Brand new TRUCK… 2024 Chevy Colorado LT 4x4.. Classic Chevrolet Oklahoma CIty OK Extremely Rough Idol, on cold engine start up, You can hear the ROUGH noise it coming out of the Exhaust and feel it in the cab of the truck. After warm up,, at intersections on red lights ,,you can hear and feel the idol miss at times a little bit. The dealership has had my truck for 8 days now. NO positive results to date. They say GM is making them go through a step by step process. The service manager tells me there is a code in one of the cylinders.. but the injectors test perfect. Looking on GOOGLE i see many owners of the same truck with the SAME issue !!!

- #11650386March 25, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
While driving in heavy and slow moving traffic at approximately 15 mph, the vehicle in front stopped. The forward collision and automatic emergency braking failed to activate. These safety features are not a replacement for active driving attention, but if they properly function and activate, they could have prevented the rear end collision that occurred.

I was driving down the highway going about 75mph in the left lane. The engine quickly started going down through the gears as the engine was shutting down. I was able to get it to the right side in very heavy traffic. I had to be towed. It took a 5 day repair and replacement of the fuel pump power control module. Warranty

I purchased this Chevrolet Colorado knowing there was a potential problem in which the vehicle's battery is drained overnight during an over the air update; I had hoped GM would have a fix by now (but it does not seem they do). From what I've read, along with my own experience, the vehicle is prompted to update software, but in the process of updating, the "computer" system freezes, though the software continues to try and update, thus draining the battery dead. When this happened to me I measured the battery voltage at 4.4 volts...which in many cases can be lethal to a 12-volt battery. Fortunately I was able to get a boost from a tow truck driver, who then drove my vehicle onto his truck. The dangerous part of this problem is timing. I camp and overland in remote areas. Should this happen when I am miles from service or outside of cell range, I could be vulnerable to all sorts of negative forces. Fortunately, the vehicle was seen at a local dealership, but aside from fixing an unrelated recall and updating the stereo, best I understood I am still vulnerable to this problem occurring again.

- #11647999March 12, 2025SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
Was driving approx 30 mph down road when alert/light flashing for crash detection. At the same the brakes slammed on causing the wheel to pull to the right and pulling the wheel from my hands. This sudden stop was abrupt enough to leave seatbelt mark on shoulder. There was no car in front or behind me in my lane of travel. There were no people on either side of the road walking. I have had the light go off a few times with the bell but no sudden braking until an update was run last night. Which according to the Chevy recall was for ECM issue. Recall software update N242452130. I called the dealer , spoke the service manager Mike and told him what happened. He tells me him and his wife bought a 2024 Chevy Equinox that did the exact same thing. Ok, how is that supposed to make me feel better? The braking was violent and if it happened in city traffic I have no question in my mind that would have been a [XXX] crash. Every single time there is an update push there is a problem. This has been the worst. after looking up the VIN does not show part of the original recall from your agency. Brakes make an intermittent grinding sound when cold but make no abnormal sounds when it is warm out. As far as the suspension goes..... The truck sits higher on the passenger side than the driver side by almost 1 inch.

Seems to be a common problem but has a notchy feeling in the steering causing you to have to balance the steering wheel back and forth and is unsafe. Feels like it gets stuck. I may sell the truck as it is a safety issue. I only have 22-k miles on the vehicle.

I purchaced a new 2024 Chevy colorado, the truck had 193 miles on the odometer when the brakes failed. When I stepped on the brake to put my truck into gear the pedal became spongy and brakes were severely diminished. I had to force the pedal to the floor to stop the truck at idle. I shut the truck off and restarted, it continued. I called the dealer, they sent a truck with trailer to take it back to the shop. They verified the condition and diagnosed the problem. I was told the EBC and master cylinder failed. The warning on the dash came on at the same time as I realized the brakes were not working.

When activation of the turn signal for a righthand turn. The signal will blink properly until physically completing the turn to the right, as soon as steering wheel is turned to the left to straighten the steering wheel the turn signal switch will turn off right directional signal but will then instantly activate the lefthand directional signal. Sometimes the lefthand signal will blink several times and turn off by itself. Occasionally the turn signal activation lever will need lifted up to turn it off. This does not happen every time the turn signal is used but will normally happen during a typical drive making multiple righthand turns. This is very distracting to the driver and can cause confusion to pedestrians and oncoming or trailing vehicles.

- #11643632February 19, 2025FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The collision avoidance system quit working. The warning light was displayed on the instrument cluster but no other warnings were sounded. After taking it to the dealer for repairs, they got the light to go out by downloading another software version, but it did not fix the problem. It only removed the light. The truck still would not give a warning when approaching another vehicle too fast or get too close at certain speeds. The dealer has kept it so far a total of 12 days and have yet to fix the problem.

1) All the sensors on the truck relating to the auto emergency breaking, pass sensors, cruise control ETC are malfunctioning, truck was at 10,000 miles at the time and brand new. 2) This feature contributed to an accident on Jan 14 2025. I could not see because of the sun and rear ended the car in front of me. 3)The DTC report on the truck came back and stated 6 errors relating to the systems and sensors to include a data memory loss. 4)Took in for servicing at the dealership and they refused to touch the issue. GM is inspecting the truck Feb 13. 5) There were warning indicators however I though it had to do with ice blockage from a snow storm. That morning I cleaned all the cameras off and did not immediately notice it and assumed it went away. It seems the the warning does not immediately come on takes approximately 1-2 minutes. There is no differentiating a software-servicing issue with a camera blockage.

In January of 2024, my husband was driving our 2023 Chevrolet Colorado. he was pulling onto our street driving approimately 5 mph. The vehicle suddenly stopped for no apparent reason. AT this time, we did not file a complaint because it was a minor incident and no one was hurt. We brought the vehicle into the Chevrolet dealership for a safety recall for the front cameras . On [XXX] I was driving at 830am on a highway in the fast lane. No other vehicles were near me in my direction. No one was in front of me, besides me or behind me. I was driving approximately 57mph on a very clear and calm morning. My 2023 Chevrolet Colorado came to an abrupt stop for no reason at all. No lights flashed on my dashboard, the vehicle did not shake, warning me that I was shifting lanes (because I was not), nothing came on at all. I was given zero warning that the vehicle was abruptly stopping. I have severe whiplash and have been undergoing treatment for this trauma. No police report was filed because there was no damage done to the vehicle. I immediately called, reported and turned the vehicle into the local Chevrolet dealership here in Reno, Nevada. GM's third party did a full investigative report, pulled the black box from the vehicle on December 15th, 2024 and just today, 70 days after the claim, GM informed us that they want to buy the vehicle back. GM is claiming "what happened is consistent with the unwanted or undesired automatic emergency braking system failing." This is the only communication we have had with GM thus far.
