The contact stated that while 5 MPH and making a turn at an intersection on three separate occasions, the vehicle unexpectedly shut off and restarted independently after several seconds. Additionally, the check engine warning light and a sensor warning light were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that an Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) distance sensor malfunction might have caused the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 249,000.

I recently purchased this vehicle, and within weeks it began experiencing intermittent and complete failure to start. The most serious incident happened in Phoenix at a Walmart parking lot. The vehicle refused to start at around 10 PM, and I was stranded with my daughter until 1 AM in the middle of a severe storm. The vehicle would not crank, would not click, and gave no warning lights before the failure. We were stuck inside the vehicle with no ability to move it to safety. This created a dangerous situation because we were exposed to lightning, heavy rain, and unsafe conditions in a dark parking lot late at night. If the vehicle had failed in traffic or on the highway, it could have caused an accident or left us trapped in a hazardous location. The failure is unpredictable and has happened multiple times, making the vehicle unreliable and unsafe to operate. The symptoms match known electrical defects documented in Infiniti/Nissan Technical Service Bulletins, including IPDM failure, BCM communication faults, ECM relay malfunction, starter relay issues, and CAN communication errors. These failures can disable the vehicle without warning and prevent it from starting for extended periods. I am requesting an investigation into electrical system defects for this model year and VIN because this issue poses a serious safety risk to me, my child, and other drivers.

Fuel gauge reads incorrect when it does come on. Dashboard lights stay off until the tank is on E. Unsafe to drive bc you cannot see your speed. When the dashboard randomly flicks on it will show that it is changing the 2WD to 4WD to 2WD WITHOUT anyone actually moving the switch. I know the dashboard leds are not bad, they come on randomly and they are all present.

The contact was unable to rent the vehicle. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING:EXHAUST SYSTEM:EMISSION CONTROL:CATALYTIC CONVERTOR
Need to know if there are recalls on the Q56 Infinite for the Catalytic Converter Failure. This truck had 2 and this is the second one that seems to be faulty and the truck only had 162000 miles The 1st one faulted at 151000 2024 The Infinite 2011 Q56 has been known for faulty Catalytic Converter Failure and nothing was done to recall and fix. The truck had 2 Catalytic Converters, the 1st one went out in 2024 @ 152000 miles, now it looks like my engine light is back on with error code P0420 Converter malfunction. I searched internet and it was noted that 2011 have had enormous reports about this issue. This doesn’t make since there is no recall when it is noted that the 2011 Q56 had history of faulty Catalytic Converter Failure. This cost to replace and repair is enormous and this type of part replacement repair should not be happening at 152000-162000 miles. This needs to be investigated and recall issued immediately.

SUSPENSION
While driving my vehicle with my family, I experienced a sudden and dangerous loss of control. I was able to safely maneuver the vehicle off the roadway without injury. After inspection, it was determined that the subframe had fractured due to severe rust, which was not previously identified. The failure occurred without warning and directly impacted the ability to control the vehicle, creating a significant safety hazard. No warnings or messages indicated a problem existed prior to the failure.

I need I need either a reimbursement or the vehicle, but it does have recalls, and the reason why the vehicle was stolen or taken from the truckstop was because of the tire the wheels something had to do with that the reason why I have no dangerous recall on vehicle. The contact owns a 2012 Infiniti QX56. The contact stated that while driving at 56 MPH, the vehicle slowed down and failed to respond as intended. An oil change was performed; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that the high-pressure fuel pump was leaking, causing the timing chain to fail. The check engine warning light illuminated, and the failure progressed, causing the vehicle to stall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle failed on the side of the road and was towed to the residence. The contact used an OBD scanner and retrieved DTC: P0021, P0011, and P0300. The manufacturer was contacted about the failure, and Customer Service Program Number: P6305. The VIN was provided, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was not covered under the campaign and that the campaign had expired. The failure mileage was approximately 175,000.

There are times when driving under 50 mph brake light comes on and the brakes have goes out which cause me to do an emergency pullover turn off the truck for a few minutes and the brakes reset. This is very concerning for me. This has happened on a few occasions.

The contact stated that the fuel gauge indicated that there was fuel in the vehicle while the fuel tank was empty. There was no warning light illuminated. No further information was available. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V074000 (Fuel System, Other) however, the VIN was not included. SUSPENSION
A subframe is a key structural component of every car. As such, it stands to reason that it should last as long as the car itself. Doing much research on this model suspension and subframes become rusted as I didn’t know this when purchasing making it very unsafe . I experienced being involved in almost 2 accidents. Very dangerous. Subframe split in half and suspension. Something needs to be done as a lot of people are going thru this issue and Infiniti slogan claims “new horizons” by no means new horizon going to heaven by driving their vehicles.

There was previous recall on this vehicle, 10V-074 (Infiniti #R1011) for a fuel sender problem, causing the fuel gauge to be inaccurate. Infiniti says it was fixed in 2010. Unfortunately, I am having the exact same problem now, and have run out of gas twice because of it. Infiniti said they can't help because it was already fixed. Safety issue because running out of fuel while driving is dangerous. Both times has been on an interstate. It was a previously reported recall and "fixed" but has failed again. Infiniti says they won't fix it again.

SERVICE BRAKES
My wife was driving home from work, said brake is failing, makes loud grindy, rattling noise when brake is applied. Once the car is turn off and back on, everything is back to normal. When I got home, i took the wheels off to check everything was ok, pads were almost new, which I replaced last year. Drove around for 10 miles no problem. This is a serious safety issue which Nissan/Infiniti should take care of.

AIR BAGS
The passenger airbag restraint system has failed. Specifically, the passenger seat airbag sensor has failed, meaning there is no current airbag functionality for the passenger in my 2010 Infiniti QX56. There was a voluntary safety recall for (R1606) for Infiniti QX56's with years 2014-2016 for the same fault. Obviously, this is a tremendous life and safety risk and should be resolved by the manufacturer.

The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the timing chain had failed, and the failure was related to Infiniti Campaign Number: P6305. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the campaign had expired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 115,000.
