SummaryMercedes-Benz AG (MBAG), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that the software for the engine control unit in the subject vehicles may not meet current specifications. Any catalytic converter aging might not be immediately detected and therefore, the check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) may not illuminate as required. After a cold start in the "catalytic converter heating" operating mode, misfires might occur, and the check engine MIL would be illuminated. Consequently, these issues may not meet regulatory requirements for on-board diagnostics and/or exhaust gas emissions MBUSA will conduct a voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign in which an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the software in the affected vehicles.

SummaryMercedes-Benz AG (âÂÂMBAGâÂÂ), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that the software for the engine control unit in the subject vehicles may not meet current specifications. As a result, the diagnosis for monitoring the air fuel ratio might not be activated in low load operation as intended. In addition, catalytic converter aging might not be immediately detected and so, may not illuminate a check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp (âÂÂMILâÂÂ). After a cold start in the "catalytic converter heating" operating mode, misfires might occur and the check engine MIL would be illuminated. Consequently, these issues may not meet local legal requirements for on-board diagnostics and/or exhaust gas emissions. MBUSA will conduct a voluntary Emissions Recall Campaign in which an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealer will update the software in the affected vehicles.

SummaryIn our continuing efforts to assure the proper performance of Mercedes-Benz products and to enhance the satisfaction of our customers, Mercedes-Benz USA ("MBUSA") is extending the coverage for the exhaust valve assembly on your vehicle as follows: Why the warranty extension? On certain Model Year 2011-2016 CL/CLS/S/E/ML/SL/G/GL/GLE-Class vehicles with V8 engines, the exhaust valve assembly might not work properly and result in an engine misfire and potential illumination of the check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp ('MIL'). Any repairs under this warranty extension must be performed by an authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership. If your preferred authorized Mercedes-Benz dealership performs a diagnosis and confirms that your vehicle has the issue, the repair will be covered under this extended warranty and performed at no cost to you. This extended warranty does not apply to any other components or conditions beyond the ones mentioned above, and standard warranty terms apply, including the exclusions with respect to additional expenses as identified in the Service and Warranty Information booklet.

SummaryThis NCU replaces the prior NCU issued on March 10, 2023, and contains clarification on reimbursement timeline and removal of damage codes related to intake valves/guide. In our continuing efforts to assure the proper performance of Mercedes-Benz products and to enhance the satisfaction of our customers, Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC ("MBUSA") is extending the warranty coverage on the exhaust valve system in certain Model Year ("MY") vehicles listed below as follows: MY 2011: Original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years / 50,000 miles New Vehicle to 12 years / 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) MY 2012: Original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years / 50,000 miles New Vehicle to 11 years / 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) MY 2013 - MY 2016: Original New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 4 years / 50,000 miles New Vehicle to 10 years / 120,000 miles (whichever occurs first) This extended warranty applies to the following condition that may necessitate the repair or replacement of components related to the exhaust valve assembly (e.g. exhaust valve, cylinder head) related to: •Over time, increased lateral forces may lead to wear in the valve guide and/or seat ring. This issue could potentially cause combustion misfire for cylinder 1 through 8 (right and/or left cylinder head), resulting in an activation of the check engine Malfunction Indicator Lamp ("MIL").

SummaryMercedes-Benz AG (âMBAGâ), the manufacturer of Mercedes-Benz vehicles, has determined that on certain MY 2018-2023 C-Class, EQE, EQE SUV, EQS, EQS SUV, GLC, GLE and S-Class (206, 295, 294, 297, 296, 254, 167 and 223 platform) vehicles, the communication module software does not correspond with the latest series production configuration. The update is free of charge and will be carried out in the background. The installation will eliminate software errors for a better entertainment experience. The update will show after the ignition has been cycled. MBUSA will conduct an OTA service campaign. A workshop visit for the customer is not required since remote software updates are automatically downloaded and installed in the customerâs vehicle. The OTA may be validated as successful on the customerâs Mercedes Me connect app under âOver-the-Air Vehicle Updatesâ as âUpdate for the communication moduleâ. If the OTA is successful it will show a green âinstalledâ and date of installation in the Over-the-Air update section.
