When jacking car to change tire, the lift point crumbled due to corrosion causing the car to fall back to the ground. There was no obvious evidence of extreme corrosion; it rusted from the inside. It is unknown how much more structural rust is inside the unibody but the car may no longer be safe for the road.

The steering on the 2022 civic will get stuck when in a continued turn or when trying to do small adjustments at highway speeds. It will at times cause over correction which will make you cross over into the next lane. It is unsafe to not be able to perform small steering adjustments at high speeds without jerking the wheel. It seems to be a steering rack issue. The vehicle is a certified preowned with no recalls or maintenance records of steering fixes. The dealer has not yet been contacted but is the next step. The problem has been noticed by multiple drivers. It feels as if you are fighting against the lane assist just to make a small adjustment in the center of a lane.

I was first informed that there was a recall (23V-858) on my 2018 Honda Civic for a fuel pump module back in December 2023. When no information came from Honda as to when the dangerous problem would be repaired, I was informed by the dealership that the repairs could start as early as April of 2024. It is now the end of May and there still no word on when the Honda dealer will have the parts to repair the defect. It has been 6 months since the recall with no further information nor cooperation from Honda on when this issue will be resolved.

Driving the car home at 6pm on a highway, and heard a loud pop sound, but there were no rocks or objects hitting the vehicle. It turn out that the sunroof glass had exploded from the center for no reason. I am only glad the sunroof was not in use/open at the time, otherwise, the shattered glass will definitely lead to some serious consequences.

When driving the car at highway speeds for a number of miles, the steering gets sticky making it hard to maintain lane control. When trying to make minor corrections, the steering wheel will not turn until significant force is used which causes the car to jerk sideways in the lane. This results in having to turn the wheel again to correct again resulting in fighting the steering through the whole drive. The issue is not apparent on short drives or when diving around town making frequent turns. It is only apparent when driving for many miles on the highway. Once it starts, the problem continues until the car is parked for an extended period, such as overnight.

Airbag sensor light for front passenger seat has recently lit up and won’t turn off. Honda dealer said my daughter needs to replace the passenger seat weight sensor which means replacing the whole seat at $3000+ cost. Please check, thank you.

This is in regards to the open recall on my vehicle. The dealership is not able to perform the repair because they say they do not have enough replacement parts from Honda. They're only accepting customers who are experiencing a problem to do the repairs. This is unacceptable for a recall. I shouldn't have to wait til my car breaks, and potentially crash, in order to get a recall issue repaired. The recall number is NHTSA#: 23V-858 MFR#: MGL / 23V-858

Car has rough steering inputs when making small corrections in a left only turn when traveling over 45 mph. The initial input to the left is smooth however when adjusting the wheel to the right to make a correction the wheel will get stuck and then have a jerk or rough correction which can cause large unwanted correction, especially at higher speeds. This issue is most likely the EPS failing in some way.

My local Honda dealer's service department inspected the vehicle after I complained about this ongoing steering issue: steering wheel randomly "sticks" when I turn it either to the right or left, by "degrees" or attempt to round a corner, at very low speed or at highway speeds, and even in reverse when parking. When this occurs, an audible clicking sound is produced that can be heard both in the car and when standing outside beside it. Honda Service was able to reproduce the problem and confirmed it. No warning messages or alarms are generated; no Lane Departure Warning or Lane Keeping Assistance messages are shown. This feels like resistance, a rigidity that might occur were the Lane Keeping Assistance function to stick. The driver reaction to try to "over" compensate wheel-turning to correct the rigid steering direction when the incidences are random is the dangerous circumstance I am trying to avoid. Anything random at high speed or in heavy traffic is extremely dangerous.

When traveling above 60MPH the steering become "Sticky". When attempting to change lanes at high speeds the steering wheel will start to lock up and extra force is needed to get the steering wheel to start turning, causing a jerking motion going into the turn.

While driving, steering becomes sticky. Have to use a little more force to make small adjustments to turn the wheel. It had been happening for a while but I finally just took it into the dealership for a different recall check. Dealer told me it was not recalled part but the rack and pinion and it was not covered so I would have to pay out of pocket. I made claim through my insurance Mechanical Breakdown and they paid for repairs. After fixing, I found that this is a very common issue and don't feel like I should have been made to pay for this repair.

Car automatically stopped abruptly when a car in oncoming traffic turned a safe distance ahead of me. I was in the process of slowing down and was in no danger of being too close to the car in front of me. Nearly got rear ended.

The contact owns a 2018 Honda Civic. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the steering wheel was twitching and jerking while turning in either direction. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the steering rack and pinion was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified to the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V663000 (Steering). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

vehicle has stalled or almost stalled several times. Twice almost resulting in what could have been a fatal accident. we received the recall letter a few months ago and have waited for the repair. last week received another letter basically stating the same thing with no timeline or actual schedule at all in sight. have called the dealerships and they have no information (actually wanted me to bring in the car for a "diagnosis" at a cost to me to tell me what we all already know....ridiculous. How do I get this fixed before it turns into something fatal? in the meantime no offer of replacement or rental vehicle is out there. How do we get this expedited? already several months have passed with no solution. Help
