Per Warranty Bulletin D-23-17 from Mopar, I have a 2019 RAM 1500 that has the EXACT issue that MOPAR has outlined where the Power Sliding Rear window - also known as the Backlite - has a cracked frame. My vehicle has been sitting for 3 1/2 weeks at the dealership as the vehicle's rear window is leaking into the vehicle's interior and RAM/Stellanis/Mopar is not providing an update on covering the extended warranty for this manufacturing defect. A supervisor I spoke with on 5/7/26 last week at RAM confirmed that my vehicle does have the Rear Sliding Rear window addressed in this bulletin and in addition the dealership the vehicle is at has also confirmed the vehicle has the same issue with the cracked frame they've seen many times before and repaired under warranty. They are also requesting MOPAR to cover this. My vehicle is only 6 1/2 years old and well under the 8 year/150k mile extension they are providing this fix for. I have a case I opened with them which they are not doing anything to cover this with: XXX- with [XXX] . INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Part affected Coolant system-heater core and coolant engine components are prone to premature failure exposing driver and passengers to breathing in strong coolant fumes. Also engine temperatures rise to extremely high levels causing engine failure while driving causing potential for serious harm or death. The problem has been reproduced on a regular basis. The vehicle has been inspected. There is no warning signs or lamps unless your dash menu is set specifically to digital temperature settings. Extremely strong breathable coolant is obvious almost immediately when heat is activated. Thousands of online complaints are listed and to the Ram Stellantis Company. - #11737991May 15, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, STEERING
While driving on the highway, I first noticed the vehicle becoming difficult to steer. The steering felt unusually heavy and sluggish, as if power steering assistance was reduced or failing. Shortly after this began, multiple warning lights illuminated across the dashboard. At that point, braking performance also became severely compromised. The brake pedal felt soft and traveled nearly to the floor with very limited stopping power. The vehicle required significantly increased distance to slow and stop, creating a serious safety hazard in active highway traffic. The combination of reduced steering assist and severely degraded braking performance made the vehicle difficult to control and presented a significant safety risk. I was able to bring the vehicle to a stop and it was later towed to a dealership. At the time of inspection, the battery was found to be dead. I had recently returned from a 5-day trip and the vehicle required a jump start before this driving event. The dealership replaced the battery and stated the vehicle was operating normally after repair. However, the incident involved progressive loss of steering assist followed by significant loss of braking performance at highway speed. I am reporting this as a serious safety concern because multiple critical vehicle control systems were affected while driving. I am concerned about potential recurrence of this issue and the risk it presents to driver and public safety. The vehicle is available for inspection.

- #11737550May 13, 2026STEERING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The vehicle is experiencing an intermittent and unpredictable loss of power steering assist. The steering becomes extremely stiff and difficult to turn, often immediately upon startup or while at a standstill, then randomly becomes loose again before returning to a stiff state. This creates a significant safety hazard as the effort required to steer changes without warning during operation. Upon inspection, the electrical connectors to the EPS rack were found to be clean and free of corrosion, suggesting an internal failure of the Electronic Power Steering motor or control module. This issue is identical to the safety concerns addressed in NHTSA Recall 16V-167 (S19), but this specific VIN is not currently included in that recall.

Front gas tank strap rotted out and broke causing the trap to carve into the drive shaft.im lucky i had just come off the parkway but drive shaft was looked at as dangerous and could split in half .It is know there is a recall on the straps and an extended repair of 12 years. They emailed me saying they won’t cover either repair. Also saying the driveshaft is not covered but the problem they admit to caused the second repair? I have a repair bill and a number of other people on the internet that have had the same issue from this broken tank strap. My truck was at the westbury dealer a number of times over the years and they never once brought this up to me. Please help me. I am retired 67 years old and I feel I’m being taken advantage of. T. Y PS I could have been serious injured

The truck was working fine, went to start it and the trucks electric power steering was no longer working. We brought to shop and got an est of $3,000-$4,000 to fix the repair. We didnt have the money at the time and brought the truck home. It proceeded to work randomly after a turn but next start up failed to work and has been like this for a year. There is a warning like that comes on that says abs system.

I am writing to report a Failed Recall Remedy under 49 U.S. Code § 30120 regarding the Z46 high-pressure fuel pump safety recall on my vehicle. The dealership accepted the vehicle in its current state, performed the safety recall, and certified the vehicle as safe. However, the engine suffered a catastrophic failure 250 miles later due to the exact system addressed in the recall. I was previously told that nothing could be done, which is unacceptable as federal law requires a safety defect to be remedied at no cost. The dealership did not follow the recall instructions and just put a new hpfp in a contaminated fuel system.

The exhaust manifold on both sides of the motor have cracked and have broken bolts. The Ram dealer confirmed it and says it is a known issue that the manufacturer will not fix. With the crack and broken bolts, exhaust fumes are leaking out. It gets nauseating in the cab of the truck if the windows are up for too long. My independent mechanic is set to replace the manifolds with aftermarket ones due to literature saying the OEM will end up the same way. No dash lights have illuminated.

The check engine light and the battery warning lights came on. Took it to the dealership and they diagnosed the problem to be the MOTOR GENERATING UNIT (MGU). This is a known problem with the ram truck. The parts to fix it are on back order at a minimum of 45 days.

My 2019 Ram 1500 equipped with the eTorque system experienced a sudden failure involving the eTorque/hybrid system at approximately 88,000 miles. The failure caused the vehicle to become disabled and left my [XXX] daughter and me stranded on a busy roadway, creating a serious safety hazard. The vehicle required towing and diagnosis by an authorized Ram dealership. I was informed that the failure involved the eTorque system/components and was required to pay approximately $3,298 for repairs. After researching the issue, I discovered numerous similar complaints involving Ram 1500 eTorque system failures, including reports of sudden shutdowns, loss of power, and expensive repairs. There are also pending lawsuits and NHTSA investigations involving these systems. I believe this represents a widespread safety-related defect involving the Ram eTorque system and request that NHTSA investigate these failures further. Please see attached document for further information. That letter was submitted to Ram for reimbursement purposes. Thank you! While driving my 2016 RAM 1500 Eco diesel, the vehicle suddenly lost power and would not accelerate beyond 40 mph. The malfunction occurred while driving under normal road conditions and created a safety concern because the truck was unable to maintain normal traffic speed. Prior to failure, a warning light appeared on the dashboard related to emissions/exhaust system. The truck entered into a reduce power/limp mode and became difficult to operate in traffic. The truck has been at the Folsom Lake Dodge dealership since March 22, 2026 awaiting a replacement part related to a recall/manufacturer issue. I was informed the part may be available around May 22, 2026.
