At 8:00 PM, driving 70 MPH on [XXX] from Dallas to Houston, Texas, multiple warning lights and messages illuminated on the dash. Other than a low fuel warning, there were no other warnings or messages at the time of the incident. The warnings and messages displayed were "AWD Error", AEB system OFF, RAB system OFF, slip indicator or VDC OFF, master warning light, and "Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service now." When this occurred, the vehicle began decelerating, and I was unable to accelerate and return to highway speeds. I was driving in the left lane and had to make my way to the shoulder on the right of the highway. Fortunately, I came to a stop approximately two miles from the [XXX] exit for Centerville, Texas. It would have been extremely dangerous to remain on the shoulder, especially after sunset, so after reading the owner's manual, I decided to travel the shoulder at the very reduced speed my vehicle allowed. After exiting to a safe location and refueling, I called 24/7 Nissan roadside assistance at 8:50 PM. I was told a tow truck would arrive around 10:20 PM, and I would receive text messages with status updates. I called three more times, at 9:32, 11:28, and 11:54 PM. I never received a text message because no towing providers were ever located and dispatched to my location. On the final call at 11:54, I was told they would try again at 8:00 AM. Centerville, Texas is a small town with a population under 1,000 people. I was left stranded nearly 150 miles from home in a non-major metropolitan city without ample resources such as uber to take me to the nearest hotel. Furthermore, had I not called back, no one from Nissan was going to inform me that I would not receive a tow. The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, there was white smoke entering inside the cabin of the vehicle from the exhaust pipes. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact pulled over to the shoulder of the roadway and exited the vehicle safely. In addition, the vehicle would not crank or restart. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 24,850.

I was drivin during the day with no one in front of me and all of a sudden the car was beeping, an alert flashed on the dash and my car skidded to a stop. The alert flashed so quickly I wasn’t able to see what it was and I had no control over my car. Fortunately no one was behind me.

POWER TRAIN
The transmission on my 2017 Nissan Rogue is failing. I was driving from Queens, New York towards my home in New Jersey with my 10 year old nephew. There was a lot of stop and go traffic. Once I got into Manhattan, I noticed my car was having a hard time accelerating. The RPMs would go up to 4 but my car wouldn't go pass 40 miles on the speedometer. I pulled over to the side and turned off and turned on my car to try to reset it. It worked and I was able to continue driving. However, when I got to the Lincoln Tunnel entrance, the same issue was happening. Because it was stop and go traffic. I decided to again turn off and turn on my car. This time, when I tried turning it on, the car wouldn't turn on. I attempted it again and on the 3rd try, I was able to get it started, the check engine light came on, but the car drove fine until I got home. I took it to the dealership the next day, and they told me the transmission is failing and it would cost me $6200 to replace it. I asked if there was a recall on it, they said there was but my warranty expired. I thought the warranty was extended for another 10 years. Is this not the case? I'm confused by what I'm reading online. Is my dealership required to replace my transmission at no cost? This is a pretty dangerous situation as I don't feel safe driving my car anymore, it was especially scary since I had my nephew with me.

Pulling out of a dollar general store was hit by a truck causing sever vehicle damage. Air bags and collision avoidance did not work. Engine did not shut down was still running after collision, no warning lights came on. I had to shut the car off. Could not move the car frame was broken. Called nissain a couple of times was told a rep would look at it but it could take up to 6 weeks never got a follow up call. Hit my head on the steering wheel.Have not contacted a lawyer as of yet

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at 25 MPH, there was a popping sound detected. The vehicle veered to the left, lost control, and crashed into an unknown Jeep. The warning system failure message was displayed. The vehicle failed to shift out of gear. The contact noticed that the tire was detached from the vehicle. The contact stated that the failure was related to NHTSA Action Number PE24020 (steering). The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, who determined that the failure was due to the crash and impact. The mechanic diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the front inner tie rod needed to be replaced. The mechanic informed him there was no warranty coverage. A police report was filed. There were no reported injuries, air bag deployment, or fire. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 36,500.

The contact owns a 2016 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the vehicle jerked forward, and the RPM increased. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 98,200.

While parked and waiting for drive-thru service, my Nissan Rogue began to smoke and immediately turned into flames under the hood. There was no malfunction or problems before this incident. Approximately 15 minutes prior to the incident, the driver stopped and filled truck with gas. After driving from the gas station, the driver went approximately 10 miles for food, where the car began smoking, and flames coming from under the hood. There were no warning signs, messages or malfunctions prior to this incident. The car was running quietly and smoothly and had not encountered any problems prior to the incident.

I purchased my 22 Rogue Feb 22 brand new. First Issue: January 2023(2600 miles), engine oil drain pan had to be replaced. Apparently, it broke during oil change at dealership. I've heard others complain about the same thing. Second issue, 6500 miles (June 2024): *suv begun driving weird. While driving the vehicle jerks, shudders, and acts like it is going to lose power. Losing power / shuddering while driving can be a danger to myself or others driving around me if suv unexpectedly reduces in speed. This happens during both high and low speeds. *Suv also stalls when trying to accelerate from a complete stop. Not sure if this was related to the software update (recall) I done at the dealership June 24, but issue 2 started immediately afterwards. Suv was taken to dealership when I started experiencing issue 2. Dealership had vehicle for 2 weeks, but return vehicle and said nothing was wrong. They said the Nissan Engineer that came out found no issues as well. They did mention the Turbo lagging, but sd that's normal. Fast forward, 6 weeks later (Aug 24), returned suv to dealership because performance is worse AND now engine light is on. Dealership advised light is bcz fuel pump needs to be replaced, but stated different than the current fuel pump recall on some 22 Rogues. How is this possible? Based on my mileage, my car is still nearly brand new. Vehicle is at dealership now pending repairs.

ITS SUNDAY DEALERSHIP CLOSED NO RENTAL CARS. I ASK TO TOW BACK TO VEGAS. THEY SAY ABSOLUTELY NOT TOWING TO VICTORVILLE . AT THIS POINT VICTORVILLE IS 123 MILES AWAY - VEGAS IS 122. SAFETY - IT WAS 110 DEGREES WAITING 2 HOURS WITH NO SERVICES BUT BATHROOM . CURRENTLY VEHICLE IS AT VALLEY HY NISSAN IN VICTORVILLE AWAITING REPAIR . FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
This is about the 4th incident where when I am driving my car and all of a sudden a message flashes on the dashboard and the car brakes hard, while my foot is still on the gas. There are no other vehicles in front of me or icy roads. I am in the process of bringing to the dealer I purchased it from to run a diagnostics, but from what I have read this issue has been happening a lot with the 2018 models. I do not want to wait until I have an accident for this issue to be acknowledged or repaired.

Driver side door look slips and does not lock fully creating a life and safety issue for our families Rogue. This problem was addressed by Nissan in 2015 only, (vehicles manufactured June 5, 2015, to June 13, 2015. In the affected vehicles, the driver side front and rear doors may not fully latch. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 206, Door Locks and Door Retention Components."") but this is still an issue and I am having the same problem in my 2019 Rogue. Not sure why Nissan is not willing to fix the problem in additional Rogue years since this is still a life and death issue for the safety of the drivers.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
While driving home from work, the Nissan went from 50mph, suddenly down to 4mph. (literally 4mph) Pressing the gas down all the way would not allow the car to move any faster. It would occasionally get up to 15mph, but wouldn't stay. I was LUCKY beyond belief that a car or semi didn't hit me at highway speed before I could move over in rush hour traffic. Both the local dealership and Nissan USA executive offices concluded that this does not fall within the extended warranty forced on them by the NTHSA for many, many similar incidents. The dealer, asking like it was an oil change, asked if I wanted a new $9k transmission. As I can't afford anywhere near that, nor is the car worth it, I was required to drive it home from the dealership, again putting my life at risk. IN ADDITION - a recall repair was requested (the driver door wiring harness) - and the dealership told me that it was completed. They did not complete this recall either. Nissan should not be allowed to make vehicles in the USA. If they actually stood behind their product and made repairs and replacements when there are manufacturing issues, I would feel much better about the situation. For now- I want to ensure no one I care about actually dies from driving a Nissan.

After car is in park and idle for 20+ minutes the car begins to smell like fumes. Caused bad migraines and nausea - having to exit the car and leave the doors open for 30 minutes to remove the smell.
