POWER TRAIN, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
Was driving down interstate 70 at approximately 75 miles an hour. My cruise control was set and I was going up a small hill and out of nowhere my car decelerates down to about 50-60 miles an hour and it won't shift into gear/turn over and is making a grinding/revving noise. Almost all of the warning lamps and messages started flashing when this happened. There were cars behind me and next to me on the interstate when this happen and could have caused a serious crash given that the car decelerated and stopped functioning in the middle of the road. I had to pull over on the side of the interstate and I immediately called the dealership to see what was going on and if the car was safe to drive. I took my car to the Acura dealership either that same day or the next day and they claimed they didn't know what the issue was and told me that they reset the mainframe and that would take care of the issue. It did not take care of the issue and this problem has continued to happen multiple times. With the most recent time that this issue occurred they told me that I needed to buy a new battery and that would take care of the issue. I purchased a new battery and 2 days later the same thing as above happened again while driving 75 miles down the interstate the car decelerates and about causes me to crash. Prior to this situation happening in 2020, there was an issue with my battery and when my car would go into idle mode at stoplights/stop signs, it would die in the middle of the road and I would have to wait a few minutes before it would start back up.

POWER TRAIN
TRANSMISSION IS JERKING WHEN ITS SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO SECOND REALLY HARD.CAR FEELS LIKE IT SHIFTS,LUNGES FORWARD.WHEN GOING DOWNHILL ITS RPM GOES TO 4 TO 5 THOUSAD RPM.VERY UNSAFE .THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED ASAP!!!!!!!

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL
The contact owns a 2016 Acura TLX. The contact stated that while driving 20 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as needed. The contact mentioned that after depressing the accelerate pedal multiple times, the vehicle was finally operating as designed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where the failure was undetermined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 12,000.

ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
I was driving down the freeway, in a new 2021 Acura TLX with 2000 miles on it. It was raining when I went to switch lanes and floor it to pass another car and the check engine light came on and the power dies and speed dramatically slows down and I’m unable to accelerate. The check engine light is flashing and the car will not reach 40mph. Again I’m on the freeway. This was a very dangerous situation. There were no warnings leading up to this catastrophic fuel/engine issue. I took the car to the Acura dealer who said there had been reports of issues related to water getting into the car’s intercooler for the turbo causing the car to misfire and then going into “safe mode” with a flashing check engine light. They installed Acura SB 20-053 PGM-FI update. I’m picking the car up on 2/6/22 and hoping the issue is resolved. Again this was a serious fuel engine issue that if I’d been passing a car on a two lane road into oncoming traffic could have been deadly

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Purchased new 2021 Acura TLX in April 2021 from Leith Acura Raleigh. On 5/22, 7/6, 7/23, & 11/2/21, the fuel capless unit was adjusted once replaced 3 times. American Honda is aware of the problems with the part & sent service bulletins to every Acura service dept. American Honda stated this & the 2 dealerships did also. On 8/4, there was an issue. Steering column began dripping grease. Grease dripping from steering shaft bolts "due to extreme heat". 12/7/21, extremely loud, high pitch squeal from brakes due to issue known by American Honda. Service bulletin sent to Acura service dept. Rotor rubs against another part on these cars. They explained there's no fix as of yet. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, & is it available for inspection upon request? Fuel capless unit (already replaced 3 times), steering column (steering shaft bolts), & brakes. Available for inspection whenever you all need for me to take it to the dealership again. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? American Honda has advised all Acura dealerships that these are known issues. They will not label them as recalls because they do not put Acura owners at risk, according to them. But, they send service bulletins to the dealerships advising all Acura service departments that they know about these problems. The steps to fix the issue may or may not work per dealers. As for the brakes, they've explained that they currently do not know the fix for the issue. They're still trying to figure it out, according to both Acura dealerships. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes it has on at least 6 occasions by Acura dealerships. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, there have been warning indicators & messages.

My car has started to jerk. I called the dealership where I got it from and they told me that if it didn't jerk in there possession there is nothing they could do. It's a 2020 and it has a little over 28k miles on it. There are 2 open recalls on my vehicle, but my specific vin isn't affected. I don't know what else to do .

AIR BAGS
On a number of occasions, a warning light came on stating "Passenger Airbag Off". Each time there was someone (usually my adult wife or daughter weighing 112lbs to $125lbs respectively) sitting in front seat in a correct position. The issue was first noticed about 2+ years ago. I had mentioned this to our dealership during an inspection but there was no firm explanation to the cause, or if it was really serious or not. They seem to indicate it was just a sensor glitch and that if there was a crash the system would work properly. I am not sure if they tested the car with a person in the front seat, and if they did, they may not have reproduced the issue because it doesn't happen with every drive. It happens sporadically. This issue happened again last week on a major interstate highway in the middle of a long drive with my wife in front seat. Again, the warning light came on "Passenger Airbag Off." About 15 or 20 minutes later it went off during the drive. Fortunately, there were no crashes, and therefore no injuries with any of these occurrences. Today I received a NHTSA safety recall notice from Audi of America on my 2nd car, which is a 2016 Audi A3, prompting me to make this report. The Safety Recall is 69BY - Passenger Occupant Detection System (PODS). (NHTSA: 21V198). This Audi safety notice describes "perfectly" what is happening with my 2015 Acura TLX. As in this report, the issue is sporadic, but happens fairly frequently when someone is in the front seat. Perhaps the Acura PODS is produced from the same company as the one in this Audi safety recall? In any case, I am fearful of having anyone in my front seat now. Since there is not a formal recall for my Acura, what recourse do I have so I can use my vehicle as intended? Thank you

The vehicle VIN - [XXX] The vehicle, 2021 Acura TLX, was purchased on June 8, 2021, from the showroom floor of Metro Acura Dealership. The vehicle was sold as being compatible with iPhone, Bluetooth HandsFree Link, and Apple CarPlay. Not to mention the innovative technology, Automatic Lighting Control, and Auto-Idle Stop System. The vehicle was purchased with a full 4 year/50,000-mile warranty. I have dealt with Metro Acura in Montclair, CA, Spreen Acura in Riverside, CA, and Wittmeier Honda in Chico, CA. I have attached the service reports from the said dealerships for your review. This does not include the three times I have called for roadside assistance due to being stranded by the 2021 Acura TLX. September 6- The vehicle would not unlock, even with the key. Stranded in a parking lot. Called Roadside assistance by the time some came, the car unlocked. September 8- the warning light Auto Idle Stop came on while driving September 10 – I took the vehicle to Spreen Honda and spoke with [XXX]. The vehicle had 3,275 miles. I was told that if lights are not on now, there is nothing they can do. I also explained that the Bluetooth is sporadic, and the vehicle will ring even after the phone call has been answered. I insisted they keep the vehicle and try. Later the same day, after I picked up the vehicle, warning lights came on again about 40 minutes later -Auto Idle Stop, Automatic Lighting Control- light while driving During this time, the warning lights would continue to come on intermittently while driving. September 15- I took the vehicle to Metro Acura and dealt with [XXX]. The vehicle had 3910 miles. I explained to them about the vehicle not unlocking and warning lights. They stated something occurred when they put the wrap on the car, which caused the vehicle to not open; they said it was fixed. Unable to find a reason for warning lights. The contact owns a 2015 Acura TLX. The contact stated that while his son was driving at various speeds, the vehicle would shut off without warning. The contact had initially taken the vehicle to an unknown dealer in West Virginia which has since closed, and a software update was performed; however, the failure persisted. As the failure became more frequent, the contact drove the vehicle to another dealer where the mechanic was unable to diagnose the failure. The contact was also informed that the vehicle was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V060000 (Fuel System, Other) which the contact linked to the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and provided the contact a case number. The vehicle had yet to be repaired and remained in the possession of the dealer. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.

Vehicle is having problems w original recall issues. Car stopping on its own on the highway, car says it’s on E all the time but has gas, car hesitates continually and sometimes just stops, electrical system is having major glitches, transmission and engine having major issues with hesitation and delay. I’ve bright it back many times and I’m beyond frustrated with no resolution. It’s unsafe to drive. Problem since day 1 I got the car. I’m scared to drive it.

The fuel pump appears to be malfunctioning. The car is basically inoperable when driving in any other mode besides Eco. From 10/5/21 - 11/19/21, I’ve filled my fuel tank 11 times and never received any errors or warning messages. I am willing to have the vehicle inspected to confirm by Acura.

I have been stopped by traffic or stop light when I put my foot on the gas to start up, the car stalls. The whole dashboard is lights up and I have to try several times to get engine started. This is very scary.... I took the car to dealership. After 4 hours at the dealership and $155, my car is stalling again. I am scared I could get hurt in this car!

Rear rotors warped after only about 15000 miles. Calipers failed early too. This causes the vehicle to shake very hard when braking, and creates an unsafe condition. Competent mechanics have inspected the vehicle and confirmed this.

My Acura TLX engine Drive reduced completely on the highway, Went going 60 to 25 roughly up to date maintenance 100% oil life and Now Im concern that’s my vechile has been manufactured failed. Since I purchased my vehicle my seat beats get stuck unable to clip belt. My car came with speakers not working dealer tried to tell me I was crazy, until the speaker system was check Yess sure enough no speaker sound at all. In my main base front center Speaker ( VeryBig Deal) all of this last Friday my TLX aspec 3.5v6 has been Making noise and running at a very low reduced speed for no apparent reason while flashing a Engine sign. Flash blank with warning engine. This Event has put me at risk of safety and protection of customer purchase violations as I developed change in my daily life being blind sided about my Acura TLX Car safety and manufacturing issues. I complaint about this after purchase of vechile and They fixed the repair at no charge. But who wants they car ripped apart never in same fresh condition as purchase. I now receive bends in dash board related to speaking replacements documented in Acura Profile. Yes it hasn’t been my car has been diagnostic and going for rare down of engine components at the Acura dealer. This is outrageous and so scary knowing I have too been dealt a bad TLX.

driving 65-70 MPH on highway the car would feel sluggish like it needs power then I can hear the engine roar louder then i get alerts on my dash that my brakes are not working my blind spot or lane keep assist or any safety features in my car is not activated working properly is what my car tells me i Almost lost my life twice those two times I almost got rear ended my semi truck on highway going 65+ on highway first time was March 1 2020 when i was driving from massachusetts to New York felt like my car was stalling I would try give it more gas but it felt real slow sluggish second time was recent October 2 2021 i was heading to casino in Connecticut on my way there dash says same problems as before this time the car wouldn’t allow me to go past 60 it kept me in 45-55 mph on the high I was scared because speed limit was 65 here comes semi truck lucky I was able to pull to side of the highway in time but I was so scared cause I know how fast that truck was coming my car shut off as soon as I got on the side of the road all I felt was my car shake from speed of the truck that literally passed me my car was off on side of highway was pitch black all I was hoping for was truck not hiting me because he was in the same lane as me but while I was quick in reacting I put on my hazard lights on before my car shut off when I pulled along side of the road I wanted to plan a trip for me & my girlfriend im scared to take my car because today on my home from work my car did it again coming home from work driving 70 mph 10/14/21 I don’t know what to do so scared feel like nobody wants to recall my car I keep hearing story’s online with people who got the same car as me & to no avail find the solution to their car geting repaired also I felt like dealership did something to my car transmission because i brought in my car for brakes Service during repair they called me state we messed up my transmission which was not related to why I brought it in for fix it under warranty
