In 2 opportunities when I am going over a SPEED BUMP my SUV senses the bump as a possible hazard and stopped the car from 25 to 0 in a fraction of a second. BOTH Times I have had passengers with me. Almost got rear ended this last time. I went to the dealer the first time this happened and they did not give it enough importance and denied to disable it.

Parasitic battery drain affects my 2017 Honda CR-V. If the vehicle is dormant for just a few days, the battery drains completely and requires a jump start. I am on my fourth battery since purchasing the vehicle new in March 2017, and have also had the starter replaced when my garage could not identify the issue. When the battery is completely dead as I described, the key fob will not open the doors, and you must enter the vehicle by using the physical key located inside the fob. All doors must be opened manually, and the trunk liftgate (where one typically keeps jumper cables or battery booster pack) does not function, rendering access to the rear seats and trunk very difficult. When a jump is successful, all of the safety systems reset and warning indicators do not disappear until the car is driven for several minutes. Honda has an electrical problem or is using batteries that are too small for their vehicles. I wouldn’t expect a car that has been sitting for months at a time to start on the first try, but a few days (even a long weekend would be an issue) is unacceptable.

Within 10 days of ownership my 2024 Hybrid CRV Sport Touring AWD broke down in the middle of a busy intersection. I noticed an exceptionally rough idle that permeated through the cabin. When I tried to accelerate, a vile burning smell also came into the cabin like electricity burning metal. The vehicle then died mid acceleration and cars behind me swerved around due to the abrupt stop while every dashboard warning came up including a check engine code. I was able to crawl it to a parking lot and tow it at my expense of course. Upon inspection by the dealer they confirmed it was faulty fuel injectors at just 230 miles on the odometer. They had no clue how or why brand new injectors would give out. My concern here is how it failed. It aggressively cut off power mid acceleration with cars having to dodge my vehicle and the smell of metal burning was a huge concern to me. Had I continued to drive who knows what would have happened. I am writing this so that the NHTSA has this on file to aid in future investigations of similar incidents.

I was driving on [XXX] in Danvers and they grooved the highway for resurfacing. I was doing the speed limit 65mph. When I hit the lip of the road where it returned to normal I heard a sound like something hit my cars glass. I got home and inspected my vehicle and saw no chips or dents. The next night at 5pm I was getting in my car and noticed my moonroof was cracked and damaged. I didn't see anything fly at me . I'm lead to believe when I hit the 2 inch lip my cars body twisted and popped that moonroof. I keep the slider closed or the glass would have rained down on me . I hear they don't use the proper glass on them. The new one says tempered. Just thought I'd share with you INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The fuel injectors caused engine ecm to set codes for missfire and cylinder inbalance. as a result of the car disabled all adas systems such as lane keep lane departure ,forward colision alerts, parking brake, cruise control. 11 different warning messages scrolled across dash.Car was diagnosed at independant import specialist garage as needing fuel injectors. Car has 82,000 miles. Garage told me this was common on hondas and honda had extended warranty on the fuel injectors on v6 cars ,but not on 1.5 4cyl cars. I purchased this car new with expectations of increased safety, however when a part failure shuts these systems down it defeats that purpose. I have driven mutiple cars to 300,000+ miles and never had to replace fuel injectors. just google crv fuel injector problems and you will see i am not the only case of this

My sister was driving on a highway going about 65 mph, and the rear cv axle suddenly snapped. A Honda dealership inspected the vehicle; they determined the root cause to be the rear differential engine loosing power, causing strain on the rear axle. There were no warning that the differential engine lost power.

The following has happened several times before a repair was made: [Car Alarm / Unable to turn on/off car.] Questions: *BCM failure. My car is available for inspection. *Unable to turn off/on vehicle, children inside. *Problem reproduced months earlier, and at dealership (Goodyear(920-458-8306) and Honda International(920-208-0200), both in Sheboygan, WI) *Warning lights and messages only appeared during the issue happening, not prior. Started [XXX] Car alarm goes off during inconsistent times. Then if I try to turn it on, I am unable to turn the car back off: dash lights flicker, relay is clicking several times. IF I am eventually able to turn it off, I can not turn it back on, though it does try to (engine). Same symptoms as above. Eventually it seems to possibly drain the battery, and all the dash lights and relay again flicker, But then the brake pedal pushes back at me when trying to turn it back on (with no engine sound). Battery, On/Off switch, and BCM were replaced to resolve(?) this issue. We will see if this continues. I am seeing MANY others online having the exact same problem. Side note: Touch Screen Infotainment screen went black months prior. pulling fuse and inserting it fixed that issue. Also, I have video, but am unable to upload here. All of my warning lights are on. The above checklist only lets me pick 3 items total but every warning light is on. Brake hold system, power steering, hill start assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation, road departure, electric parking brake, tpm, emission system problem, all wheel drive system. My car has went from driving 70mph on the highway to suddenly going to 10-20 mph! Super dangerous and this has happened 2 times. First time in March 24’ and again May 24’. The reset resolved it briefly but it returned again and again. Now all lights are on and it scares me to drive on the interstate because I don’t know when it will happen again. My safety features do not work on my car when the lights are on. I have had the codes checked and reset 2 times. Codes P0172 & P0303 were a couple codes it shows.

Understand my car is old but I also understand that there was a class action lawsuit I was not informed about regarding the door actuators the door locks on my vehicle I paid $300 plus to replace the front door actuator and now my back door driver side and back door passenger side door actuators are extremely loud and it is difficult to unlock the door if you're on the inside of the vehicle trying to get out it freezes the door locks that's very dangerous I know my car is old but Honda should still have to replace them considering they agreed to replace all four door actuators back in 2015 but I was not informed of that.

Over the past year, I have had an issue with the steering. I have brought the car into the dealership in addition to multiple independently owned mechanic shops to try to get answers. Currently, when turning to the right, to any degree, there is a popping/clicking noise. I have had the driver's side and passenger's side front CV axles replaced in addition to the right inner shaft (stub shaft) replaced without resolution. Additionally, there is a slight "sticking" in the steering wheel when I make fine adjustments to keep the car straight on the roadway, regardless of whether the road is straight or curved. No resolution from Honda as they continue to act as if this is normal even though the car has less than 60k miles.

While driving without any surrounding traffic I have experienced three instances where the collision warning system will be triggered and initiate emergency braking. At this time, I have not had any collisions. However, I have ensured after each incident that my collision settings were set to the lowest sensitivity to prevent such an occurrence. However, that has not been the case and I have not been able to receive any assistance from the dealership in relation to this matter.
