Flash: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Updates This bulletin involves reprogramming the Engine Control Module/Powertrain Control Module (ECM/PCM) with the latest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that one or more of the following DTCs have been set:There will be a choice between two calibrations. One for vehicles that utilize an ammonia sensor and one for vehicles that have had the ammonia sensor removed. If you are replacing the timing housing gasket due to an oil leak, please take detailed pictures of the leak, and submit them to the Star Center. Once submitted, continue with the repair. During the repair, check the breakaway torque of the gear housing retaining bolts. If any are found to be loose, note the location of the loose bolt(s) in the Star case.
