Several times a day when I drive over un-even pavement the front end, wheels, & steering wheel start violently shaking and become uncontrollable to the point other vehicles move out of the way. It will only stop when speed is lowered low 5 mph. This has happened between 25-40 mph. Too afraid to drive at highway speeds. This vehicle is a 2021 with only 12,800 miles on it. Very scary situation to be in, especially for a vehicle I bought new and have never taken off road.

Every time I fill up with gas it splashes up and over quite a bit. I have tried many different ways to get it to stop splashing. Slowed down the flow, changed positions of the tube. Slowed down the flow to try and not let it splash up towards the end of the fill. As soon as it gets close, it splashes over, on my fender, and about a 1 foot gas spot on the ground every time. I have not been to the dealer yet, I have decided to report this online, to see if anyone else has, and I feel this is a safety and hazard issue to the environment.

Purchased new in 2023....vehicle soon started making a "hissing" sound from steering area normally upon first morning startup. The vehicle would then go forward or in reverse when I attempted to come out of "park" but had not released brake yet. brought to dealer for repair 2/26/24 at 6162 miles. dealer replaced vacuum pump as cause of concern. the issue seemed resolved for maybe less than two weeks. same issue returned. The safety concern is that the vehicle should not move with the brake pedal pressed and this issue is allowing the vehicle to move. the brakes have to be pumped several times to get them to work when the issue arises. vehicle is currently back at the dealer since 3/28/24 trying to replicate the issue to resolve since no DTC's are coming up.

At speeds of 45-70mph the Jeep randomly begins a violent shaking of the steering wheel/tires/suspension components. The Jeep is completely stock and the tires have been rotated and rebalanced which did not assist in resolving the issue.

Went, to start the Jeep. No power to anything, dead. Waited a bit tried again nothing. Called Jeep and they sent a wrecker out. he tried to jump nothing. ended up towing to the dealer. They found no issue. Then Jeep sent this letter to me after a few conversations. They must have a problem they do not want to fix.

The contact owns a 2021 Jeep Gladiator. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving approximately 70 MPH, the front end of the vehicle and the steering wheel began shaking violently. The contact stated that the brake pedal was depressed, and the shaking gradually disappeared. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a complaint was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.5 The contact stated on April 8, 2024 there was another severe front "end wobble”, this following after the dealership replacing major steering components under warranty.

I took delivery of my 2021 Jeep Gladiator on 10/29/20. I brought the vehicle in on 12/29/22 for service (Webber Family Motor, Detroit Lakes, MN). The driver's door lock switch was inoperable. I could not lock, unlock the vehicle either with the FOB or with the key. This means that I was unable to lock my vehicle from the driver's side when leaving the vehicle AND I was unable to lock the vehicle using the switch on the driver's door panel (from the inside). This is a safety concern for a lone female. Webber Family Motor found Circuit G161 broken in the boot harness. They replaced the wire and retested. The vehicle passed. The charge out of pocket to me was $201.74. On 01/19/24, I again took the vehicle to Webber Family Motor for the same issue. They took the door panel off and found that "someone" had taped the boot harness. This someone was them in 2022. They want to charge $600 for replacement of the boot harness. My safety is at risk because I work nights and am unable to get into my vehicle and lock the door from inside. This issue has happened twice

Driving on the freeway at freeway speed. Hit a bridge transition point and the front end started to shake uncontrollably. I braked and was able to pull to the side. Got out and checked. No visible damage. Took the truck to the dealer. They replaced my steering damper and track bar. The truck only had 6K miles. Again at 20,000 miles the same parts needed to be replaced as the same thing was happening. There has been a class action lawsuit settled on this same model. My vehicle is completely stock. This is a huge safety concern.

This Gladiator had at the time less than 5k miles on it. I went to start the Jeep and there was no power. No lights, not starting nothing. I called the dealer. They would not deal with me without going through JEEP WAVE, Called a tow company to tow to the dealer purchased from. The tow truck driver tried to jump the jeep with his portable system. We did get a few lights, still not starting. When the Jeep was delivered to the dealer the service clerk witnessed the same issues. The jeep was then taken to service and put on its charger and it started. I asked what would have drained the battery, but did not explain why this would have happened. The dealer kept the Jeep for a week. They could not reproduce the issue. Jeep Wave called and offered to pay me a sum of money to forget about this problem. From my research, this is an ongoing issue with the Gladiator and it stems from the Aux Battery. When I ask Jeep and the dealer about it they act as if they have no clue as to what I am talking about. All one has to do is google this problem. There are plenty of people having the same issues.

Persistent burning smell from the manual clutch which has had a recall for over a year. I have contacted jeep multiple times to facilitate a trade for the vehicle as I can't use it for the intended purpose. Can get no response from the dealer or Jeep. Dealer says there is no available repair for the recall and nothing they can do.

I was driving my Jeep Gladiator on [XXX] Shasta Co, CA, on a snowy mountain highway. I had my husband, two children and two dogs in the vehicle. Without warning the power steering went out. Within 20 seconds a steering wheel light appeared on the dash. Within approximately 20 more seconds, I was able to pull over into a plowed turnout. As soon as we stopped the vehicle we noticed a fire in the engine compartment. We were able to extinguish it within a few minutes with our fire extinguisher. The vehicle has approximately 15000 miles on it and is under warranty. It is currently under inspection to determine if it falls under warranty. See video of incident here: [XXX] Additional video is here: [XXX] The incidents happened while driving on the interstate at approximately 70mph. When a normal expansion joint or bump was traversed, the steering wheel would suddenly oscillate continuously, with the degree of the oscillation growing more severe over time. The entire body of the vehicle shook violently. The only way to recover from the severe oscillation was to reduce speed substantially - generally to below 40 mph - or to encounter another bump to upset the oscillation. We took the Gladiator to a local Jeep dealership. They stated they replaced the steering damper and that the manufacturer had updated the part number (the failed damper was the old part number). However, we still feel a looseness in the suspension that we did not feel previously with this vehicle. When traversing bumps at speed, sometimes the oscillation can still be felt, but it is not continuous as shown in the videos. We suspect the steering damper may have been damaged to due another loose or failed component that is still in service on the vehicle. The vehicle is stock and has not been modified previously. - #11572199February 15, 2024AIR BAGS
I had a collision incident with my car and an electric pole that broke in half. The airbag did not deploy at all and liberty mutual had deemed my car totaled after having it evaluated at 2020 Auto Body. I had contacted Jeep to complain about safety in regards to what I think is a defected airbag and they had asked me to send photos of my Jeep after the incident. And without asking how fast I was going and having everything based on the photo, Jeep states they will not do any further investigation because based on the photos the deceleration of my car during the incident was not enough to deploy the air bag. I tried to ask them multiple times to email me an explanation of how they determined that the airbag is not defected based on the photos I sent and have not gotten a response except that the case was closed. They refused to email an explanation and would only want to schedule a phone call to explain. I told them I rather have it email for documentation purposes. I am reporting this airbag deployment incident because of safety concerns. Brand new Jeep gladiator. 458 miles on it and the windshield glass cracked. No rock or external object hit it, simply faulty glass. I went to an online forum and found that windshields cracking on jeep’s is extremely common and Jeep refuses to warranty or do anything about it.

Our 2022 Gladiator has 1,758 miles on it and no modifications. It was last driven about two weeks ago. It burned to the ground [XXX] while parked next to our house. The fire started in the engine compartment. There were no warnings of symptoms and our jeep app showed everything was normal when last driven. It was investigated by the VRFA and I am waiting for their report. Insurance has not yet inspected. We reported it to the dealership we bought it from. On the [XXX] website, there is another 2022 Gladiator, also low mileage, that also burned to the ground while parked. That person's insurance stated that they believe it burned due to a manufacturer defect but there are no recalls. While driving in snowy conditions, snow built up in front of the headlights, blocking them. I had to stop multiple times to sweep the snow out from the socket the headlight is recessed into to get light to project onto thr road. These are the factory LED headlights, which do not produce enough heat to melt the snow, unlike halogen headlights. Not having lights while driving in the snow is scary, as is having to stop in poor conditions on the side of the road. The lights need to be heated or shielded in some way to prevent this from happening.
