• Specific software version requirement: The update for the Android control unit (diagnostic address 078E) must only be performed if its current software version is below 0621.
• USB stick handling: During the update, "Please make certain to leave the USB stick inserted. The correct time to remove the USB stick is described further down." Once instructed, "Now please remove the USB stick."
• Prohibited media: You "must not use an SD card with an adapter USB stick" for creating the update media.
• Warranty billing: Time stamps are not required for billing under warranty when carrying out this TSB. This allows technicians to work on other vehicles during the lengthy update process.

   • A USB update medium is inserted into the USB connection.
   • The technician navigates the MMI to select "Update" and the USB source, then starts the update for all control units shown.
   • After successful completion, the MMI will restart.
   • The system is restarted again by holding the volume control for 10 seconds.
3. SVM Code Entry for Emergency Call Module (0075) and Information Electronics (005F):
   • The technician uses the "SVM - Authorized Multiple Code Entry" function in "Flash" mode with the ODIS diagnostic software.
   • A specific SVM code chain must be entered exactly: 078EA001,DUCDTCPR0075MLB,FLIGHTON0075MLB,ZGDOIP,CL3BPA001US,TGU1MDMVB,CL3BPA002US,FLIGHTOFF0075MLB. This can be scanned via QR code or copied/pasted.
