Well, since i purchased the 2023 Acura Tlx TECH PCKG, "It's a nightmare" everytime i drive it , i'm not enjoying it at all! I can't keep the car to go between the 2 lines! It just keeps going zigzag, i keep telling myself that maybe because "it's a brand new car" give it more time for adjustment...! But it's getting worse and worse to the point that when it's raining, i have to pray to get home safely!

BACK OVER PREVENTION, EQUIPMENT:ELECTRICAL:INFOTAINMENT
The contact owns a 2021 Acura TLX. The contact stated that whenever the radio was turned on and occasionally randomly, there was a crackling and popping sound heard in the speakers. The contact then stated that while shifted in reverse, the rear-view camera screen intermittently displayed a blank screen or delayed displaying an image. The contact then stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that there was a loose connection in the bus network. The contact was informed that the FAKRA connector set needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and then towed to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the FAKRA connector needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was denied service due to the vehicle having a Salvaged Title. The failure mileage was approximately 33,000.

I am one of many owners of an Acura/Honda J35 V6 engine that has had a connecting rod bearing failure at low mileage to no fault of the owner. In this case that is me. I bought this vehicle 5,000 miles ago from a dealer and it ran great. No issues. Ran trouble codes. None. Out of no where it started ticking. I stopped. Many other people who don’t know cars wouldn’t. If you keep driving the vehicle with this engine failure it eventually seizes the motor and you lose power steering. Connecting rods can snap and be projected through the engine as well. This is an uncommon failure in engines unless neglected or there is a defect. Honda even had to recall vehicle many years ago for the same exact issue which is now occurring again. I am encouraging other owners to file a complaint that are in our Acura forum online. Will be able to submit documentation when car is fixed. At dealer now.

Car goes into limp mode at highway speeds due to an issue with the engine. Engine needs replacing at low miles. Safety hazard that is not expected to happen when proper maintenance is performed promptly and car is driven appropriately.

POWER TRAIN
Upon braking, when coming to a full stop, the transmission (ZF 9-speed automatic) makes a very hard downshift into 1st gear and causes the car to lurch forward. This issue appears to be worsening over time. The car is becoming more and more difficult and dangerous to drive due to this issue. The car was very recently brought into an Acura dealership (DCH Montclair Acura) to address this issue. They replaced the transmission fluid and conducted a general software update, but this issue continues to persist as before.

New car three months old. Did not include spare tire. Tried ordering one and told it was backordered. Told Acura considers spares accessories. I don’t. Now have new car with no spare , no tools to change flat tire, no Jack. No help from Acura other than they’ll let me know when the spare kit is available. I consider this a potentially serious safety problem.

UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was traveling on the highway (on a very rainy day), when my car's green signal lights and orange engine light began blinking. Immediately, an orange warning sign on the dash read, "Some Driver Assist Systems Cannot Operate, Radar Obstructed". A few seconds after that occurred, I accelerated to pass a vehicle & as soon as I switched lanes to get over, my car went from speeds of about 85 MPH, abruptly down to 15-20 MPH. My safety was immediately put at risk as the driver I passed began tailgating me as if my actions were intentional. I attempted repeatedly to speed up, but my car just wouldn't go any faster. Once, I proceeded to get in the right line, I was almost hit by a group of tractor trailers. I called my spouse in a panic, who advised me to get off at the next exit. I followed his advice, pulled over, turned off my car & started it again. The lights turned off & proceeded to get back on the highway. About 3 minutes later, the orange light flashed the same message, "Some Driver Assists...." I immediately called Leith Acura & tried explaining what was occurring. Once hanging up with Leith, the dash continued to display "call ended" with Leith's number flashing every few seconds. The radio also turned off with a "No audio connection for FM Radio". Too afraid to accelerate, I drove minimal speed all the way to VA. Also afraid to drive back in the same condition, I contacted Crown Acura, who set an appointment for June 23, cancelling Leith. Service advisor [XXX] informed me that the technicians were unable to duplicate what occurred and placed me in a rental vehicle until my car was assessed and diagnosed. The next day I was informed my vehicle was ready and told the technology was reset. Before & after this, my phone calls are stuck in a limbo state where it will ring through Bluetooth, the number will display, but there is no way to pick up the call via phone or car display. POWER TRAIN
The contact owns a 2015 Acura TLX. The contact stated while driving at various highway speeds, the transmission randomly shifted into the neutral causing the vehicle to lose automotive power, decelerate, and failed to accelerate while depressing the accelerator pedal. During the failure several messages were displayed including the "Transmission Failure" message. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the transmission shifter was faulty, and a transmission computer software update was needed. The vehicle was repaired; however, immediately after retrieving the vehicle, the failure reoccurred. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 115,000.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
This is the four time this happened to me in this vehicle. I was driving down Ellsworth street in south Philadelphia. I had a baby in the back with a car seat and a 8 year old in the front seat. And all of a sudden the warning light started flashing BREAK BREAK And than the breaks slammed on. This happened for about 3-5 seconds, until the car stop. Thank God no cars were driving behind me or they would have ran into the back of my vehicle.

It has camera issues where moisture or liquid can go inside, and it is very hard to see when I backup. I have contacted the dealer bodyshop to fix it since they repaired my bumper, but they said it is not their fault and they want more than $1000 to replace it. I did some research online, and a lot of people are having the same issue with poor quality with this brand. I never had camera issues with other brands.

Unknown- Check TPMS System, Check Parking Brake System, Check Brake System, Park light, all came on and stays on. While driving car shut off multiple times, speed will reduce, car will hesitate and jerk when trying to pull off from stop light.

I purchased a new Acura TLX in 2020. The following year it took it into get state inspected in Massachusetts. My care failed for emission 3 times. I brought it back to the dealer (Herb Connolly) in Framingham Massachusetts. They kept it for 3 weeks, worked on it and told me it was all set. The following year I brought it in for a state inspection. The same thing happened. They told me that they had seen a few of these cases. They found a way to get them to pass. They have to drive it at different speeds for a few hundred miles. I asked that they fix in properly and they noted that they did not have a fix. This was all after I picked it up. I told them I was concerned as I worried this could keep happening. They encouraged me to call Honda Motor Corp. I spoke to them several times and they denied the problem. I am not in my third year. Car is still under warranty and it again failed inspection. Below is an email from the service manager on how to get it to pass. From: Michael Brooks <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, July 26, 2023 4:05:38 PM To: [XXX] Subject: Passing Inspection Hi [XXX], As discussed we have not received any updated procedures or available software updates to get these cars to store the memory for the readiness flags. This is an issue what we have had to drive the car in very specific patterns to get it to pass. The main thing we do is DO NOT SHUT THE CAR OFF AFTER DRIVING IT JUST PULL IT INTO THE INSPECTION BAY AND LEAVE IT RUNNING DURING THE INSPECTION. There are a few flags that are notoriously tricky to get to flip. Usually we use our $20 “obd” tool that we got off amazon which monitors the flags in real time so we know when it is ready for inspection. Below are the driving patterns we follow to get the problem flags to turn over: O2 sensor This is one of the trickiest ones, we seem to have the most luck getting this one from continued driving so there is not a spec INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(

The idle stop feature on the vehicle will engage at a red light stop. Then, will fail to start the engine when the light turns green. You have to engage the car in park and then hit the engine start button. This is a safety hazard in traffic. It could result in an accident.

The contact owns a 2016 Acura TLX equipped with Goodyear Tires, Tire Line: Eagle LS2, Tire Size: 225/55/R17, DOT Number: (N/A). The contact stated while driving 50 MPH, the low tire pressure warning light illuminated. The contact was able to continue driving to her destination. The contact took the vehicle to the local dealer, and the contact was informed that the tire was punctured. Additionally, all four tires were dry-rotted and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The tire manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 145,690.

Software update completed June 2022 When coming to a stop light, my car shutdown. Went into neutral and took about five seconds to restart. It happened the following day and I was rear ended. No injuries occurred.

Hi there, My car has been to the Acura dealer multiple times for the same issue, and I'm hearing that alot of other Acura TLX owners are having the same issue. My car screen will randomly short, and can just shut off. Sometimes when I'm backing up, the screen will freeze and i wont realize that someone is walking behind the car, almost causing me to hit them. The audio system also can make weird crackling noises as well. There are definitely some safety features that shut off with the screen, though i cant pinpoint them exactly.
