2022 Ford Maverick had water build up under the front passenger seat floor. I'm at 3.5 years of ownership and the dealer is telling me it will cost $1100 to fix because of an improperly installed windshield and cowl issue which ruined the internal filter and air circulation motor. Now i have to pay out of pocket because of a crappy manufacturer defect. I have seen in Maverick forums that this is a common issue and yet we are the ones having to fork out the cash.

On [XXX] brought Maverick 24 2.0L gas AWD on Electronic Control Unit ( ECU) to Ford Dealer#3 PJ Ford. Was advised Hybrid trucks have ECU on inside bulkhead rear cab wall behind flip down seat. However on later 2.0 L options gas are mounted behind driver side front bumper near and behind front driver side plastic/ fabric wheel well parallel to shot axel ( CVJ) approximately 12 high from ground. Upon first truck was engine started to stall due to water spay entering uncovered rear of plastic axel. Having other Broncos and Range Rover Sport filed complaint with FMC today after requesting to have ECU relocated to where Hybrid are mounted : PJ FORD service mgr. refused and FMC stated bring to another Ford dealer Bayville Ford 14 miles to south on Thursday 4/10/25 for second warrantee claim. I am afraid that in heavy rain with road flooding over 12" the engine will die and cause a rear end collision. I have waited 90 days on recall 24S59 real view camera freezing now have to get out to measure one foot of road water or waves from other trucks assembled properly. I will keep Maverick for sunny days until FMC correct " mis Assembly " of ECU in Mexico Assembly factory. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

At 61,000 miles on the odometer and the Cv shafts have to be replaced. Ford has no supply on hand and is on a global back order until the end of April. Part adviser said that this is a consistent issue with mavericks.

The contact owns a 2023 Ford Maverick. The contact stated that while driving approximately 40 MPH, the brake warning light illuminated. My truck's CV axles broke around 20,000 miles. Replacement parts weren't available. This was a safety issue because I expected a new truck with low mileage to be reliable. If I wasn't technically inclined, I might not have understood the danger. The dealership replaced them under warranty, but they didn't inspect the broken parts. The truck shook badly when accelerating, which was the warning sign.

Vehicle CV Axels going bad repeatedly. Replaced them 3 times. Luckily we've discovered the CV axel failures in low speeds. If it fails at the wrong time like during a turn on the highway, it could cause a serious accident. Plus the cost and inconvenience of repeated repairs continue to be an issue on such a new truck. Most owners report the same issue happening on Maverick forums. It seems lie this program is too common to be ignored. When we contact Ford dealerships parts are never available (back ordered) and it takes weeks to get this replaced adding more complexity to this situation. Formally requesting this issue to be reviewed at the NHTSA level.

At a intersection turning lane as I got a green arrow, ( as I pushed down on accelerator)a loud pop sounded and all vehicle operations stopped immediately. The battery had popped in the top front side, with battery liquid all over battery. No hazard lights, no putting into gear, only driver door operational at a very busy intersection. Flagging traffic and trying to call for new battery, very tough. Plant city Florida police arrived 20 minutes later. They waited with me until 40 minutes a battery arrived. I cleaned up acid with towel I had in front and tech changed battery. [THIS INCIDENT [XXX]- intersection [XXX] ] I can't express th [XXX] ot changing every battery thats compromised is beyond crazy. I paid $385 for the battery and spent $10 thousand of my life in that intersection. Fords are a lifetime of Dad's/my Family vehicle purchase history and I wish I had some of Ford Brass in the intersection with me. If they think they have a problem, I can guarantee it. Bartow Ford can't do anything because ( its Ford problem/remedy. I was discouraged they didn't say bring it in, but my buying any future product may be my remedy. Their were no warning lights, no smells from engine, no signs of any whisps of smoke coming up from hood. All I can finish with is when it happens, your out of business completely, where ever your at. The tech took the battery and I didn't take a picture because getting out of traffic was No.1. You can't sit inside and read your manual, with no emergency hazards at a busy intersection. You won't get this adrenaline rush/anxiety on a Universal thrill ride. You have a good chance of being hit by one or more vehicles on the inside or outside. I recently reported my Ford maverick for the failure of the front right CV joint/axle at 22k miles. Well when I picked it up from Ford. They notified me that the front left is also bad. And I'm at 23k miles. These are clearly an issue that's happening everywhere.
