The contact owns a 2019 Honda Accord. The contact stated that the parking brake light was intermittently illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The warning light continued to illuminate intermittently. Approximately a year later, while driving approximately 30-40 MPH, an unusual odor entered the cabin of the vehicle. The contact inspected the vehicle and noticed that the brake disc on the driver’s side was hot, and the odor was most pronounced; however, the passenger’s side was cool to the touch and did not have the same strong odor. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer confirmed that the VIN was not under recall. The failure mileage was unknown.

This needs to be addressed. EVERYONE knows NOW that there is a high incidence of Head Gasket failure with Honda. The Honda head gasket class action lawsuit includes the following vehicles if equipped with 1.5-liter or 2.0-liter i-VTEC turbocharged gasoline direct injection engines: 2018-2022 Honda Accord 2016-2022 Honda Civic 2017-2022 Honda CR-V 2021-2022 Acura RDX 2019-2022 Acura TLX I got an "approximate cost" for a head gasket repair on a 2019 Honda Accord, of $3000 from the Honda dealer after previously getting a $3559 from an independent. The dealer just came back to me with an estimate of $5781.32. I check reliability ratings before ever buying a car. It's a Honda! If they are not willing to do the right thing, maybe they should be made to? This NEEDS to be a recall. Do you even know how many Americans have been affected by this? Including those that haven't complained or reported it?

- #11696661October 30, 2025ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE
I purchased my vehicle in March 25th 2024 a message on my dashboard saying engine is too hot so in August of this year I took it to the shop for a diagnosis test and they told me that the car didn’t run hot when they drove it so again in October 10th I was driving home and my car lost power on the freeway so I pulled over and then all my lights on the dashboard came on so I took it to the shop on October 13th and they told me that my head gasket was faulty and my coolant system was faulty. To me a major problem should have not happened within a years time and I had my maintenance done on my car like I should have.

While accelerating car jerks at times. At time car will go in limp mode I’ll have to safely try to get to side of road turn car off. Restart and continue driving. I’ve changed spark plugs, coil packs, turbo, fuel injectors, fuel pump and battery. I continue to put money into my car and nothing helps.

My wheels and steering column makes an extremely loud clacking, squeaking noise when turning left or right almost like my shocks, cv axle or suspension is damaged. The dealer service center can not locate the problem. The infotainment systems does not connect via Bluetooth or usb making it impossible to be hand’s free or access any maps or apps. The dealers service center attempted repair but it did not fix the problem.

- #11696541October 30, 2025UNKNOWN OR OTHER, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
When making a left turn, my car suddenly bucked up onto the air feeling like I ran over a big obstacle which was not the case. Car came to sudden stop and I was thrown forward over steering wheel. Thankfully no one was behind me or it would have been catastrophic. The first week I owned the car, when going through a car wash, the car started jumping up and down and wouldn't move forward. Had to back out of carwash. Dealer told me it was the collision mitigation system and to turn it off before going in. The "brake" light on dash periodically flashes when no cars are in front of me. I am truly afraid to drive this car which only has 5,800 miles on it. Dealer can't find a problem. I am turning off collision feature every time I drive, but what if I forget? I believe this is an extremely dangerous defect and should be looked into. It doesn't always happen, but when it does...

infotainment system is susceptible to intermittent ghost touches. This occurs when using any functionality of the screen of the infotainment system including navigation, music playing, apple car play, and hands free cell phone calls. The screen will open up new menus on its own, end a navigation route, place cell phone calls on hold, and not respond to touches from the driver. This creates a highly dangerous situaiton while driving as the driver must take their eyes off the road to attempt to remedy constant errors and glitches with the infotainment system. Particularly troublesome are instances occurring when using navigation as the driver will need to re-input a destination that was canceled or having a phone call placed on hold mid-conversation. Navigation systems are sometimes necessary to operate the vehicle. Phone calls are no longer hands free if the driver has to look down at their phone to try and disconnect it from the infotainment system to resume the call. This requires taking your eyes off the road for an extended period of time, potentially while traveling at highway speeds. Vehicle was returned to manufacture via dealership several times to address the issue. The Dealer confirmed a defective infotainment system in October 2024 and replaced it under warranty. Due to the part being on back-order it was not replaced until March 2025. The issue continues with the newly replaced screen. The vehicle has been returned several times to the dealer since replacing the screen. Dealer claims they cannot duplicate the issue and do not know what is causing it. Opened Case #: 15316225 with American Honda Motor Co. which went unresolved after several visits to the dealer.

- #11696178October 28, 2025AIR BAGS, SEAT BELTS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
On June 9, 2025, my 2016 Honda Accord’s driver seatbelt detached and yanked my body with excessive force during a collision, it felt like not lifted me up to the roof The seatbelt’s jerking motion was so odd and intense causing serious injuries including a ruptured breast implant, nerve damage, and cervical spine trauma. The airbags failed to deploy despite a front and side impact. Immediately afterward, both seatbelt and airbag warning lights illuminated. The car has been in repair storage (Kia Willowbrook Ford) since June 16, 2025, without explanation or safety findings from Honda. Honda said the seatbelt sensor is backorder but no one can give me an ETA and I need a vehiclethat is safe. The part has been on backorder for close to 5 months!! This is a critical safety failure, and I am requesting federal investigation into possible seatbelt or airbag defects associated with this VIN.,

While pulling into a parking spot my car unexpectedly accelerated. Brakes were unresponsive even after placing both feet on the brake pedal. Vehicle stopped only after I hit a tree. Engine continued to rev at which point I placed the vehicle in park and shut off the engine. Although the impact of the crash was severe my 1airbag did not deploy.

Dear NHTSA Representative, I am writing to formally report a recurring and unresolved fuel system issue with my 2025 Honda Accord EX, which I believe may point to a potential manufacturing defect or calibration problem affecting fuel delivery or measurement accuracy. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have observed a consistent and concerning pattern: whenever I refuel the car to a completely full tank, the fuel gauge almost immediately begins to drop. Within 5 to 10 minutes of operating the vehicle—sometimes within 30 minutes—the gauge already loses one full bar. This happens regardless of driving conditions or distance traveled. Under normal circumstances, I would expect a new Honda Accord to retain a full-tank reading for a reasonable period after refueling and to achieve the expected range between fill-ups. Instead, I am experiencing extremely rapid depletion. At best, each full tank lasts me approximately three to four days of moderate driving, far less than a week. For clarity: •I do not idle the vehicle unnecessarily. •I do not run the air conditioner; I usually drive with the windows open. •I operate the vehicle under normal conditions, without aggressive acceleration or excessive loads. Despite routine 125-point inspections and regular maintenance at authorized service centers, no visible leaks or external faults have been identified. Yet, the issue persists unchanged. The dealer’s technicians have been unable to detect a mechanical cause, and the vehicle’s diagnostic systems have not shown error codes related to the fuel system. Given these circumstances, I am deeply concerned that there may be an underlying defect in the fuel delivery system, fuel-pump calibration, or fuel-level sender module, potentially affecting not just my vehicle but others of the same model year. If the system is over-pressurizing or mismanaging the rate of fuel consumption, that would represent both a safety risk and an efficiency failure. I am therefore requesting that t

Why the 2019 Honda Accord Turbocharger Deserves a Class Action Lawsuit Many 2019 Honda Accord owners equipped with the 1.5L or 2.0L turbocharged engines have experienced serious and recurring issues with their turbochargers and related engine systems. These problems often appear prematurely and result in expensive repairs, performance loss, and potential safety risks — all of which suggest a manufacturing or design defect that Honda has failed to properly address. 1. Widespread Turbocharger Failures A large number of owners have reported: •Turbocharger failure or malfunction well before 100,000 miles. •Loss of engine power, whistling noises, or “limp mode” warnings. •Excessive oil consumption and contamination caused by turbo seal leaks. These are not isolated incidents — they indicate a pattern of premature component failure. 2. Manufacturer Awareness Without Proper Remedy Honda has issued technical service bulletins (TSBs) acknowledging certain turbo-related problems, but no recall or extended warranty has been offered to cover affected owners. This shows awareness of the issue but a lack of full accountability. 3. Potential Safety Risk When the turbo fails, the vehicle can suddenly lose power — especially dangerous during highway driving or merging. This transforms a mechanical issue into a potential safety hazard. 4. Financial Burden on Owners Turbocharger repairs can cost $2,000–$4,000+, often out of pocket since Honda claims these are not “defects.” Many drivers are left paying for repairs on vehicles that should not experience such failures this early. 5. Possible Breach of Warranty and Consumer Protection Laws
