All four tires are wearing unevenly. The outside of the tires are worn down much more than the middle and inside edge of tires. I noticed this six months ago, have called Toyota and brought the truck to the dealership and they stated there is no issue. I had the exact same Make/Model/Trim (3rd Generation Tundra TRD Pro) from 2022, and the tires wore out in the exact same manner. A safety recall was issued for this and all four tires were replaced and the alignment was adjusted to a "new standard" because it was determined that on this trim level, the original factory alignment was incorrect. This issue still hasn't been resolved as it is happening the exact same on the 2025 as it did on previous model years of the same trim. Toyota and dealership both refuse to even consider that this may be the same issue requiring a recall and replacement of tires and proper alignment. An internet search and an NHTSA search on this issue shows multiple instances of this complaint and nothing has been done to rectify.

The frame is bad on driver and passenger side between the cab and bed. Auto body tech states there is no good metal to make the necessary repairs (welding new metal) to at this time. Inspection garage states it is a solid truck but will not pass inspection due to the frame’s condition. The vehicle has 106k miles on it with one surface area of rust. The vehicle has been well maintained and is mechanically in good condition. Toyota should have replaced the frames because they knew there was an issue. Can NHTSA help with a resolution?

This was just the latest with this transmission. It happens 2 to 3 times per week. This time it was an intersection with a slight down hill. I stopped, then let off the brake as a car past in front of me. Since it was down hill, the truck started to roll forward. I then pressed on the gas pedal to pull out into traffic. The truck failed to responds for 1-2 seconds. There was plenty of space for a normal vehicle to make it, but with this delay, I barely made it. If you are not at a complete stop for at least 1 second, then accelerate, this thing fails to respond. It has been in many times for this, had the software updated, downgraded, generated reports for Toyota's engineering group. Still no fix. You never know how it is going to respond, but basically if you need it to accelerate, when you request it through the gas pedal, it will fail to do so.

The monitor loses connection and requires a pin to come back up. While driving, following map directions, this requires you to try and do this while driving. Very dangerous. Especially in heavy traffic at speed . Thank you.

My 2024 Toyota Tundra imax hybrid started off with a knocking sound. I took it into a certified Toyota dealership to have it inspected. I was then told that they had ordered a part it needed to fix the problem. After not hearing back and the knocking getting louder. I reached back out and took it back for further inspection. They then told me that it needed a system update. After running the update, a couple of times later after diving the Tundra, it had a power issue when pushing the gas to accelerate. I then reached out to Toyota once again and took it back to be serviced. They told me that they test drove my truck and had no issues with acceleration. So I went and picked it up. Just a couple days after receiving my truck back, I was at an intersection with the blinking turn signal and attempted to take off when the truck completely stalled out. I had two cars almost crash into me, but barely missed! I started the truck back and went directly home. I then told Toyota about the situation and they told me to bring it back in. It then stalled again when I was taking it to the dealership. Once I got it back to the dealership and told them what happened, they said they would look into it. After they had it the first few days I never heard anything back, so I called to see what was going on with my truck. They told me that they were waiting to hear back from corporate Toyota for further directions from TAS. My truck then sat there for a few weeks. I kept reaching out to see what was going on and all they kept telling me is that they were working on it, and that they test drove the truck, but couldn’t get it to stall. I had the Toyota app on my phone, showing the mileage, and the mileage had never moved. Letting me know that they hadn’t actually test drove it. So after all of this, they never did any work on my truck. I was now scared to drive it, and honestly didn’t want it back.

The tailgate remote operation is inconsistent. it usually does not work and the tailgate has to be lowered by randomly applying pressure in different spots. Nothing seems consistent. Once it opens then it may work a few times then goes back to not working. This is true regardless of the "switch" used (Key fob, button on rear of vehicle in tail light assembly, button on the gate itself, switch/button on dash). I had it in the dealer 2 months after taking deliver and they told me it was fixed now a couple months later it is happening again.

While driving, the sunroof suddenly exploded without any external cause. The temperature at the time was approximately 42°F. The glass shattered throughout the interior of the vehicle, with pieces falling into my clothing and all over the cabin.I immediately contacted the dealership and was advised to visit the nearest Toyota location; however, there wasn’t one nearby. I had to cover the vehicle with a tarp to continue my 4 hour drive home. Thankfully, I was traveling alone—had my family been with me, including my [XXX] infant, this could have resulted in severe injury, as glass would have fallen directly on the car seat. The dealership later inspected the vehicle and found no evidence of any outside influence or impact that could have caused the explosion. I’m deeply concerned about the safety implications of this failure and would like to understand how Toyota plans to address this situation, as well as ensure this does not pose a continued risk to other drivers. While operating my 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro under normal conditions, I started the vehicle and activated standard factory equipment including the seat heaters and window/mirror defrosters. Shortly thereafter, I noticed a slight acrid odor inside the vehicle, which quickly became more pronounced. I drove approximately 200 feet, and immediately returned to my driveway. Upon shutting the vehicle down, I observed smoke coming from the engine compartment. I opened the hood and confirmed smoke and signs of an electrical fire originating in the engine bay. I used a fire extinguisher to extinguish the fire and then disconnected the vehicle’s battery. No injuries occurred. The vehicle was not restarted and was subsequently towed to an authorized Toyota dealership for inspection. Visible damage is present in the engine compartment, including the main fuse/relay box and associated electrical components. The incident occurred without collision and during normal vehicle operation.

NHTSA 25V322 indicates potential issue with reverse lamp assemblies as well as the remedy. Recall Status indicates "remedy not yet available". It has been over 6 months (5/15/25 to 2/9/26) since this safety recall was filed. This has been an unreasonably long time and Toyota should be compelled to initiate the remedy immediately and provide a detailed explanation as to why it is failing to meet its own code of conduct with respect to product safety and the law.

The engine repair was a short block only, even thoe the main bearings spun and sent debis threw the engine. #1 rod went as well. Apon recieving the truck back, with in 200 miles, I've had the same hesitation with the engines as I had just before the first engine failed. Took it by the dealer and no issues found. oil preasure stays up and temp normal. I've had many issue with throtle lag sence day one. The milage has stayed in the low 11 gpm when before i would get on average 14 to 16. Dealer stated toyota would make it right if the engine fails again. Very unhappy with Toyota as I feel they are just kicking the can down the road.

Had recalled engine replaced on 12/6/25. on 1/22/26 took vehicle into dealership with issues with vibration in engine and hesitation at certain speeds, tonight 2/5/26 engine completely lost power at 65 mph on highway, dashboard flashing with every error to be had for Toyota engine. No power, rolled into emergency lane. Put hazards on. Turned engine off. Waited and engine was re-started and made it home. Extremely dangerous situation!!!

There was a recall for the frame rusting out prematurely. Toyota had the recall until 2012. I did not own the truck then and it did not get fixed. Now I have a rusted out frame. Toyota is claiming they are not able to fix the frame due to it being 14 years later. They would however be able to keep the recall open if it is a safety recall. I don't know how a rusted out frame wouldn't be anything other than safety. The truck has less than 80,000 miles. What automobile should have a rusted out frame with less than 100,000 miles?!
