When in drive, the vehicle will roll backwards when on a slope if you do not have your foot on the break. The torque converter and control body has been replaced by Gullo ford of Conroe TX. They state that i should use the auto break function. Ford itself states that i need to contact the dealer to rectify any problems with the vehicle. Ford refuses to do any additional work and state this is normal for this vehicle. This is a very dangerous situation for the vehicle if you are not paying attention or are not familiar with the vehicle.

- #11733458April 23, 2026VISIBILITY/WIPER
Issue 1: During snow conditions, the windshield wiper arms have detached from the linkage pivot on two separate occasions while in operation. This creates an immediate loss of visibility and a significant safety hazard while driving. In both instances, the detached wiper arm had to be retrieved and manually reinstalled. On one occasion, the arm could not be reinstalled in the field, leaving the vehicle without functional wipers. The component should be available for inspection upon request. The first occurrence happened on Jan 3, 2025. The most recent was Feb 2026. Issue 2: The windshield wipers are currently inoperable. When activated, the wipers move slightly upward (approximately 4–6 inches from the bottom of the windshield), then stall and begin to stutter/twitch repeatedly before stopping completely. There is no visible external damage to the linkage. This condition renders the wipers ineffective and unusable. The issue has occurred during active snowfall, making the vehicle unsafe to operate due to loss of visibility. No prior warning lights or messages were observed before the failure. The issue began suddenly, and was not a slow failure. It also occurred the day after a software update, which I noted because of the changed radio and alarm settings in the vehicle. I believe this was April 14th or 15th. By proximity of the app update, this raises the concern of the issue being related to the app. Based on research, there are multiple current and prior recalls involving similar Ford truck wiper system failures related to linkage lubrication, motor sealing, and sensor faults. The described failures appear to be functionally related and represent a significant safety concern.

- #11733375April 23, 2026SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
While driving up to 40 mph, the emergency brake will randomly come on causing me to skid and stop suddenly. I manually have to turn back off the emergency brake to drive again. This incident has occurred in traffic multiple times. The truck has been at the dealership service center four times and they cannot replicate, diagnose, or repair the issue. The dealership states they have looked at the electrical components and replaced the battery, which did not solve the issue. There are no warnings prior to the emergency brake coming on. A collision is not about to happen that causes it to come on.

- #11733363April 23, 2026EXTERIOR LIGHTING
I am reporting a significant safety defect regarding the integrated rear light bar on my vehicle. The component initially developed visible stress cracks across the housing. This has now progressed to a total electrical failure of the unit. The light bar serves as a primary housing for the vehicle's brake lights and reverse lights. These lights no longer illuminate. This is a critical safety concern as it leaves the vehicle without functional signaling for stopping or reversing, significantly increasing the risk of a rear-end collision, especially at night or in low-visibility conditions.

Hard shifts from 10R80 Transmission in 2022 f150, I’ve had a lot of hard shifts especially in lower gears, clunking sounds and skipping gears every so often, the 10R80 transmission should be recalled in all fords and have the updated parts in them, it is unacceptable to have these kind of trucks transmission failing at 70,000 miles. There is tons of people complaining about this. Thank you

See attached document for complaint. I have received several notices concerning this recall, dating back a little over a year. I have called the customer service department several times in the past year. To date, no "fix" is available on a defect that can cause a loss of fuel pressure and flow resulting in a possible engine stall while driving. "An engine stall while driving increases the risk of a crash" unquote from the recall notice. HOW IS A "FIX" NOT AVAILABLE AFTER OVER A YEAR OF NOTICE OF DEFECT! Between my husband and myself, we have bought dozens (no exaggeration) of Ford vehicles (mostly new), but we are seriously doubting our purchase of my 2022 F-150 after this recall. I am continuously driving my [XXX] mother (who walks with a walker) to doctor appointments and errands in my truck. How would I safely assist my [XXX] mother, with a walker, off the middle of a highway if my truck stalls out??? We also tow a trailer with my truck at times. How would we safely pull off a highway with a loaded trailer??? I also had called the Customer Relations Center (1-800-392-3673) on February 23, 2026 and was told the Engineering Department has not determined a repair as of that date. My dealer, Sarchione Ford of Randolph, again checked on the recall "fix" while my truck was in for an oil change on March 6, 2026. No "fix" date was available. Fords' inability to "fix" a serious defect as this, is very troublesome and totally unacceptable. Please contact me concerning this potentially life-threatening, possible accident-causing defect. My vehicle was subject to Recall FSA 23S65, which addresses a defect involving the rear axle hub bolt. I brought the vehicle to a Ford-authorized dealership for the recall repair; however, the repair was not properly completed. The rear axle hub bolt subsequently failed, confirming that the recall defect was not adequately remedied. After the bolt failure, I returned the vehicle to the dealership, where technicians stated that the differential is now damaged. They claim that an axle bearing failed independently and dispersed metal contaminants throughout the differential, characterizing this as a coincidence unrelated to the recall issue. However, upon further review by a mechanic, it appears far more likely that the axle bolt failure directly caused or contributed to the bearing failure and resulting differential damage. The vehicle now produces a humming noise while driving, and I have been strongly advised that it is unsafe to operate. Despite multiple attempts to resolve this matter with both the dealership and Ford Motor Company, I have been unable to obtain a satisfactory response or corrective action. This situation raises serious concerns regarding the adequacy of the recall repair and the resulting safety risk.

The 10r80 transmission is failing. I have safety concerns for myself and others due to loss of acceleration and violent down shifts. The issue has been reproduced by my mechanic shop. The dealership will not help me with the issue. There have been no dash lights until the failure occurred. The only indication was some occasional rough shifting leading up to the incidents.

- #11732645April 21, 2026EXTERIOR LIGHTING
I have a 2021 F150. The vehicle has LED day time running lights (DRL's). Several of the lights have overheated and melted the plastic internally to limit the transmittance of light. Thus it appears that the light is not functioning, but the reality it has burnt the plastic. This is a known issue that can be seen everyday on the road in other F150's and in the FORD F150 forums. FORD has realized this design issue and has changed the design of the headlight assembly in newer vehicles. In order to get the (DRL's) repaired, you must replace the entire headlight assembly at a cost of $1500 just for the assembly according to the FORD dealership when I brought the vehicle in routine service. Also, when the DRL first failed, it was believed that FORD had sent an over the air software update that included increasing the intensity of the LED for the DRL. This software update was changed back to the setting that it originally came with the vehicle. The first LED that failed was approximately 2 years ago. A second DRL failed about 6 months later. I have changed the settings so the DRL's do not come on during the day to minimize future DRL's from burning the plastic. In theory, if I wanted to have my vehicle perform properly with the DRL's operating for safety, I would need to replace both assemblies at a cost of over $3000. That seems very excessive. I should have submitted this complaint sooner, but now that I receive several recalls per year for my F150 for other issues, I felt it was time to add this one to the list since the issue is so widespread. If DRL's are not important for safety while driving, why are they installed on vehicles? A quick search on YouTube for diagnosing videos, clearly indicates that the problem exists and its a design issue.

My truck is a 2025 Ford F150 STX with 5,900 miles on it. This truck was purchased new at River City Ford in Lavalette, WV The component in questions seems to be involved with the turbos and more specifically the wastegate that attached to the turbos. Also, yes, it would be available for inspection. I am unsure if it is a true safety concern as Ford says it is not and it is normal operation. However, with it making the rattling sound that it does I would believe that it could cause damage or that it's not normal operation. Yes, the problem has been confirmed by the dealer on 2 visits now but Ford refuses to do any type of repair as they say this is normal. It has only been inspected by Ford technicians The problem appeared over a month ago and is still happening every time I drive the vehicle.

White smoke coming out of rear wheels when driving 80mph. Engine kicks at the same time reducing the speed. Strong smell of brakes at the rear wheels when pulled over. Likely the brakes are engaged at that speed.

The vehicle is subject to an active safety recall (rear axle hub bolt / axle assembly). The issue has been confirmed by a dealer inspection in November 2025. Despite confirmation, no repair was performed because the dealer did not initially order the required parts. This resulted in several months of delay. After escalation to the manufacturer, a parts order was finally placed in April 2026 and marked as priority. The dealer has since confirmed there is still no estimated time of arrival for the required parts, and the repair cannot be completed. This conflicts with recall information indicating that parts are available. The recall states that failure of the axle hub components can lead to loss of motive power or unintended vehicle movement. The vehicle is used regularly for towing and hauling, which increases concern about potential failure under load. The safety issue remains unresolved after several months, and there is no timeline for repair despite repeated attempts to address it through both the dealer and manufacturer.

Hello, my 2021 Ford F150 with 10 Speed Automatic Transmission is believe 10R80 is the issue. I've experienced some delayed shifting, erratic shifting. Also, some when coming to a stop. I've had the transmission serviced with a fluid drain and new filter. Current mileage approximate 53K. I did research to find the 10 Speed. Transmission to having issues with a Class Action Lawsuit.

Forward collision assist was activated without warning and for no reason. Brakes were applied abruptly causing the vehicle to slow down dramatically causing passengers to lurch forward which caused temporary discomfort in head, neck and shoulder area. Driving at approximately 50MPH in a straight direction on a two-lane road, one lane for each direction. There were no vehicles in front or rear in same lane of travel. Had just passed another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Road conditions were normal. Roadway was dry with no obstacles. Vehicle is scheduled for inspection.

Occasional hard downshift for no reason. Feels like it will damage transmission and lower transmission life. Jerks truck slightly when this occurs. More common on hill. Beginning to have some hard shifting coming out of park - recent issue. Purchased truck new in Jan 2025. Has gotten worse with recent Ford automatic software updates or was not addressed in those updates for another recall. Date listed was most recent. Has been occurring for several months occasionally, but with increasing frequency.

Vehicle: 2021 Ford F-150 XLT Issue: Transmission Malfunction and Safety Concern I am submitting a formal complaint regarding a serious and ongoing transmission issue with my 2021 Ford F-150 XLT. The vehicle has exhibited multiple dangerous and unpredictable transmission behaviors that raise significant safety concerns. First, the truck experiences a pronounced 3–4 shift flare. During this shift, the engine RPM rises abnormally high before the transmission engages the next gear. This creates a noticeable delay in acceleration and reduces driver control, particularly when merging into traffic or accelerating from lower speeds. Second, there is a severe hard engagement when shifting from Park into Drive or Reverse. The vehicle produces a loud and forceful clunk, accompanied by a jarring motion. This issue occurs consistently and gives the impression of excessive internal wear or mechanical failure within the transmission system. Third, the transmission intermittently becomes stuck in gear or behaves erratically. This includes sudden, harsh downshifts without driver input, bringing the vehicle to a stop, and occasions where the vehicle resists changing gears altogether. These events are abrupt and can be dangerous, especially at highway speeds or in heavy traffic conditions. Additionally, there have been instances of delayed engagement and hesitation when selecting Drive or Reverse, further compounding concerns about reliability and safety. These transmission problems are not only disruptive but also pose a real risk of accident or injury due to loss of predictable vehicle operation. I am requesting that this issue be formally investigated, as it may indicate a broader defect affecting similar vehicles. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
