving the vehicle on three occasions the automatic emergency braking system activated for no apparent reason. The unexpected activation caused the vehicle to brake very hard and the possibility of a rear collision from a following vehicle could have been catastrophic. There were no symptoms or warning indications prior to the incidents. I have deactivated the AEB system until the dealer can correct the problem. I just learned of the problem on 2/22/24, so have not had an opportunity to have the problem corrected.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Fuel Guage will not move until there is about 200 miles after filling up. When filling up at the 320 miles the pump will shut off at 10 gals. The miles to empty will show that I can go anywhere from 400 to 500 miles. (This is impossible) this also does not match with the fuel gauge reads. Have taken this to the chevy dealer and they could not find anything wrong. It passed the sweep test and they drove it for about 200 miles and stated there was nothing wrong. Vehicle has 19000 miles. First time this happened was when it was at around 10000 miles. Issue is that I don't know and can't drive this very far due to not knowing how much fuel I have used. I have to rely on my phone gps to track how far I have driven and bounce it off of what is on the miles driven display. This has been going on for the last year.

Driving along a two lane country road when out of know were the truck lock up the brakes, there was know traffic in front or rear, lucky for use. The only thing was a park car about 200 ft off the road with no one in it. I have since taken the dealer who spent 5 hours looking at the system only two come back and tell me it working as designed. He told me to be careful as it is very sensitive. Boy ain't that great, the thing that's supposed help you to avoid crash got cause a crash.

LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION
The blind spot warning will light up on the passenger side randomly when no other vehicle is present. If changing lanes while this occurs the vehicle will try to force you back into the lane you are trying to depart from. This false warning could potentially result in an accident. The dealership has so far been unable to recreate the problem, but this was only attempted once. The dealership did state that this is not the first time this issue has been brought to their attention. I have also found numerous complaints online regarding the exact same problem. No other warning lights have appeared. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer or others besides the dealership.

SERVICE BRAKES
I went to a Chevy Dealership, Ed Morse, Sunrise Fla. for an oil change and they told me I need all 4 new brake pads at estimated mileage of 27000 miles. I was shocked because I never needed brake pads that soon. I called Chevrolet corporate to see if there was something defective that they could tell me about. Chevrolet Customer Service filed a case and told me to take to a dealership in my home town, Tallahassee Florida. I scheduled an appointment with Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet. When I went there they told me it would be $199.00 on my credit card. I told them it under warranty and they told me that was their policy. I called Chevy CS and they said that there was nothing they could do. I did tell them this is a safety issue but they didn't care. The brakes are completing worn so there must be an issue with the system for the vehicle to go through brakes so soon. It is driven mostly highway and I am [XXX]. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The Automatic Emergency Braking System failed me today. The truck is available for inspection. I was driving at about 45 mph, when a car pulled out from a driveway infront of me when it probably should have waited, but there was still time for me to brake safely. I started to apply the brakes and the truck slammed on the brakes, no red lights on the dash flashing, no warning beep. I pulled my foot off the brake because I wasn't sure what was happening but, the truck slammed the brakes to a full STOP.. instant stop! If there had been a car behind me, I would most certainly have been rear ended. The seat belt locked up, my body was thrashed forward twice because of the quick slow down and the stop. I'm sore, scared and not sure what to do. This isn't something that can be recreated without putting someone else in danger. This is not a safety feature, it's an accident waiting to happen!

Vehicle panic braked for absolutely no reason at all. I was rounding an ascending curve, there were no vehicles within sight in front of me. Fortunately there were none directly behind me either.
