The front windshield has a large crack from the top middle to the middle left on the passenger’s side. I didn’t notice anything hit it, just got in the car and it was there. It is available for inspection, but with the length of the crack I don’t feel safe driving it. I’ve read reviews online that the new Camry’s windshield is a faulty. Can you please look into this?

I am reporting a brake failure issue that matches the symptoms described in NHTSA Campaign Number 19V-544 (Toyota recall for brake booster vacuum pump failure). My 2018 Camry has experienced loss of brake assist, making it difficult to stop safely and requiring excessive pedal pressure. Despite these symptoms and the known recall for this issue, my VIN is not currently included. This raises concerns that the recall scope was too limited and that my vehicle should be included. I have contacted both the dealer and Toyota corporate, and I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this defect further and consider expanding the recall. This is a serious safety issue.

Two weeks prior, car began rough idling at stop-lights, intermittently. Then one morning, after refueling, the car sputtered and failed to start. The MIL light came on, with display warnings: “Charging System Malfunction” and Steering Power Low”. Car eventually started and barely made it to Carlsbad (CA) Toyota. DTC code pulled was P0171: “System Too Lean Bank 1”. It was diagnosed with low or leaking high-pressure reading for the high-pressure fuel rail. They replaced all four high-pressure direct injectors. However, idle roughness persisted until they replaced the canister purge valve. Car has only used Costco top-tier fuel. Injectors should not have failed at 47,000 miles; likely defective. Fuel pump was replaced years ago under recall, and I was told that fuel pump pressure was fine.

Driver door has remained in lock position when I tried to exit the car. Could NOT manually move the inside door lock and had to climb over the middle console to exit the car. I see this as a safety issue, as exiting the car slowly during an emergency could have caused an emergency. Also, for persons who are older or have physical mobility issues, climbing over console could be impossible. In addition to this issue, and possible related, is the fact the driver door actuator does not function properly. Hence, when trying to use my remote key fob, driver door will not unlock. This is potential for an emergency; for example, if trying to quickly get into car in a parking lot where there can be potential thieves, I am delayed getting safely into my car, since I have to use a key to unlock driver door. If I go around to passenger door, I would have to climb over console to get to driver seat. I am [XXX]. This is not ideal. I am original owner of the car. This issue has sporadically been a problem for several yrs. I took the car to 2 repair shops in Ca. Neither could determine how to make the repair after having to remove inside door panel. I have read there are THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS about this over the yrs., and Toyota has refused to make a recall campaign. I hope you can help initiate one. Current average estimate to try to repair this is $750. , and that does not include the lock that sometimes sticks in closed position. My VIN for my 2012 Toyota camry LE 4cyl was never listed for a recall that my vehicle should have been included on. 2012 Toyota Transmission U760e shuddering issue and ECM issue. By VIN there are no past or present recalls listed, but after extensive research my vehicle does qualify for this fix by the manufacture for faulty transmission parts. My vehicle is equipped with this transmission U760e confirmed by the label in the door jamb. My vehicle has been dealer maintained since I became owner in 2013 and never once did I get a recall letter or be made aware of a recall from the dealerships. The issue is this recall gave a specific timeline on when owners had to bring their car in for this fix and that timeline has passed. I believe im owed this recall fix on my vehicle and need it reviewed because my car shudders going 40-50mph, the Toyota dealership has inspected my car and quoted me for a torque converter replacement $4,500.00 my car only has 127,000 miles. Carfax report is available to show my consistent dealer maintenance and repairs along with the below average miles driven based on the year of my vehicle.

Wife was driving back home on I-280 around 60-65 mph back home when suddenly the back sunroof glass section POP and she started hearing small objects dragging. As soon as she was available to pull over to check it, she realize the whole back glass of the sunroof was cracked. She tried calling Toyota Sunnyvale to report it and best they could help her with was to make a claim with the insurance and pay the deductible of $500 because they saying this was from an “external influence”. They gave us a “rental vehicle” while their inspectors engineers called for non-manufactured issue when; - how will you get hit on the sunroof while driving at 60-65 mph on the freeway? - how is it possible that a small size object could shatter a whole TEMPERED GLASS and also, outline crack all around instead of a center hit like they mentioned. - if there was an external object hitting the sunroof why isn’t any internal damage if it’s right above the sunroof motor. If it was something that big to shatter a whole tempered glass section wouldn’t it damage the motor as is right on the center of the shatter too?. Last but not least, we were “handle” a rental car while they were “inspecting” the vehicle until next coming Monday (2 days later as we took it on a Saturday) we were told to take the vehicle and bring it in the next coming Monday but with that level of shatter it would of fall apart more and would of been an issue for the inspection for them to put it on me as a bigger hit WHITCH THEY DID! And made me pay for the rental days and quote me a $4,700.oo repair labor for the damage part as they determinate it wasn’t manufacture. No one could give an explanation of how did they determinate it when I have an other Toyota that DOES! Have an external object crack on the wind shield AND ITS MINIMAL! Not the whole windshield.

2019 Toyota Camry VIN: [XXX] Issue: Blown head gasket and required engine replacement Mileage at failure: 116,598 approximately Mileage I am filing this complaint due to a sudden and significant engine failure in my 2019 Toyota Camry. Despite regular service at certified Toyota dealerships only things wasn’t serviced at the dealership was my brakes and tires, and a transmission flush in September 27, 2024. Other than that my recent visit to Bulter Toyota was March 21st 2025 which included a $334.17 maintenance visit in March 2025 and my car was good at the time I was told. Now a month later [XXX] my vehicle experienced a blown head gasket with no prior warning or indication of trouble just a check engine light one day [XXX] it never overheated. The issue was diagnosed on April 21, 2025 at Bulter Toyota. Currently renting a car from Bulter Toyota for $42.00 a day my car has been there for 9days The dealership has stated that the engine must be replaced at a cost of $5,335. Additionally, the technician made a concerning statement suggesting my car “looked like it had been in an accident,” even though the vehicle has never been in any collision. This further raised questions about internal defects or manufacturing issues. Toyota Corporate has been contacted, is currently conducting an internal investigation into this matter. However, I am submitting this complaint to NHTSA to ensure it is formally documented outside of Toyota’s internal review process. This is especially important given the pattern of similar complaints involving 2019 Toyota Camrys with the 2.5L 4-cylinder engine, including reports of overheating, coolant leaks, and head gasket failures. I am requesting a full investigation into potential defects related to engine performance and safety in 2019 Toyota Camry models. If a recall is later issued, I respectfully request to be included for possible reimbursement or remedy.
