On my way to work the car overheated causing me to be stranded in the middle of no where without cell service. When it got to the dealership to repaire the car, they stated that it was a cylinder head. The dearship had my car a little over a month for repairs, the dealership did finally give me a loaner for the last week of the repairs but I lost work and a client due to not having transportation. A week after receiving the car back I still had problems with a check engine light coming on occasionally with loss of power and it would go away. I did not trust the car at all.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The display system on serval occasions has been blinking on and off. I can not touch the entertainment display system and the speedometer display also malfunctions not displaying correct speed and malfunctioning the blinker light, back up camera, etc. I have videos of occurrences which I can not upload. This has happened in multiple occasions. The dates of occupancies are 6/7/26,6/17/26,7/7/26, and 7/8/26. The display even flickers when the car is turned off.

VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
using adaptive cruise control if a car comes in front of you from the side street etc the car can go from 55 to 30 in seconds and if someone is following too close or not paying attention that car can hit you in the rear . on curvy roads a car coming the other way will almost stop the car quickly annoying the driver behind you

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
I have a 2024 Chevy Trax Activ that was originally purchased in British Columbia, CA and subsequently purchased through a private dealer in New Mexico. It has just gone over the 36,000 mile warranty. The infotainment system including the speedometer will occasionally flicker and go black. Additionally the metric to US conversion of mileage will revert back to metric once the vehicle is shut off and restarted. This happens intermittently. There are also USB and Bluetooth connection issues. The vehicle does not show up under any bulletins or recalls as the origin was initially purchased in Canada. This problem has been reported to GM and Chevy customer service. How do I add this to the recall and NHTSA bulletin so I can get this repaired?

Carplay turning off during heavy travel (getting lost), going 5 minutes down the road, anytime. but phone is still connected so gps will not work properly. Screen Glitches. Heavy/thick random speaker bass noise while on phone calls and even no music. Phone trying to connect to previous forgotten phones while driving.

The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that while at a complete stop at the stop light, the instrument panel and the infotainment screen went blank momentarily. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the codes were reset. The contact stated that while driving approximately 35-40 MPH on two occasions, the instrument panel and the infotainment screen turned blank, and the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the failure lasted for few seconds. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V744000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and advised the dealer of the issue. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

AIR BAGS
Service Safety Restraint System warning light keeps coming on. I have taken it to Classic Chevrolet in Oklahoma City 6 times now for the same issue. I have opened a case with GM(XXX). I have been told that GM engineers have been on the phone with the dealership to get this repaired yet it is back in the shop at the dealership again. It has been explained to me that this warning light indicates that the air bags may not work if an accident occurs or the airbags may just deploy as I am driving down the road. That is the safety issue I am reporting. If even the GM engineers cannot fix this problem then I would say that it is a serious problem putting many people at risk. I wanted this in writing. This safety issue needs to be looked into and a recall needs to occur as I am sure I am not the only GM customer driving an unsafe 2026 Chevrolet Trax. I was driving at about 10 mph in a suburban Buffalo retail parking lot when I was T-boned by a driver coming at me perpendicular at a much higher rate of speed who hit me squarely on the driver's side front and rear door. Airbags did not deploy. Yes, my safety was put at risk. I was injured. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by dealer or anyone else. Noone has inspected the vehicle yet. There were no warning signs prior to the accident.

Was traveling to head towards the beach and all of a sudden the whole dash starts glitching then goes out for about 10-25 seconds then cuts back on like the car is powering back on. I thought maybe it had something to do with my daughter touching the radio. Well I continue to travel get down the road about another 45mins and it does it again. So I decide to turn the radio off, turn off the A/C, call the dealership and turn around and go home. Dealership checks the car, states it may have been the radio. But how when the car seem to lag/ lose power for a few seconds. That's a safety issue. Car can cut off and cause catastrophic damages. I only drive 3 miles to my job daily so I don't know if it'll happen again until this weekend when I travel to Florida. I've had Dealership to replace the antenna when I first got the vehicle because radio wasn't working. I constantly hear a clicking sound when the air is on. Dealership states they don't hear it. This model vehicle seems to have a few kinks that need to be check.

our vehicle is doing the same identical thing as other 2024 Trax that are under a recall. The dealer is wanting to charge a diagnostic fee to even look at it. This is crazy when other 2024 Trax are under the recall and get it fixed for free. INSTRUMENT PANEL BLACKOUT RECALL The issue is the Virtual Cockpit Unit intermittently goes black.

On XXX, [XXX] was applying her brakes to prepare to turn left into the fire station. Her vehicle suddenly steered to the left causing her vehicle to enter oncoming traffic. This action caused the Chevrolet Trax to collide head on with a passing vehicle. The collision resulted in 2 totaled vehicles and multiple injuries in both vehicles. It has since been brought to our attention that there is a potential class action lawsuit for similar incidents. The speedometer/instrument cluster screen went completely black at startup on XXX. I had no ability to see my speed, fuel level, or any dashboard warning lights. I was forced to pull over on a public road and restart the vehicle. This is the second screen to fail on this vehicle — the navigation screen also went black multiple times beginning in February 2026. Capitol Chevrolet dismissed both incidents without performing any diagnostic inspection or repair. Vehicle has approximately 32,950 miles and is under active bumper-to-bumper warranty. VIN: [XXX]. EXTERIOR LIGHTING
This happened the first night that I drove this brand new vehicle since owning it. While driving at night, there is what I would describe as a "Hard line" of headlight illumination on the roadway in front of the vehicle. I would describe the "hard line" as being illuminated toward the bottom and at a certain point further up, the light suddenly stops and is just a black void, creating a black line. While driving up and down roadways that have hills, there is a definitive line that the headlights do not shine on the roadway in front of the vehicle. The area ahead of this hard line is pitch black and is sometimes no more than 75 feet in front of the vehicle. This happens mainly while traveling down hills, near the bottom. As the car goes through the bottom of the hill, the area illuminated in front of the car can be even less than 75 feet. At this point the roadway beyond in front of the car is totally black. I wouldn't see this as a huge concern while driving in the city if there are street lights, but in rural areas, which is where I drive, I found this to be a major safety issue. Using the bright lights to help with illumination wasn't always an option when there was oncoming traffic or traffic directly in front of my vehicle. At times I had to slow down at the bottom of hills from the posted 60 MPH speed limit to less than 30 MPH because I couldn't see anything that may have been in the roadway in front of me.

The audio system in my 2025 Chevrolet Trax produces persistent distortion and poor sound quality at normal listening levels. I brought the vehicle to an authorized Chevrolet dealer, and they reported that a speaker was replaced, but the issue remains unresolved. The sound quality affects my ability to clearly hear navigation prompts, safety alerts, and phone calls while driving. The contact owns a 2024 Chevrolet Trax. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH with cruise control engaged. The low-pressure oil light illuminated. The driver was able to pull over. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who determined that it was 4 quarts low and replenished it. An oil compensation test was performed. The dealer found no issue. While driving, there was an abnormal banging sound. The "Pull over and turn off the engine" message was displayed. The driver noticed that there was smoke emerging from the engine. There was oil leaking from the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed as having a blown engine. A hole was located in the block due to low oil. The vehicle was not repaired due to the parts being backordered. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 41,000.

In the last 30 days of obtaining my first brand new vehicle, there have been a couple of incidents where I have put my truck in Park on an incline (hilly street or driveway), and you can hear the brakes grinding once my foot has been removed from the brake pedal. It gives the impression that the brakes have not stopped. It’s unusual to hear and in my concern, I activate the emergency park for extra security. It’s a little scary to think that the brakes won’t do what they’re designed to do.

VISIBILITY/WIPER
I have only had the vehicle 1 year and 4 months and I am already having to replace the wiper blades a for a second time. The fact that Chevrolet decided to put a wiper blades arm that no one makes adapters for except Chevrolet and the fact that I can’t just walk into an auto parts store and buy new blades is absolutely infuriating.
