Sunroof Explosion Incident: I was driving East bound on the I-880 highway (in the direction to Sacramento CA) between the Columbus Pkwy and Hiddenbrook exits in the city of Vallejo. When all of the sudden I heard a loud boom/explosion noise and heard glass drop onto the closed sunroof visor and flying hitting the rear of my car. I pulled off at the Hiddenbrook exit. I saw a highway patrol officer at a stop sign and flagged him down. I explained to him what I experienced. He asked me if I saw anyone throw anything. I told him no. We both looked in through the opening where the sunroof glass was shattered and saw no random object. He then advised me to contact my insurance company to see what remedy they may offer. I called the insurance immediately after the officer and I departed ways.

this car has lane keeping assistance but this is very bad, if you let the assistant assist you at 65mph for more than 5 seconds you probably die, because this assistance move you like ping pong from left side to right side. Also this has a very bad quality of steering rack after 30 days starts making noise and they fixed but the noise starts again. i was forced to trade in this car, ocean Honda of Burlingame hide reports they also hide from carfax they make services or replace parts but they only stated like tire rotation or driveability check tire pressure check be aware of this.

On our 2016 Accord with the 3.5 V6 there is a design issue with the starter assembly. This issue is also happening with other models with this engine configuration manufactured between 2013 through 2017. The starter on my vehicle won’t engage the flywheel gears fully causing damage to the flywheel and the starter. There is a Honda service bulletin ( 16-002) calling to replace the starter and rotate the torque converter clockwise one bolt hole position. This can only be done ONE TIME so if it happens again( and it probably will)the torque converter will need to be replaced which is a minimum of $4,000 and even that won’t guarantee it won’t repeat this issue. This is a safety issue because there is a possibility that you could be stranded and vulnerable to hazards on the road .

On 11/3/25 honda conducted the fuel injection recall fix. Prior to this, no warning lights were displayed on dash. 11/11/25 nine different warnings displayed on dashboard board. 11/13/25 at approximately 35mph the vehicle would not accelerate and the 9 warning notifications continued to flash. Cars had to go around me as I tried to find a safe place to pull to side of the road. I turned off the ignition. I took the vehivle back to the honda dealership maintenance. My vehicle will be there till tomorrow. I was informed code P0304 was present. Prior to recall fix drivability was not a concern and and had no warning lights.

I was driving and the skid, brake, ABS and steering light came on. I was with my kids so I immediately slowed down and contacted my mechanic. We initially thought it would be a sensor. After hooking it up, it was detected to be the ABS Brake module. After further research this is a “normal” issue. A new module is expensive $2500 with the dealer and is on back order for 3 months. We have shipped the module to CA (I’m in TN) to get it “repaired”. I have been without a car for 3weeks and still waiting. This is insane and should be recalled. I hope the “repair” fixes the issue.

When I purchased my car from AutoNation Honda Clearwater, I immediately faced several issues. The first problem was with the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). As soon as the error appeared, I contacted the dealership. They informed me that it was covered under warranty and that I could visit any Honda service center to have it fixed. However, when I went to another authorized Honda service center, they refused to perform the repair, even though TPMS is a legally required safety system. In addition, I had reported the following issues to the dealership soon after purchase: 1. The driver’s seat is torn. 2. The passenger power seat is not functioning. 3. The air conditioning system makes a “burping” noise. Most importantly, the dealership failed to provide a lug nut key at the time of delivery. This became a serious issue when I had a flat tire during travel. When roadside assistance arrived, they informed me that the car required a special lug nut key that should have been provided by the dealer. Because of this missing item, the car had to be towed, which cost me $700. When I contacted AutoNation Honda Clearwater about this, they claimed they did not have my original key and later sent me a replacement key that did not fit. Their response was unhelpful and dismissive. I believe this situation reflects negligence and poor customer service from the dealership. I am requesting appropriate action and compensation for the towing expense and the unresolved issues that should have been addressed under warranty.

Driving and without warning steering light came on, display flickered, engine surged, and complete loss of steering in a matter seconds. I was barely able to turn car onto a driveway where the engine shutdown. I restarted engine and noticed considerable knocking, put car in gear and engine shut-off. I had car towed to a garage and am waiting for info. I should note that the previous month there has been some parasitic draw that requires me to jump start the car every few days even with a new battery.

Car radio, and the upper screen on top of the car radio restarts at random times either when using it or not using it, CarPlay restart the radio as well the upper screen random times when it restarts as well as the radio will not show you current drive trip or fuel amount. It goes in and out and restarts. The whole system went to the dealership many times and they say they see nothing wrong. I’ve looked up online to see if I can find a way or see if any other people are having an issue and from what I looked up there are a lot of people with 2016s 2017 with the same issue. I am occurring this issue has been going on for years since I brought the car. I brought the car brand new out of the dealership. I’m taking it many times to the Dealership service department and no one is able to assist me to correct the issue. I have also showed the service department video proof of the issue please I would appreciate if you guys could assist in this issue, whether if these radios of my car and many other peoples vehicles have to be replaced or God forbid there’s a loose wire in the back and this car has a really electrical problem and my car catch a fire. God forbid. But this issue has been going on for a while that for example I could be listening to music loud radio cancels out and then it will just come back on scaring me because it was locked as well as putting up and down the volume won’t work because the system freezes and it restarts itself and all this is while I’m physically driving can’t use navigation can’t use hands-free in my car due to this issue I also have video, but I’m not able to upload the video. It only allows me to upload photos. The photo that was uploaded is how my car screen looks now with no screen at all and as I’m speaking to you right now, the car is literally resetting itself again for the fifth time today even when the car radio and screen, reset there are still a major live in the system

The contact owns a 2014 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving 50 MPH on the interstate, while depressing the accelerator pedal, the vehicle decelerated to 20 MPH and remained at 20 MPH. The contact stated that her daughter pulled over to the side of the road, turned off the vehicle, and waited several seconds before restarting the vehicle. The check engine warning light illuminated while attempting to restart the vehicle. An independent mechanic was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the independent mechanic and was diagnosed and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 158,748.

The infotainment screen repeatedly overheats and runs through ghost commands (commands not initiated by the user). This includes repeated, unsolicitated phone calls, texts, radio changes, GPS commands, system tones, etc. This is dangerously distracting and takes the drivers attention off the road ahead. I just saw the new Honda Civic recall for wheels falling off and it reminded me to report this. On January 6, 2022 I was driving down I-29 from Grand Forks to Fargo and about 60 miles into my trip I thought I had a flat tire. I pulled over at the next exit and found I was missing 3 lug bolts and nuts, 1 lug nut with the bolt still attached, and my wheel was hanging on by just 1 lug bolt + nut. It looked like 3 or the bolts sheared off while I was driving. There was absolutely no prior warning or indication before this happened. I was doing about 75 mph and, from what I remember, it was about -20f outside. I had my car towed to a local mechanic, Tuffy Tire and Auto Servicr, and they fixed it. If my tire fell off at 75 mph I almost certainly would’ve ended up hitting another car or going into the ditch. The problem hasn’t been reproduced by a local dealer, but the Tuffy Tire and Auto Care in Fargo, ND should still have records/invoice about my service. My Honda accord has been inspected by Rydell Honda in Grand Forks, ND and they should have records of my lug nuts coming loose because I brought it in multiple times and I think they had to order a part for it. Another time, I think in late 2022 or 2023, I had my tires rotated at Rydell Honda in Grand Forks, ND and I drove about 90 miles and my lug nuts came loose on one wheel. I had to pull over and tighten them, but there was damage to the wheel. I believe Rydell Honda has records about this incident as well.

My car lost power while driving on multiple occasions. My car was originally on the fuel pump recall list but the dealership did not have the part for 6+ months. When the part did come in I found out my car was no longer on the recall list. I had to have my fuel pump injectors replaced due to a faulty fuel pump.

- #11699038November 12, 2025SEAT BELTS
The car was in a very minor incident. It rear ended another vehicle at low speed. There were scratches as the only damage to the vehicles. Despite this very low impact, the seatbelts went off with smoke and no longer function. The safety systems light (airbag, seatbelts) is now on. The car is no longer safe to drive because the front seat belts (both buckled, passenger's was only occupied by a backpack) are locked up and reeled in.

I am reporting an ongoing issue with my 2016 Honda Accord Touring V6 caused by a misdiagnosis at Honda of the Avenues in Jacksonville, FL. In December 2024, they diagnosed my oil leak as a valve cover gasket issue and charged me for the repair, but the leak never stopped. I returned multiple times and was told “everything is fine,” even though oil was clearly visible. Because the real issue was never fixed, oil eventually dripped onto my alternator and caused it to fail while I was driving on the highway. My car stalled in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. I had to replace the alternator at Lucas Honda out of pocket. As of November 2025, the leak continues, and I discovered the true source is the top front solenoid, not the valve cover gasket they insisted on. This misdiagnosis, continued leak, I hear other people on facebook Honda Accord 9 generation that are having similar Issues with Oil Leaks and Honda Refuses to acknowledge theses issues.
