Vehicle accelerated on its own while parking with engine on. Truck jumped a raised curb causing damage to bumper, and Pre collision assist and Pedestrian light displays. If the vehicle sits for more than 36 hours, it enters a deep sleep mode and develops an unresolved battery drain issue, rendering it inoperable. This vehicle has been in the shop four times with three battery replacements having less than $30,000 MI if a person or to drive this out of town or park at a rest stop, it could lead them stranded. I also suspect that it could cause other electrical faults, leading to more consequential security issues.

At 3k miles the turbocharger and parts within the transmission failed on my 2025 ford maverick, there were no warning lamps or messages on the dash but I had the symptoms of lack of power, the truck struggled to climb hills, it sounded like the turbo sound was coming through the air vents, and going uphill it almost stalled. I took it to one ford dealership who claimed it was normal operation before taking it to one of Fords commercial truck centers who diagnosed a turbo failure and various parts within the transmission have failed.

*** VEHICLE FIRE RISK *** Drivers dash tweeter started smoking and the dash became hot to the touch near the windshield. Smelled something electrical burning. Smoke stain on LWR LH windshield corner. Removed key. Exited vehicle and heard static from drivers door speaker. Entered car, re-started vehicle and static from the one-speaker-only did not stop. Removed key, exited vehicle, and the drivers door speaker was still emitting static sound. About 15 minutes later, the static sound stops and vehicle operates "normal" except for missing/low "high-frequency" on LH side. Suspect that the tweeter was exposed to full 12 volt power unregulated. Fire risk was high. Dash made an "alarm noise" beeping loudly (when this event occurred). 2025 Maverick XL AWD Hybrid Truck has approximately 29,000 miles on odometer.
