STEERING
The steering wheel sticks when I'm in a gradual turn and doesn't want to return to center. I have to pull it out of the turn. A few times, I've actually veered out of my lane. Sounds like this is a known problem with the worm gear, and the gearbox needs replacing. I have an appointment with my dealer to troubleshoot it. FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
Left parking lot and started driving down the street. The "Brake" light flashed and peep sounded and the car stopped abruptly--a complete stop. There was no one in front of me; there was no reason for the "Brake" light to come on. Thank God no one was behind me as I would have been rear-ended. The car stopped so abruptly that no one would have been able to stop. After I calmed down, I was able to continue on with no further issues. Contacted the dealer Service Department immediately and was told no recall and that the radar had just picked up on something. This made no sense as I was the only one on the street at the time--no one coming toward me and no one behind me. Over the years of owning the car, there have been incidents where the "Brake" light flashed for no obvious reason. However, the car never stopped. I feel fortunate because this could have caused a serious accident. I am very concerned to be behind the wheel of such a vehicle. A recall is definitely warranted and SOON!

FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
This is about NHTSA Recall Number 23V-858. So far nothing had happened to my car, but I don't understand why Honda is being allowed to drag its heels in fixing this problem. They should not be allowed to build new cars until this very important safety problem is remedied. I am afraid to use my car for any trips since I may be stranded at any time or even get into an accident. NHTSA should be pressuring Honda to fix this problem in a timelier manner. So far I have received two letters about the problem and no date as to when my car can be fixed.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
Upon pushing start/stop button, CR-V won't start. It's at random times the issue happens. Battery was replaced in the last 6 months. 9/23. Still having issues. Replaced the actual start/stop push button in the cabin. Still having issues. After taking CR-V to Honda dealership, they were able to reproduce the issue and it was determined the starter needs replaced. This SUV has only 77k miles. If you would like more proof as to why this issue for the 2015 needs to have a recall, I would gladly guide you over to the Honda CR-V owner's club and provide numerous posts of people who have replaced their starter specifically in a 2015 with mileage under 80k. A current coworker is experiencing the same issue on his 2015 CR-V EX as well, also in the 70k mileage range. If the reason couldn't be more obvious as to why this is a safety issue, starter failure would leave people stranded.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On June 30, 2024 and again July 13, 2024, the BRAKE dash light and sound alarm engaged on clear sunny days (~ 11 am (6/30) and 1pm (7/13). The brake did not engage and so I was able to maintain control of the car, but in both cases I was on a major highway at 50-60 mph. I have previously reported an incident about a year ago (NHSTA issue number: 11530134 reported 7/3/2023). Weather conditions were the same (sunny and dry) and about the same time of the day (midday), however I was on a regular city road traveling about 25-30 mph and the BRAKES light, sound and the physical brakes brought the car to such a hard stop that I moved forward fast enough to engage the seatbelt restraint mechanism.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I was driving when I came upon a couple of metal plates on the road. I slowed a bit to go slower across them when my car slammed on the brakes, the brake orange light came on and beeped on the dash. There was a truck behind me that was luckily leaving enough space. I was jolted and everything fell off my passenger seat due to the aggressive sudden braking. If it had happened on a highway or the truck had been closer it would've been horrible.

I was driving back Thorne to Illinois on the highway from Florida vacation. My car shut off and could not continue to accelerate, at this point I’m in Georgia on [XXX] . I pulled over to the shoulder my car would not start. I towed it to Honda and they didn’t find the issue because there were no codes coming up and let us go home. Car turned on next morning and we continued to drive home. Well before we got to Nashville Tennessee the car shut off on the Highway again. We towed it to Honda again in Tennessee this time. We had to catch a ride home because Honda said it was unsafe to drive the car and they kept it to repair it. They said Both fuel pumps were not working and that they were going to order those parts and replace them. And go from there. And now they have called me saying they have replaced the fuel pump but the car is still having the same issues and the engineers says to start replacing thing and to start with the PCM and go from there. Currently the car is still at Honda Tennessee and they’re awaiting to get the PCM delivered to replace it in the car. The contact owns a 2022 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while pulling into a parking spot at 2 MPH, the steering wheel locked while straightening the wheel, and the passenger side rear panel crashed into a cement post. There were no reported injuries, police report, or air bag deployments. While making turns and driving around curves, the steering wheel continued to seize. In addition, the vehicle was jerking. There were no warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 19,005.

STEERING
When driving, the Steering feels like it “sticks” in one position. The problem has been ongoing for about a year and has gotten worse. My vehicle now has 28,294 miles on it but is out of warranty due to time. I had it to the dealership today and was told the part to fix it is the steering rack and is already on back order and cannot predict when it can be repaired at a cost of 3500.00-4000.00. I was told by the service department tech that it is safe to drive, but I don’t think it is as it creates more effort to steer.

Car is parked in front of the house no one has touch the vehicle. The car suddenly started the alarm, had to turn it off. Later on during the day I went to turn the vehicle on and it wont turn off after. I had to search for the fuel pump fuse and remove that to turn off the car.

On [XXX] at approximately 7am, I was driving eastbound on [XXX] in Missouri, just west of Waynesville, MO. Weather was clear, not a lot of traffic. My sunroof glass exploded. There were no cars around me, I had not seen anything fly out from anywhere and hit the sunroof and I don't recall hitting any type of large bump or pothole prior to the glass shattering. The noise it made was very loud; like an explosion. The sunshade was open at the time and the tempered glass shattered all over the inside of my car. Despite shattered glass everywhere, I was not injured. There were no passengers in the car at the time. Since most of the glass fell inside the cabin, I closed the sunshade so no more would fall on me and pulled over in Waynesville. I was then able to drive on to my destination in Florissant, MO with the sunshade closed. Once there, a mechanic broke out the rest of the glass for me and installed crash wrap until I could get the window fixed. He also vacuumed out as much glass from the cabin as he could. I contacted my insurance company, sent photos and a claim was started. In the end, my insurance company took care of the claim, minus deductible. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the glass exploding. I had also just had a multi point inspection with my tire rotation and oil change just 3 days prior at Pinegar Honda in Springfield, MO and there was no notation that the glass was cracked or otherwise compromised in any way. I don't know if this is a problem occurring with Honda CR V's or if it's just a fluke occurrence with my particular vehicle. The mechanic was unable to determine what caused the glass to shatter. EXTERIOR LIGHTING
The turn signals rapidly flicker on & off when the CRV is parked, engine off and continued off for hours. The turn signals flicker intermittently all night every night. I informed American Honda and Headquarter Honda in Clermont, FL the symptoms exactly mirrored the symptoms of a known questionable Body Control Module that is used throughout their product line up and involved in a huge existing recall. I have a video I would like to share of the flickering lights.

There is a recall issued for my vehicle. I have experienced the exact symptoms described as part of the recall notice. I had a check engine light. Initially they said it was the battery and replaced it, however, a month later again was the same problem. They had an area of diagnosis where it said fuel injection replacement. I was charged 3k. I spoke to them and asked why is it that I had to replace my battery within 1 month, thats very odd. Why is not the recall issue that is the problem and why do they not fix that for me? Why is it that the recall issue is not causing my issues or secondairly causing my issues and everything is being addressed but the recall? I called company. They said they cant get any information from the dealership because of their systems being down—in 2024, lies. Systems can be down but eventually they can be fixed. They asked me to go to a different dealership. I have gone to a different dealership. I was told that the company is not reimbursing people despite having these issues of starting vehciles and check engine signs. These companies need to be held accountable. If a recall is issued, and when a customer is having issues, they cant just blame it one the batter or other parts and act like the recall is not the issue.

The contact owns a 2024 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at speeds below 60 MPH, the brake engaged inadvertently. The contact stated that the Forward Collision Avoidance system was set to brake within two car lengths but there were no vehicles nearby. The vehicle was taken to a dealer however, the failure was not able to be replicated. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,000.

STEERING
The power steering is intermittently heavy ("sticky"). It's hard to stay in your lane, especially at higher speeds on the highway. On and off, the steering briefly feels like "manual steering" (no power), then feels normal. The driver (me) has to be constantly vigilant and use extra effort to keep the car under control. It's worse a higher speeds and is not as bad at lower speeds. Safety is at risk when it's hard to control the direction of the car! The Honda dealer has test driven twice and has not been able to reproduce the problem. The brief on & off heavy steering is worse when the car has been driven for a while - 45 minutes to an hour. The dealer never tested that long. No warning lights or special dash lights showing.

Recently, I had a flat tire. Our 2024 CR-V Hybrid does not have a spare. The tire inflator/sealant did not repair the flat. We were two hours away from home on a Saturday afternoon, and no tire repair shops were open. We had the car towed to the nearest tire repair shop and left for the rest of the weekend since no repair places were open Sunday. Monday we drove two hours to get the car. The tire was able to be repaired. If the tire could be repaired why wasn't the sealant able to repair the tire? We live in Utah, and we were lucky to have been as close to a repair shop as we were. Without a spare tire and an inflator/sealant that is unable to repair the tire with a simple hole, this car is unsafe to drive.

While driving my crv about 40 miles away from home, an all wheel drive system error alert came on the dash. The car seemed to slow as I was driving. I pulled over and parked turned the car off and re started it and it was ok. The error came back on and did not go off and this time the car did not feel safe to drive while accelerating to 20 mph there seemed to be a delay and feeling of wobbling. Had my car stopped at any point on the road this could have caused a major accident. It also felt unsafe
