As a safety recall, I did take the truck in for the airbag recall upon completion. I ran the codes and I have an airbag code. They’re saying that the dashboard was broken before they started. It was not. They broke it on installation of the new airbag.

>Exhaust fumes are returned back in to the cab of the truck. >Exhaust fumes, particularly from diesel engines, are highly dangerous, containing carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, and fine particles that can cause severe respiratory illnesses, cardiovascular disease, and cancer. Short-term exposure leads to dizziness, headaches, and nausea, while long-term exposure can be fatal or cause lasting lung damage. >Truck was taken to dealer and verified by service to be an issue. I have attached the paperwork from that appointment. >The truck was fixed by the dealer and retuned with no initial exhaust smell. The exhaust fumes have began to enter the cab of the truck again. We have contacted a new dealership service department to have the truck inspected they have given us an appointment in a week from today.

My vehicle lost reverse. It can not reverse what so ever. I was in traffic when it happened thankfully someone where there willing to help. I was told I needed a valve body, after spending 3k plus I was then told the transmission has to be replaced. And its a common thing with these vehicle losing your ability to reverse while driving is very very dangerous.

My 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 has experienced two separate major drivetrain failures — complete transmission and turbo replacements — within two years of purchase, both during peak use months. The second repair kept the vehicle in service for nine months with no ETA provided until escalation. The repeated failures have rendered the vehicle frequently unusable, caused significant business loss, and represent more than normal wear. Documentation of repairs and dates is attached.

I was driving under normal conditions and the vehicle began lurching, limiting acceleration, with an error saying "reduce acceleration". Was able to get home but the next time the truck was started there was a check engine light and the vehicle was unable to shift into reverse gear. When attempting to put it into reverse, it gives the error "conditions not correct to shift" and turn on the parking break. Trying to drive it with this issue is unsafe. The truck will lurch, limit acceleration, and overall not safe to drive. The truck only has 21k miles on it.

The contact owns a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, and the rear wheels locked up. The contact stated that the failure almost caused a crash. No warning lights were illuminated. The rear wheels locked up for several seconds, then the rear wheels released, and the tires chirped. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact referenced an unknown recall with a similar failure description; however, the VIN was not under recall. The contact stated that the vehicle was important due to scheduled doctor's appointments. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.

- #11718442February 17, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, ENGINE
I own a 2022 Chevy Silverado with a 6.2 liter engine. I had the original engine up until approx 80k in mileage when it failed, I was on a dark country road doing approximately 50mph and the propulsion system failed and the truck shut off, being a country road, I had minimum breaking and minimal steering. I had my [XXX] son in the car, we ended up in a culvert and I scraped either a large rock or a piece of concrete that sometimes line culverts, it did damage. At the time, until recently, I had no idea I should report this. I did know that GM had issued a recall and I believed the engineer would be covered, which it was. I never reported the damage to insurance as I didn't want my ins to go up anymore, so I have not fixed it yet. My [XXX] old was scared beyond belief. Anyhow, Williams Chevy in Elkton, Md replaced the engine free of any cost. I believe the dates are approx to be 9/26 to 10/25/ 2025.On or about 11/25 or 26th 2025, with approx 2k miles on the newly installed 6.2 liter engine, while traveling with my [XXX] son, I experienced another catastrophic engine failure. This time we were traveling on 896 in Delaware and rt 40. While crossing over, the car cut off completely again while traveling at 50mph. We barely avoided a collision on the other side of the intersection with merging traffic, I applied the Manuel breaks along with the power steering was out too. My spouse was angry that GM is still doing this knowing this could be the result.Upon the 2nd installation, I dropped the truck off on the above date. It took until 1/5/26 bor approx 1/9/26.On approx 2/12/26 I had the oil changed at a local jiffy lube. This was conducted at 3400 miles, less than the manufacturer suggests with the new 40w oil. Anyhow, yet again, my truck had zero rewarding on the dipstick. I have paperwork for both engine installs and the jiffy lube paperwork documenting the no reading on the dip stick.I am a disabled veteran and this is an unsafe and unreliable fix from GM. I bought this Truck in December 2023 from Honda of Ocala as a used vehicle it had 59,000 miles when I bought it. In October 24 it started smoking from the exhaust one morning as I was leaving work. I have always changed the oil on time and taken good care of the truck. I found out the lifters had failed and Honda of Ocala replaced all of my lifters on both sides around $4,000 in repairs the truck was at 73,000 miles at this time. A few months after getting it fixed the truck started smoking again and going into limp mode at 81,000 miles. I still owe $30,000 on this truck but can’t afford to keep fixing it and can’t afford to trade it in and go negative on it.

The internal components of the tailgate are damaged by water and need to be replaced. They cause the tailgate to open and close randomly. This could cause items to fall from the truck bed on to the road.
