My vehicle has experienced a serious and extremely dangerous loss-of-propulsion condition on three separate occasions. The first time this happened, my RAM only had 4,513 miles on the odometer. I addressed this issue with my Carl Burger Dodge advisor in writing when I dropped it off and asked him to call me about it, but he never did. He also did not add anything I mentioned on my departure paperwork. He completely ignored this liability. While driving normally in DRIVE, the truck unexpectedly shifts out of gear and effectively goes into NEUTRAL without any input from me. The “P”/Park indicator flashes, the vehicle will no longer respond to accelerator input, and I lose the ability to accelerate. To recover the vehicle, I have had to bring it to a complete stop, shift into PARK, and then shift back into DRIVE before propulsion is restored. This is not a normal transmission shift or a minor drivability concern. The vehicle is unexpectedly losing the ability to accelerate while in motion. This creates a serious safety risk, particularly in traffic, while merging, crossing intersections, or traveling at highway speeds. The condition has occurred three separate times, and I have video documentation of one of the incidents. I have also identified other reported complaints involving 2025 Ram 1500 vehicles experiencing similar unexpected loss of propulsion, neutral/gear-selection problems, flashing gear indicators, and the need to stop the vehicle and reselect PARK and DRIVE. I am therefore formally placing Ram/Stellantis on notice that I consider this a substantial safety defect and am requesting that the manufacturer repurchase the vehicle rather than simply continuing an open-ended repair process.

Subject: URGENT SAFETY ESCALATION – Unintended Highway Braking + Ongoing Defects – 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten – VIN [XXX] – Previous $10,000 Settlement Dear Ram / Stellantis Customer Care and Escalation Team, I am writing to escalate a critical safety defect and continuing problems with my 2025 Ram 1500 Tungsten. Vehicle details: VIN: [XXX] Current mileage: 17,500 Purchased: XXX Dealership: Billion – [XXX] Owner: [XXX] In May Stellantis provided a $10,000 cash settlement related to multiple electrical and other faults. Despite that settlement, the vehicle has continued to experience significant and escalating problems. NEW SERIOUS Critical safety issue – Unintended Automatic Braking: While using Hands-Free Active Driving Assist (or related ADAS systems) at 80 mph on the freeway with a clear lane ahead, the truck has slammed on the brakes without cause. This occurred once last year and has now happened two additional times. The most recent incident (Monday) nearly resulted in a serious accident when a vehicle behind me was forced to swerve to avoid a rear-end collision. My natural reaction was also to brake, which compounded the danger. This is a clear and dangerous safety defect involving the Automatic Emergency Braking / ADAS systems. I am currently forced to continue operating the vehicle with these known faults for approximately two more weeks before Billion in [XXX] can schedule service. Additional ongoing defects and repair history: The latest issue involves the engine revs surging up and down at idle, with the engine nearly stalling before recovering. Since new (XXX), this vehicle has already been in the workshop/garage 8 times and I have been provided with 8 rental vehicles. This will now become the 9th workshop visit and 9th rental once the dealership can take it in approximately two weeks. These continued defects — especially the unintended hard braking at highway speed — substantially impair the safe INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

We have previously took in our RAM several times this year for issues related to recall B4C/NHTSA 25V-826. The CLUSTER keeps going blank and 12 inch screen freezes and goes blank, and does not work at different times, especially car play.

When driving between 18/25 miles per hour the engine Revs up to 6000 RPM and truck loses power. This has happened to me twice while driving , it also happened to the mechanic at the Dealership when it was towed there. The dealership had my truck for two weeks trying to fix the problem. After running a Diagnostic test it showed no codes. Stalantis was notified and they said they will NOT do anything to try and fix the problem. This is a real problem that I have seen other people have the same problem , and Stalantis refuses to do anything about it. This is a real danger if you are driving and you have no power. This first happened to me the first time on 8/03/2026. The second time was 8/04/2026, then for the mechanic on 8/10/2026.

The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V059000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The local dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that only one part was shipped to the dealer per week. The contact then stated that while driving at highway speeds and towing a trailer, the message "Service Trailer System" was displayed the instrument panel. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 5,800.

2025 Ram 1500, VIN [XXX]. Instrument cluster recall/software update performed in February 2026 after the cluster previously went blank. Since completion of the recall remedy, the digital instrument cluster has gone completely out two additional times. Both occurrences are documented by video and reported to the authorized dealer. Dealer has acknowledged the recurring problem and states they are awaiting direction from Stellantis engineering for a fix. Additionally, the vehicle has experienced two documented failures of the rear backup camera. The vehicle also currently has two unrelated safety recalls awaiting parts. I am concerned that the instrument-cluster recall remedy has not corrected the safety defect and that the recurring cluster and camera failures represent ongoing safety issues. The contact owns a 2025 Ram 1500. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 26V059000 (Exterior Lighting, Electrical System) and 26V495000 (Seat Belts); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving and towing a trailer, the brake pedal was depressed, but the trailer brakes failed to engage, causing the vehicle to drift into oncoming traffic. The contact stated that approaching drivers reacted promptly and avoided the vehicle, preventing a crash. The contact pulled over to the side of the road. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the trailer brakes, brake lights, and taillights were inoperable while towing. The contact disconnected the trailer from the vehicle, and the vehicle operated as intended. The trailer was then transported by a U-Haul truck. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the failure was confirmed; however, the contact was informed that parts were unavailable for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that parts were available and needed to be ordered by the dealer; however, the dealer stated parts were on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the display screen had been replaced four times due to a black screen failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

- #11758190August 20, 2026STEERING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
My 2025 Ram 1500 has experienced seven separate incidents in which the steering suddenly became extremely difficult or impossible to turn. The most recent incident occurred on August 20, 2026. During these events, I temporarily lose the ability to steer the vehicle normally, creating an immediate risk of a crash. A vehicle diagnostic scan recorded repeated U0131 faults for lost communication with the Power Steering Control Module in multiple control modules. The Electric Power Steering module also recorded communication faults involving the PCM, transmission, ABS, and body control module. The scan additionally showed an active B2204 ECU configuration mismatch. This steering failure has occurred seven times and has not been permanently corrected. There is no warning. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this repeated loss of steering control in the 2025 Ram 1500.

On August 16, 2026, at approximately 12:00 PM, while driving a 2025 Dodge Ram Rebel GT during a rainfall event with an ambient temperature of approximately 80°F, the vehicle's glass spontaneously shattered with no external object or debris impact. The vehicle's air conditioning system was actively running inside the cab, creating a severe thermal differential against the exterior rainwater. The vehicle was also actively towing a personal watercraft trailer at the time of the failure. The glass failed with an explosive, gunshot-like noise, indicating a catastrophic release of internal glass tension rather than a stone impact. This unexpected glass blowout presents an immediate passenger safety hazard and visibility impairment while operating under towing conditions.

My RAM vehicle has several open safety recalls. For more than six months, I have repeatedly contacted my local authorized RAM dealership (Dodge Chrysler Jeep Ram FIAT of Winter Haven, Address: [XXX], Phone: [XXX]) to have these safety recalls completed. The dealership has advised me that the required recall parts are unavailable and therefore they cannot perform the repairs. I also contacted RAM/Mopar customer service directly for assistance in obtaining the recall repairs and scheduling an appointment. RAM/Mopar has been unable to provide a definite date when the required parts will become available or when the safety recall repairs can be completed. I am concerned that I have been required to continue operating a vehicle with known safety recalls for more than six months without a clear repair date or an available remedy. I am requesting NHTSA's assistance in reviewing this matter and determining whether RAM/Stellantis is meeting its obligations to provide the required safety-recall remedies within a reasonable time. On June 29, 2025, the CEL started blinking and the truck started shuttering. I was able to pull over to the side of the road where I discovered the truck would idle but not move without stalling. I then had the vehicle towed to the nearest dealership. Upon receiving the vehicle, the dealership diagnosed a short in the wiring harness. Once the wiring harness replaced, it was discovered that the wiring harness short took out the ISCM which was then replaced, for a second time.

On October 12, 2025, while on the highway, the CEL started blinking and the truck began misfire and shutter. I was able to get to the side of the road where I discovered the truck would idle but would barely move. It was towed to the closest dealership where they attempted to reflash the PCM and ISCM which is associated with Stellantis TSB 08-31025 REV. B. The PCM was flashed but the ISCM needed to be replaced. This was successful for another 9,484 miles where the issue repeated which, I will create another incident for.

- #11756828August 13, 2026VISIBILITY/WIPER
The outside ambient temperature sensor on my 2025 Ram 1500 is fundamentally flawed by design, routinely reading 10 to 15 degrees Fahrenheit hotter than the actual external temperature due to solar soaking inside the driver-side mirror housing. While this appears to be a convenience issue, it creates a direct driver safety hazard. Because this sensor feeds critical ambient data to the vehicle's computer modules, its extreme inaccuracy directly disrupts the automated climate control safety systems. During near-freezing or sudden inclement weather conditions, the vehicle's automated windshield defroster, cabin defogger, and heated side-view mirrors fail to automatically trigger or adjust correctly because the truck falsely believes it is much warmer outside than it actually is. This causes sudden, severe windshield fogging and ice buildup that reduces driver visibility. The manufacturer needs to issue a technical service bulletin, a software recalculation, or a physical sensor relocation kit to resolve this systemic safety defect.

I've tried to get my local dealer to repair my vehicles recall and no matter how many times I visit, they tell me there is a waiting list with 12 people in front of me and they can only get 1 part per week. So I wait 4 months and again there is 12 people in front of me for repairs. Benoit Motors, Rosepine, LA 70634
