On multiple occasions, low oil warning lamp illuminates and I have confirmed low oil level. Dealer is unable to confirm and refuses to address Mazda TSB because oil level is no longer low since I topped it up. The failure lies in the valve seal assembly. My safety and that of my passengers is affected because in the event of a low oil incident, my ability to safely drive the speed limit and/or accelerate quickly is compromised. Should a catastrophic failure occur, engine would lose all power. Date of most recent incident marked below.

I have been the owner of a 2023 Mazda CX-30 since July 2023. On [XXX], 2023, I received automated warnings on the dashboard and through the Mazda App stating, "ActiveSense system malfunction. ActiveSense advanced safety and driver support system may not operate correctly." The service department at the dealership where I purchased the car explained that the sensors had overheated due to the hot weather. Unfortunately, a similar warning appeared on the dashboard on [XXX], and this time it resulted in damage to the car. On that day at 13:33, while maneuvering into a parking spot in the parking garage with my foot on the brake pedal, the car suddenly and rapidly accelerated and collided with a concrete post. Fortunately, I am unharmed but shaken, and the front of the car sustained damage. Immediately after the incident, I contacted the service department, explained the situation, and requested an emergency service to assess the car. The service department conducted checks on the brakes and suspension, performing a full-circle inspection. Their report stated, "Could not find any evidence to support the customer's claim." The service advisor expressed disbelief in the issue I described, stating he had not heard of such problems before. Contrary to the service advisor's disbelief, records on NHTSA.gov reveal numerous instances of sudden unintended acceleration while pushing on brakes for Mazda CX cars (CX5, CX30, CX50). These instances have occurred and have been reported nationally/across numerous states in the USA. I am urging Mazda to thoroughly investigate all reported complaints, issue recalls for affected cars, and enhance their safety features. As of now, there have been no reported fatalities, and it is crucial for Mazda to take proactive measures in investigating and addressing our claims to prevent any potential harm caused by errors in the ActiveSense system. The contact owns a 2021 Mazda CX-30. The contact stated that while the contact's wife was driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that the vehicle decelerated to 20 MPH. The contact's wife drove the vehicle to a safe location and parked the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, but the mechanic was unable to duplicate the failure. The contact stated that the independent mechanic reset the codes and the vehicle operated as intended; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the battery needed to be replaced. The battery was replaced but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed MAP sensor. The contact was informed that the MAP sensor needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained with the dealer for nineteen days and the MAP sensor was replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed with needing a software update. The vehicle was at the dealer for another 34 days and the software update was completed and the PCM was replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The contact stated that the failure had been persistent. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 36,500.

Engine is burning an excessive amount of oil. After numerous times to the dealership Mazda has finally okay the "fix" to be done to the car. What this "fix" is I do not know.

- #11555773November 18, 2023SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
The accident occurred on the afternoon of Tuesday, November 14, which I reported to Enterprise, City of Falls Church, on the morning of November 15. Additionally, I provided to Enterprise email links to the many reports about breaking problems about the CX30 2021, 2022, and 2023 MAZA models and the reasons for their recall for repair. Here are the details about what happened. As I was trying to put the car in reverse from a standing position, the car, instead, lurched forward at great speed headed toward the Sun Trust bank. I had to use super-human strength to the brake pedal on the car to force it into a standing position. The damage to the car is due to scrapping some bark off one of the trees that separates the Sun Trust Bank property from the CapitalOne bank property where my car was parked.

I have noticed the windshield is distorted and from reports all over the Internet that seems to be an issue with 20-22 mazda cx-30’s and I don’t think Mazda is going to replace it. It causes me to get fatigued, and a little dizzy at times during long distance driving.

Low oil indicator came on after only1,800 miles since an oil change, I added a quart of oil and then the light came on again after only 1,000 miles. Asked the service department at the dealership and they said there was an issue with the oil and the turbo system and that it would be a three day repair. I was advised in the meantime to take a couple of extra quarts of oil if I was going to doing any traveling this summer.

- #11543303September 7, 2023VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Adaptive cruise control on at 70mph, speeding car pulls into my lane with no gap (completely cut me off), hard brake by computer, I did not tap the brake to take it off of cruise, car that had cut me off zigs into another lane while adaptive cruise control has car at about 40 mph due to hard brake. As car in front pulls out of the lane, adaptive cruise control guns the engine to 3500-4000 rpm since there was no obstruction in front of it anymore and it wanted to go back to the 70 mph preset. During this incident the Engine Malfunction light comes on, warning to get car serviced. Upon taking it in for service they found that the thermostat needed to be replaced? This seems unlikely. Car has only 15k miles on it. I have another model Mazda and the adaptive cruise control has gunned it in a similar manner, taking the car well past 3000 rpm. Mazda needs to reprogram.

Low engine oil level since I bought it in September 2021. I’ve had it at the dealer three times and they’ve said there are no codes on the car but they are on my Mazda app. They want me to drive it over a hour away with low oil to prove to them that the engine oil is low. I did this, shut the car off, the light went off and when the engine oil level was checked it read one quart low.

Immediately after leasing my vehicle (2023 Mazda CX 30 Turbo) & leaving the dealer (no test drive), I noticed the windshield had a distorted view to it with a wavy/orange peel look covering the entire windshield. When looking at the cars in front of you, road signs, road lines, buildings they all had a orange peel/wavy distorted look to them. After 20 minutes of driving it starts to make you feel dizzy, sick, distorts vision & is very annoying. I went online & found a TSB from Mazda for the 20-22 models for the same problem. I reported my windshield to the dealership who verified, took photos & replaced the windshield through Mazda warranty. HOWEVER, the second windshield is worse than the first. The dealer really didn't know what to say so I have given up. The car is brand new and the driving back & forth to the dealer (in another city) in the first month has put way too many miles & took a lot of time (I was there 3 weekends in August for this issue). I did more investigating & have found many Mazda CX 30 Turbo owners with the exact same complaint, some have had the windshield replaced multiple times & still have the same issue (which is why I don't want to go through the aggravation of getting another one done just to end up with the same/worse situation like I'm in now with the new one). A quick google search & you will find many complaints. There is obviously something wrong with the glass Mazda is using for the CX 30 models. I had a CX 5 loaner from the dealer & it was fine. I now only drive my new car basically to work & home. 20 minutes in and you start to feel dizzy, which is not a good feeling. I hope someone can look into this further so I & other CX 30 owners can get a permanent solution for this or the next 3 years are going to be miserable. The car is brand new & I hate driving it.

I would like to report that I am not feeling safe driving my 2021 MAZDA CX-30 Premium anymore. My vehicle is affected by the MAZDA Technical Service Bulletin 01-003/23,. Subject: ENGINE OIL LEVEL WARNING LIGHT ON WITH DTC P250f:00 DUE TO LOW ENGINE OIL LEVEL This is a known issue by MAZDA! It results in an oil consumption increase due to damage of the valve seals on the exhaust side. The first time the Engine warning light with the message "Engine Oil Level Low" was displayed on May 20, 2023. the earliest appointment to get this issue diagnoised and repaired was on 06/30/2023 at the MAZDA dealer in Augusta, ME. They diagnosed the issue but were not able to repair it, since they don't have the required level of technician as outlined in TSB 01-003/23. I then had to reach out to another MAZDA dealer, Thompson Mazda in Waterville, ME. They ignored my complaint over the phone, not accepting that this issue was already corectly diagnosed by the other MAZDA dealer in Augusta, ME. I contacted MAZDA of North America Customer Relations but didn't get any support so far. They told me the earliest date to get the vehicle diagnoesed and possibly repaired would be end of September. I told them that this is unacceptable and I don't feel safe driving the vehicle with this known issue.
