SUSPENSION
On the highway, at Highway speeds of 70 mph, going over small bump my jeep goes into a death wobble. Both tires bouncing erratically steering wheel racing back-and-forth. To stop the death wobble I Have to let off the gas and slowly break to a complete stop before the death wobble stops. The frustrating part is, the Jeep Wrangler, is only five years old, and it has never been off-road, and has less than 28,000 miles on it, not to mention how dangerous the situation is. I have had this happen 6 times.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the engine overheated, and the vehicle was driving sluggishly with the temperature gauge indicating that the engine was overheating. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who determined that the coolant reservoir was cracked and was leaking coolant. The coolant reservoir was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to immediately start due to battery failure. No further information was available. The local dealer was notified of the failures, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was 56,700.

When using electric mode, repeatedly and consistently, when I try to accelerate (for example to get onto a highway) despite having the acceleration fully depressed, the car does not accelerate. After some time, the gas powered engine will rev, the RPM will shoot up and then the car will start to accelerate. If I slow down the electric engine will take back over, but then if I try to accelerate again the same thing will occur. I have videos of the dashboard confirming electric mode, delay to accelerate and eventual activation of the gas motor and RPMs. This same issue was noted by Jeep technicians after the fix for a previous recall on the battery. This is dangerous, If I am not able to accelerate I can not safely drive change lanes, go onto highways, or avoid danger. it has been occurring, but my first video is from Feb 2026, and most recently July 2026.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
After dealer recall 21D inspection on 7/30/2026 I have experienced 2 electrical failures in the recall system, and/or systems associated with recall. The first incident on 7/31/2026 at approximately 9:00 PM my wife, 2 kids, and a neighbors kid were at a stop light for a 4 lane road when the Jeep unexpectedly made a popping sound and shut down. When I arrived I pushed the vehicle into a parking lot and attempted to restart. I was able to restart the vehicle but instantly started seeing multiple warnings including Service Power Steering (code associated with the recall), Throttle body warning, and Warning that the vehicle would shutdown for safety. After the vehicle shutdown the electrical system went crazy (gauge cluster lights flashing, windshield wipers turned off and on, relays clicking). I had the vehicle taken to my mechanic on 8/6/2026 where they determined that the AUX battery was bad (previously replaced in 05/2026) AND the main fuse array fuse N3 was blown. The mechanic replaced both components, tested the vehicle, and rechecked for any new error codes. On 8/11/2026 my wife and 2 kids attempted to leave soccer practice and the Jeep would not start. I brought them home and returned to the Jeep. As it was near closing time for most auto parts retailers I decided to start by having the main battery tested. When I opened the hood to remove the battery I noticed that the engine compartment seemed abnormally hot. I removed the battery and had it tested by AutoZone (failed-only 6 CCA). I purchased a new battery and when I installed I still noticed an abnormally high temperature in the engine compartment. After installing the new battery the Jeep started & instantly displayed a power steering warning. I shut the vehicle down and let it rest approximately 30min. When restarted a low voltage warning displayed immediately. I returned the next day to a dead Jeep. I returned the Jeep to the dealership that inspected for 21D. (Aux batt. bad & main fuse array blown AGAIN)

Acceleration lag: either bucking or temporary loss of motive power when attempting to pull into traffic has almost caused us to be hit several times. We had the problem almost immediately after purchase, but the lag was short and the Jeep would leap forward and back tires would squeal which caused the back tires to wear quickly compared to front. The bucking and loss of power while accelerating became dangerous after I took to the dealership in Feb 2026 when they also did recall 68C related to the battery. We stopped charging it completely and still had the issue. Took back to the dealership in March 2026 and they said they could not replicate issue. Tried to schedule an appt last week and they never got back to me. We have avoided several accidents so far but I am now afraid to drive it. Assuming these are unrelated but just in case: at 10k miles the check engine light came on, and I couldn’t add ANY fuel (automatic shut off happened immediately) and the fuel cap wouldn’t open. Foss Motors wrote: "CHECKED FOR CODES IN SYSTEM. VEHICLE HAD CODES P2451 FUEL TANK ISOATION VALVE A STUCK, PO4EC EVAP SYSTEM LARGE LEAK DETECTED AND P04EE EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK DETECTED. PERFORMED EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK VERIFICATION TEST. TEST EVAP SYSTEM AND FOUND ISOLATION VALVE STICKING. COMPLETED REPLACEMENT OF ISOLATION VALVE. Replaced fuel filler tube 68413327AD and 68412848AC fuel cap." In Sept 2025 (~45k miles) - Check engine light came on again soon after with errors: PO4EC EVAP SYSTEM LARGE LEAK DETECTED and P04EE EVAP SYSTEM SMALL LEAK DETECTED. They could not find leak or issue.

Our Jeep has a death wobble that has almost caused me to have three wrecks where it is taking me out of my lane of travel and put me in Lanes where other people are had to get to the side of the road and try to get it to stop wobbling it. Every time I hit a pothole or a bump it throws me into a death wobble. I'm worried that this might cause me to get into an accident or cause me to die this happens every time I drive it. I cannot go above 40 mph without causing a death wobble so now I have no use of my Jeep. It just sits

ENGINE
The harmonic balancer on the motor failed and flew off the motor causing catastrophic damage to the radiator. The failure resulted in immediate disabling of the vehicle, which could have happened at high speeds or on a highway with limited access. The part that flew off the motor was also a large piece of solid metal that luckily landed in the bumper cavity, but if it would have left the engine compartment, would most certainly be a fatal projectile. Once taking it to the dealership, they told me that this is a known problem with the Hemi 392 motor. Research shows this has been an issue since 2003 with this motor. The motor is found in several different Stellantis vehicles. There were no warning signs of the failure prior to it occurring.

I am writing to express my concern regarding the handling of the urgent safety recall affecting my Jeep Wrangler. This recall has been classified as an urgent fire and safety risk, yet no remedy is currently available. The recall notice stated that owners would receive notification regarding the remedy by July 9. As of today, August 4, I have not received any follow-up communication, and the NHTSA website continues to list the recall as unresolved with no available repair. I find it deeply concerning that a recall deemed urgent due to the potential risk of fire has remained without a remedy for approximately two months. Owners are expected to continue operating vehicles that have been identified as posing a serious safety hazard while having no meaningful way to mitigate that risk. This places consumers in an unreasonable position, especially those who rely on their vehicles for work and daily transportation. I respectfully request that NHTSA review whether the manufacturer is complying with its obligations under federal motor vehicle safety recall requirements. Given the severity of the identified risk, I also ask that NHTSA determine whether additional oversight or enforcement is warranted to ensure affected owners receive a timely remedy. Additionally, I ask NHTSA to consider whether the manufacturer should provide interim accommodations, such as loaner vehicles or rental reimbursement, while a permanent remedy remains unavailable. I respectfully request that this matter be escalated and that I receive an explanation for the continued delay, an estimated timeline for when a remedy will be available, and guidance for owners who are left with no practical way to address this known safety hazard. 2021 jeep wrangler 4xe unlimited rubicon. Death wobble steering stabilizer has been replaced. 4 Alignments in a week . Was told that it was my tires nope not the case . I can’t not drive my jeep at all . Now the transfer case is leaking the track bar that I told the mechanics it needed to be replaced . The mechanic at John jones told me not to bring it back because I was not a mechanic to find someone else .ive had it sense oct2025 and put not even a thousand miles on it . Lemon laws do exist jeep needs to make it write. I’ve almost went into on coming traffic 3 times in the last week . The 4xe needs recalled before someone gets killed or kills someone ..

The contact owned a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving on the highway at 45 MPH, the instrument panel cluster went out and the vehicle experienced a slight loss of automotive power, and the front headlights failed, the contact was then involved in a head on collision, where the front passenger side was impacted. The vehicle came to a stop upon impact. The air bags were deployed. The vehicle was towed to a junk yard. A police report was filed. The vehicle was destroyed. The contact was seated in the passenger seat while her husband was seated in the driver seat. No individuals outside of the vehicle were reported to be injured. The contact stated that her husband had sustained injuries to his knees, neck, and back, the contact has sustained injuries to their neck and shards of glass in her face. Medical treatment was needed for the injuries. The impact of the crash was the front passenger side. The local dealer was not contacted, and the vehicle was not diagnosed. The manufacture was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 60,000

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Follow-up to complaint 11749455, same vehicle (2021 Jeep Wrangler EcoDiesel, approx. 98,300 miles). Following recall 01A (high-pressure fuel pump replacement), a diesel fuel leak was discovered at a fuel supply component by the servicing dealership. That fuel injector supply line was replaced on 07/23/2026, which I paid for under protest. Within approximately one mile of leaving the dealership, the vehicle began leaking diesel fuel heavily and was returned the same day. The dealership then identified injector O-rings as the source and replaced them; after that repair, fuel injector #1 is now leaking. This is the third distinct fuel-system leak repair on this vehicle following recall-related service, and none has resolved the condition. The vehicle was released to me in a leaking, unsafe condition after a paid repair that did not fix the leak. The failed components have been confirmed and worked on by the dealership and are available for inspection. Concern: repeated diesel fuel leaks in the engine compartment present a fire and roadway hazard, and recall-related fuel system repairs have not reliably resolved the problem.

No warning lights were illuminated. The contact parked the vehicle and while inspecting the vehicle, the contact saw smoke coming from underneath the vehicle. The contact became aware of fire underneath the vehicle. The Fire Department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. There were no injuries sustained. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V363000 (Steering). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 22,890.

Component: I was driving my jeep on XXX and the power steering went out. Because this is electric over hydraulic, I couldn't even muscle the steering wheel. No lights illuminated on the dash and I don't believe the computer stored any codes. The power steering was out for less than 20 seconds. Safety risk: I almost crashed my car due to this issue and that's a safety risk to myself and others. I looked up active recalls and found NHTSA recall 26V-363. I called the dealership Casey's CDJR of [XXX]. They told me over the phone that yes, the power steering issue I experienced could be due to the active recall. The dealership visually inspected the recalled part and said it was fine and my vehicle doesn't qualify to get new parts. They then stated that if I wanted them to look into a power steering issue, it would cost me $149.95 per hour. Steering wiring harness supposedly catches fire. They do not have a remedy available. Over a million owners on hold. It's been over thirty days since they relased that information. Mailed out notices on the 9th they say. Have yet to receive it. I live in a towhome, and parking it outside but still near neighbors and the adjacent units. Not safe when driving to work, not safe ever. It's a literal death risk. This is ridiculous and criminal on so many levels. Its has not been inspected as it needs the recall regardless. The recall they can not produce. No warning, no signs. A ticking time bomb putting million of Americans at risk. Needs to be intervention.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V363000 (Steering); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted several times and informed that the earliest availability for a vehicle inspection was August 4, 2026, and the vehicle could possibly be repaired in September. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and was assisting the contact in locating dealers who had earlier availability and parts available. The contact had not experienced a failure.

While driving from [XXX] to [XXX], the vehicle experienced two sudden loss-of-propulsion events at highway speed. During the first incident in downtown [XXX], cruise control disengaged, the transmission abruptly downshifted, and the accelerator became largely unresponsive. The vehicle rapidly lost speed in traffic, and another vehicle nearly rear-ended me because I could not maintain speed or accelerate. The engine remained running, but the vehicle appeared to enter reduced-power or limp mode. I pulled over, shut the vehicle off, and restarted it. Normal throttle operation temporarily returned. The check-engine light and “Stop/Start Not Available” warning remained illuminated. After approximately three hours of otherwise normal driving, I activated cruise control again. The same condition immediately returned: cruise disengaged, the transmission downshifted, throttle response was lost, and the vehicle rapidly decelerated. Restarting again restored normal operation. This unexpected loss of propulsion created a serious collision risk because the vehicle abruptly slowed in moving highway traffic without allowing me to accelerate out of danger. The problem appears directly associated with cruise-control activation, although the exact mechanical or electronic cause is unknown. The vehicle has approximately 40,300 miles, was purchased as Jeep Certified Pre-Owned, and had a new OEM battery installed by an authorized Jeep dealership shortly after purchase. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate similar reports involving sudden throttle loss, abrupt downshifting, reduced-power operation, or loss of propulsion at highway speeds. Subject: Safety Complaint – 2021 Jeep Wrangler 2.0L Fuel Pump Failure (Loss of power while driving.) I am filing this complaint regarding a 2021 Jeep Wrangler equipped with the 2.0L engine due to what I believe is a significant safety issue involving the fuel pump. The fuel pump has failed, making the vehicle unsafe and/or inoperable. A sudden fuel pump failure can cause the engine to lose power or stall without warning, creating a serious safety hazard, especially when driving at highway speeds, in heavy traffic, or while crossing intersections. A loss of engine power in these situations places both the driver and surrounding motorists at risk of a crash. What is equally concerning is that the replacement fuel pump is currently on a national backorder, with my dealership estimating approximately 45 days or longer before the part will be available. This suggests that many owners may be experiencing the same problem and that replacement parts cannot keep up with demand. As a result, my vehicle is unusable while I wait for a critical safety-related component. This creates a significant financial and personal hardship, including transportation difficulties, missed work, and additional expenses. A safety-related component should not be unavailable for such an extended period if this issue is affecting numerous vehicles. I respectfully request that NHTSA investigate whether fuel pump failures in the 2021 Jeep Wrangler 2.0L represent a widespread safety defect. If a pattern is identified, I urge NHTSA to require Stellantis to issue a recall or other appropriate corrective action to protect vehicle owners and the public.
