I was driving down the highway around 60 miles an hour and the engine shut off. There was a flashing light on the dash telling me to safely put the car in Park. I had no acceleration and had to get across three lanes coasting until I could safely stop. A light also flashed showing a picture of the plug-in and said something about lack of performance. I cannot remember the exact wording. Once I got to the side of the road, I put the car in park and turned the car off, then turned it back on and was able to drive away. I did notice when I got to the side of the road that the D was flashing on my gearshift. i’ve called the dealership and I’ll be taking it in tomorrow, but they advised they haven’t had this situation before. But someone advise me about a recall on 2021 through 2023 4 xe’s but my vin number isn’t part of the recall. This happened during rush-hour traffic and I had my five year old son in the car. Needless to say we were both very scared. I am nervous to even drive it now.

We noticed on 6/24/2023 a small crack and few other minor cracks and a paint chip appeared out of nowhere on the fiber-glass/composite hard roof top at the driver side rear edge above the gas tank of my Jeep Wrangler 2023 that I bought from your dealership. My vehicle details are as follows: Make: Jeep Model Wrangler Sahara 4X4e Year: 2023 Color: White VIN #: [XXX] Purchase Date: 05-14-2023 Condition: Brand New I have consulted with AAA insurance and the “Classic Collision of Chatsworth” and Platinum Plus Warranty Plan and the insurance services and they all say that this particular crack and paint chip on the vehicle is not from any impact but mainly due to the manufacturing defect where the fiberglass is uneven (or air bubble in it) and defective, screws tightened too much and also clearly has tool marks and signs of excessive use of force that caused a big crack on the edge from inside and that is now propagating and spreading and showing paint chip and cracks on the outside of the removable rooftop/camper above the gas tank. This is the first time I opened the back trunk and saw this. Filed a manufacturer warranty claim at the dealership on 6/26/2023. Jeep denied the claim. I find this situation unacceptable as the fiberglass hard-top is cracking and falling apart and the crack is widening as we drive the vehicle. I need help as both the dealership and the manufacturer are not fixing the manufacturing defect and are using delaying tactics. - #11530457July 5, 2023VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, ENGINE
I was driving on the highway and as the electric engine ran out of power (it is a plug-in hybrid), the car failed to switch to the gasoline engine. There were warning lights that flashed and the "D" on the gear shifter was flashing. Power steering still worked, but could not accelerate. I was in the far right lane and was able to coast into the breakdown lane where I turned the car off, waited a few second and turned it back on and it was running on the gas engine. I took it to the dealer the next day and they said they tried to recreate it, but the electric engine had not been drained, so I don't believe they had.

- #11529801June 30, 2023PARKING BRAKE, SERVICE BRAKES, STEERING
The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the steering wheel locked, causing him to momentarily lose control of the vehicle. Upon attempting to bring the vehicle to a stop, the contact stated that the brake pedal was stuck in its resting position, prompting him to pull the parking brake, which also failed to bring the vehicle to a stop. As a result, the contact stated that he collided with the vehicle ahead. An unknown warning light was illuminated on the instrument panel prior to the failure being experienced. The air bags did deploy. A police report was filed, and no injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence and later towed to the dealer, who declined to diagnose the vehicle due to the body damage. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 10,000.

- #11529740June 30, 2023ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, STEERING
Earlier this year vehicle would sometimes do the following, not at start up but when driving; Wipers on by themselves & driver can't shut off, turn signals inop, Both sides blind spot warning continously on alerting driver every time a vehicle on either side is passed or passes vehicle, anywhere from three to five dash warning lights illuminated. Took to dealer in April 2023 & diagnosed a bad can bus connector. Replaced connector (approx $700). Seemed to be the fix until it started again June 2023. This time all the above issues started up again including loss of power steering. I was on I70 at highway speeds in rush hour traffic and it was very dangerous. Returned to dealer yesterday 6/29/23 Immediately following loss of power steering while vehicle was displaying faults & they read codes. They are booked for 2 weeks so I'm scheduled to drop it off 7/10/2023. Dealer has been fine to work with and willing to help. My chief complaint is I have found numerous others that this is happening to (internet Wrangler JL forum) & I feel like car mfg knows about this and is not doing anything about it.

On June 17 I was driving on the highway in Tupelo,MS with my sister and three children. I was going about 80 mph when the entire engine shut down spontaneously. The dash lights said plug into a power outlet. I was driving in hybrid mode with a half tank of gas. I briefly lost control of the car because it was such a powerful jolt when it shut down. I was able to pull over to shoulder of the highway, completely terrified and shifted the jeep into park. The warning lights were telling me to put in park and press the start button. I followed the instructions and the jeep engine started and the warning lights turned off. I have contacted Chrysler to file a complaint as well as the dealership. I am afraid the drive my vehicle on the highway for fear of having a major accident

Jeep clutch started slipping. Startig smelling a burning smell. Took it to the dealership. Service tech took it down the road to see for himself. While he was driving it he noticed debris on the road in the rearview and realized it was coming from the jeep. He pulled over and the hood was red hot. The jeep then caught on fire and burnt up! Total loss. The jeep only had 28000 miles on it and still under warranty.

Clutch is getting hot Warning screens says to stop using clutch. It’s a manual transmission can’t really do that and drive it. My jeep should have never been made. Special ordered in September 2022 cause I was told they had recall problem fixed in 23 models. I recieved jeep February 10 2023, March 2 the added 2023 models made up to February 2023 to recall and halted all manual transmission to be made. I feel like jeep lied to me and should have never taken my order even ! I traded a 2022 jeep wrangler that nothing was wrong with cause we wanted manual transmission and then find out the clutch’s are under recall. Dealer won’t do anything and jeep is not helping

I took my 2022 Jeep Wrangler 4XE Unlimited into the dealership for the recall to be fixed and oil/filter change with tire rotation. I drove my vehicle to the dealer and after being there for 3.5 hours I am informed my vehicle no longer starts/turns over. I have a loaner vehicle with no solution in sight. Upon reading other 4XE owners statements that had the same issue. Upon resetting the software they have multiple trips with the same issue of the engine stalling. I DO NOT want my children in a vehicle that is NOT running properly. This will put others in danger as well, if my engine fails going down the interstate, it can cause a wreck.

Car experiences what is called a "death wobble" when it goes over a small bump in the road. The steering wheel shakes uncontrollably. Happens when traveling between 40 and 50 mph. I loose complete control of the vehicle. I've taken the car to two experts who both confirmed the problem which started without warning or symptoms about mid May 2023.
