Some 2015-2017 Transit vehicles may fail to program the BCM following replacement. To repair, follow BCM installation procedures in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-10 using Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS) or Ford J2534 Diagnostic Software (FJDS) release 108.06 or higher. Make sure you are connected to the internet when entering module programming to obtain the latest updates. Calibration files may also be obtained at www.motorcraftservice.com. Disregard DTC U0264 in the BCM and DTC U0010 in the Image Processing Module B (IPMB) if no observable rear parking aid camera concerns are present. For claiming this programming procedure, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

Some 2017-2018 F-Super Duty/2016-2018 F650-750 with 6.7L diesel engines and 2015-2018 Transit with 3.2L diesel engines may exhibit a MIL on with diagnostic trouble code (DTC) P206C in the powertrain control module (PCM). This may be due to incorrect diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) concentration. Prior to performing Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) pinpoint test RJ, confirm DEF concentration using IDS to monitor REDUCT_CONC_MES. This PID reading may fluctuate between 31% and 34% indicating DEF concentration is correct. A concentration reading below 28% will set P206C and cause vehicle derate. This reading may also be checked using Central Tools Refractometer (CEN3R201) which should indicate a similar percentage as the PID. Low concentration of DEF is not a warrantable condition. If low concentration is suspected, drain fluid and replace with known good DEF before replacing any parts.

Some 2016-2018 Ford and Lincoln Vehicle equipped with SYNC 3 and connected to an iPhone recently upgraded to iOS 11.2.5 may exhibit a concern where USB Audio playback and App Link applications will not function properly. This may also include, under certain conditions, no Bluetooth Streaming. Apple is aware of the issue and is working on a resolution with a future iOS release. No repairs should be performed at this time. To check the iOS software level on an Apple iOS device, select Settings > General > About on the device. Monitor OASIS for updates. Customers can also check Apple Support or connect to iTunes for the latest available iOS release for their phone.

To assist with the investigation use the Report A Vehicle Concern link in the purple bar at the bottom of the OASIS report and submit a Global Concern Report (GCR), noting the leak severity and hose clamp location. If available, digital images can be attached to the report. Properly identify and retain all replaced parts, including hose clamps replaced with any outside part, to allow part return in support of root cause analysis. Monitor OASIS for updates.

Various 2016-2017 vehicles with SYNC 3 may experience a touch screen that does not respond to any input. Using the Professional Technician Society (PTS) website > OASIS tab > SYNC version, verify the vehicle SYNC software version. If the vehicle is at version 2.2 please update the module to the latest software level. After the software is updated make sure you shut the vehicle off, open the door for 2 minutes, then turn the key back on before testing the touch screen. If the software is at a later version than 2.2, proceed with normal diagnostics in Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 415-00. For claiming, use causal part 14G371 and applicable labor operations in section 10 of the Service Labor Times Standards (SLTS) manual.

Summary
Some 2015-2018 Transit vehicles equipped with a 3.2L Duratorq-TDCi may exhibit an engine oil leak from the rear crankshaft seal. The Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-01 has been updated to include the correct location to apply sealant to the rear crankshaft seal. When repairing a rear crankshaft oil leak condition, a 3 mm (0.120 in) bead of Motorcraftù Silicone Gasket and Sealant TA-30 (WSE-M4G323-A4) or equivalent must be applied to the joints where the ladder frame meets the engine block. Failure to follow the updated procedure in WSM, Section 303-01 may result in a repeat oil leak at the rear of the engine.

Some 2015-2018 F-150, Mustang and Transit vehicles built on or before 01-Dec-2017 may have a concern of no airflow from the climate control vents. This may be caused by a seized or sticking A/C clutch. This can be repaired by replacing only the A/C clutch (19D786/19D784). The compressor assembly (19703) may not be required. Refer to Workshop Manual, Section 412-00 for A/C clutch removal. It may be necessary to lightly tap around the stuck area of the clutch with a rubber mallet to free it from the pulley for removal. Refer to applicable labor operations from Section 11 of the SLTS maunual when replacing the A/C clutch.

The master code for the Accessory (Wireless) Keyless Entry Keypad can be retrieved from FMCDealer - Parts and Service - Parts Product Line Information - Keys/Entry Devices - Aftermarket Keyless Entry Keypad Code Access. Access to this site is granted through Dealer Program Enrollment System (DPES) and Dealer Principal, General Manager or Parts and Service Director can authorize users. Once authorized the retrieval process for master code can be obtained. 2015-2018 Transit vehicles ordered with a keyless entry keypad arrive with the Ford Accessory keypad installed and programmed. Vehicles built prior to late January 2017 will have a cardboard box containing a master keycode card and personal entry code programming instructions stowed in the vehicles driver door pocket. Vehicles built after late January 2017 will have the cardboard box containing the card and instructions already stowed in the glove box. The master keycode card and programming instructions must be placed along with the other owner literature in the glovebox, for future reference by the vehicle owner. Certain U.S. dealer employees can retrieve lost keypad codes via FMCDealer.com - Parts and Service tab - Parts Product Line Information - Accessories - Keys/Entry Devices.
