My 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer has experienced recurring electrical/electronic failures since shortly after purchase on August 5, 2023. I first reported an electronic issue to Stellantis September 5, 2023. Problems began under warranty and continued despite software updates, module reprogramming, and replacement of an internally failed radio. Reported problems include: • Intermittent backup-camera failures • False obstacle detection and repeated/constant parking-sensor alarms • Service Electronic Stability Control warnings • Recurring 4WD/drivetrain warnings and problems • Transfer-case shift-motor electrical connection requiring repair • Quadra-Lift failing to consistently raise/lower correctly, delayed ride-height changes, and uneven vehicle height • Suspension/rubbing noises during turns • Repeated no-start incidents, battery failure, and jump-starts • Daily/near-daily electronic glitches, infotainment freezing, and system messages On May 27, 2026, the vehicle became completely unusable. It has remained at an authorized Jeep dealership since June 8. The dealership measured an approximately 880 mA parasitic battery draw. A Power Liftgate Module update reduced it to 350 mA. Further diagnosis identified a LIN-bus fault, water in the left rear taillight, and connector corrosion. Isolating that area reportedly reduced the draw to 17–20 mA. After months of OEM-part backorder, the dealership fabricated and installed a harness/connector and reports the draw is resolved. I did not authorize this as a permanent solution. Stellantis stated in writing that a workaround outside the warrantable repair process would be temporary and not covered under warranty. Repair records do not capture the full extent or frequency of reported intermittent/recurring failures. I request NHTSA review the electrical, camera/sensor, stability-control/4WD, and suspension failures for potential safety defects.

I had to call the fire department because my the auxiliary battery in my Jeep had overheated creating a sulfur-like smell in my garage and eventually into my home. The fire dept recorded the aux battery temp over 200 degrees and the main battery was almost 150 degrees after sitting idle in the garage for over 5 hours and had only drove twice that day for no more than 20 minutes each time. I purchased the vehicle in May of 2023, I believe in Oct of 2023 the dealership had to replace the aux battery, now Aug of 2026 the aux battery failed again overheating and causing the main battery to swell and fail. The dealership was horrible about diagnosing the issue with no real answer and telling me that there is a software update in the works however; I have a friend in the business (works for Stellantis) who tells me that the automaker IS AWARE of these failing aux batteries due to them not shutting off. This known issue puts families at risk of fire and explosion. I do not feel anyone is taking this seriously. The dealership forced me to buy two new batteries, gave no reason why, and basically sent me on my way. I would like to know that someone is going to call on the automaker for a fix so that both my family and others, will not have to worry about having a dangerous vehicle parked in their garage.

My 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, VIN [XXX], has had repeated electrical, battery, power-loss, recall, and passenger-seat safety concerns. The vehicle was serviced for ongoing battery/electrical issues and remained at South Hills Dodge for approximately one month. During that time, I was told no loaner vehicles were available, leaving me without transportation. When the vehicle was returned on XXX, the front passenger seat was no longer operable, although it worked properly before service. I returned the vehicle the same day and was told the part would be ordered. I asked if the vehicle was safe to drive because the passenger seat was making unusual noises and sounded like it could fail further. I was told it was safe to drive. On XXX, the vehicle was towed back to South Hills Dodge because it was losing power. I contacted the parts department to check on the passenger-seat part and was told no order was in the system. I was later told the part was only then being ordered, although I had previously been told it would be ordered after the XXX visit. On XXX, I received a voicemail stating the vehicle was ready for pickup and that the power-loss issue had been addressed. However, the passenger-seat issue was still not repaired, and I was told the vehicle would need to be returned once the part arrived. The vehicle was later returned on or about XXX, with the understanding that the passenger-seat issue had been repaired. Several weeks later, a passenger noticed the seat had not actually been fixed. I returned the vehicle again, but the dealership returned it stating they still did not have the part. Around XXX the dealership was supposed to contact me once the part arrived and provide a loaner. As of XXX, I have not heard back. The vehicle also still has unresolved recalls. I am concerned the vehicle has unresolved electrical, power-loss, recall, and passenger-seat defects that may affect safe INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

While starting to turn through an intersection after a red light the vehicle stalled in the center of said intersection. After turning the vehicle fully off and restarting the dash lights for a steering malfunction illuminated. The vehicle was difficult to steer but was drivable. After several on of cycles the steering was easier. We made an appointment and took it to the dealer. The dealer found the steering rack to have an "internal" fault and was unsafe to drive. The vehicle died in the center of a busy intersection. We could have been hit because the turn lest arrow ended and oncoming cars had the green light. We got the vehicle back about 9 weeks later. The steering rack had been replaced but the dealer had found corroded and charred wires to the fuel pump which also had to be repaired. The next evening with the adaptive cruise/Lane guidance set the steering system became erratic and the vehicle started trying to turn into oncoming traffic. I turned the cruise off and continued to drive about 1 mile where I was stopped at a red light. The green left turn arrow illuminated so I started through the intersection and the vehicle died in the oncoming lane. I had to turn the vehicle totally off and restart it in order to proceed. Once moving there were 2 steering system warning lights illuminated on the dash. I cautiously returned home then made an appointment to return the vehicle to the dealer. The warning lights went out but the dealer found multiple codes in the ECU. They had the vehicle for a while, said they reprogrammed the modules that control the steering after which the symptoms could not be duplicated. We have the vehicle and several issues still persist. I called today for another service appointment. The vehicle has an odd steering twitch in tight turns especially in parking lots or driveways. Steering effort is noticeably higher and doesn't return to on center position without input. The steering wheel is not centered during straight driving.
