Flash: Powertrain Control Module (PCM) Updates This bulletin involves reprogramming the PCM with the latest available software. Customers may experience a Malfunction Indicator Lamp (MIL) illumination. Upon further investigation the technician may find that one or more of the following Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) have been set: P0300-00 - Multiple Cylinder Misfire. P0301-00 - Cylinder 1 Misfire. P0302-00 - Cylinder 2 Misfire. P0303-00 - Cylinder 3 Misfire. P0304-00 - Cylinder 4 Misfire. U0402-00 - Invalid Data Received From TCM. P1DD2-00 - Torque Request Signal From TCM Denied. U1424-00 - Implausible Engine Torque Signal Received. Customers may experience excessive oil consumption between oil change intervals.In addition, the following software enhancement is available:Multiair solenoid electrical opening change to resolve idle tick/tap issue.

Menu bar at the bottom of the radio display is frozen (LA, LD and LX with UAQ and UAS radios). Can not change the time on the clock (LA, LD and LX with UAS radios). Anti-theft code request message. Backup camera screen is blank. Lines appear across screen. Radio control screen is blank or locked. Radio resets intermittently. Unable to adjust volume. Radio will not switch modes between AM, FM, SAT or Media. In addition, the following enhancements are included in this update:Carplay® connectivity improvements. Improvement to Bluetooth phone pairing. Improved sound quality when using a Bluetooth phone.

SEAL, Input If looking to replace stubshaft due to ATX fluid leaking, do not replace PTU seals. None of the seals from the PTU side will need to be replaced whenever the ATX stubshaft is replaced, even though V-seal (68408748A$) is in direct contact with the stubshaft, it will not avoid grease/oil leakage from transmission side. PTU V-seals are intended to act as a dust cover for stubshaft - PTU input shaft spline interface. PTU Input shaft seal (68408749A$) is intended to hold PTU oil and debris ingress; it should be replaced only if the fluid leakage is confirmed to be PTU oil and not ATX trans. fluid.

Customers may notice after locking the car, two horn chirps are heard, under normal operation only one horn chirp is heard. Upon further investigation the technician may find the following Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC): U1413-09 - UAM (Ultrasonic and Antitilt Module) - Component Failures. Vehicles with Premium Security Alarm (Sales Code LSC) In addition, the customer may notice one or more of the following: Rear windows are inoperative and will not roll down. Brake lights will intermittently remain on. Intermittently, unable to turn on high beam headlights.
