The brake lights do not work, the turn signals do not work, there is one tail light working at the lower right rear. Front parking lights work but front turn signals so not work. The cab brake light works. The turn signal flasher works and the dashboard turn arrows work but the flasher goes to hyper flash. The emergency lights do not work, the flasher switch works. The turn signal in the mirror left or right does not work. I really do not know how long this has been going on.

I just purchased this vehicle on XXX and on XXX, with less than 300 miles on it, we were in a parking garage at the Galleria Mall in [XXX]. While driving slowly uphill in the garage looking for a parking space, the vehicle suddenly went into neutral and the engine shutoff. After verifying all was well, I restarted the truck and continued to drive. It happened two more times with the same situation, low speed going uphill. I have not taken it to a Chevy dealer yet for diagnostic as there were no lights like the check engine light and no codes presented. My onstar app reports that all is well and no issues, so I know it will not be something they can find when they try to pull the codes. I did a search on the internet for this issue and found others with the same problem, no known fix, and in one case the person was able to return the truck and they purchased a different truck from a different manufacturer. That gentleman said he did try to work with GM at the regional level with a service rep. He said something is causing the voltage to drop in lower gears, causing it to invoke a safety feature to stop the vehicle by going into neutral and shutting off the engine. On an incline, with no engine, the brakes become very hard to push and the vehicle could roll back. In a parking garage, that could mean rolling back into a person or another car. When it happens there are in internal codes that do not show up, but are wiped when you re-start. There are threads on Reddit and in Facebook groups that discuss this issue as well for further evidence. My purpose is to get this documented outside of GM, it seems like a niche problem, but one that could be dangerous in the right circumstances. Multiple times the truck has stopped running while driving. Once one the highway, once in an intersection, another time in a parking lot. It has not started when I have tried to turn it on. All the times I have called AAA. They have checked the battery and there is no battery issue. Twice AAA has come out, once the police have come and sat behind the truck to keep me safe. After about 10 minutes of the sitting with the truck off I can restart it and drive. Upon research, other Chevy trucks of similar age have a recall for a failed fuel pump module. This is the issue. If it is a known issue, and causing a dangerous situation it should be recalled on all trims of Chevy trucks. I will be getting this fixed, but don’t feel I should incur the $1,000 expense for a known defect.

I purchased a 2026 Chevrolet 1500 Duramax Deisel truck. At 9500 miles the truck started making popping and loud grinding noises and would shake while driving it. I barely made it to the dealership on August 6th 2026 I took it to Group 1 Chevrolet where I bought it in Houston,Texas and on August 8th was told that they need to replace the engine and do not have an estimated time for repair.

- #11755555August 7, 2026VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, POWER TRAIN, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
Safety Issue. The raised cruise control speed set button on the steering wheel is prone to being touched when rotating the steering wheel while making sharp turns when driving through parking lots at low speed. If the distance cruise was previously set at say 45 mph the last time it was used, and the set button is very briefly hit upward when rotating the wheel through your hands to the left, it can inadvertently cause the truck to start accelerating to that previously-set speed. The cruise button needs to be programmed such that at certain steering angles it will not respond to inputs. This is very dangerous. I ave had this happen to me at least 5 times. Hitting the brakes stopped the acceleration. I reported it to the dealer as a potential engine surge but they could not reproduce it. I just recently realized what was happening. I believe this can easily be addressed by a steering angle lockout of the button. Other issues: Drivetrain vibrates occasionally and shifts very hard (drivetrain literally slams through gear change) when leaving driving from a stop a slow speeds. Dealer cannot replicate. This diesel truck gets very poor mileage possibly from spending too much time in regeneration mode. Truck is super sensitive to fuel. Mileage varies drastically from fill up to fill up depending upon station. I believe the fuel cetane content affects regeneration in unexpected ways. I buy fuel at name brand stations but mileage varies drastically from vendor to vendor. Mileage average goes down to about 11 mpg much of the time due to time in regeneration. Dealer has no comments. I know HD trucks don't have official mileage ratings but this is just crazy. I drive light on the accelerator. Rarely achieved up to 21 mpg but average mileage runs about 11-12. I believe this to be a fault with these trucks as I have read complaints from many others. The infotainment system frequently loses all audio, including turn signal sound, nav. GM has no fix. Possibly software.

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado1500. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the tailgate unexpectedly opened. The contact stated that the failure was a recurring failure. The dealer was contacted and stated that there was a related recall for the failure; however, the recall was only for vehicles manufactured in Canada. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

On August 22, 2025 the malfunction indicator lamp (code: P146B Evap. purge pump) illuminated with no noticeable change. Ran codes at auto zone which stated engine failed and emissions not ready. August 25, 2025 drove to certified Chevy dealer dropped off vehicle and showed the service advisor the fix finder test results from auto zone as well as the illuminated indicator lamp (check engine light). August 26, 2025 picked up my vehicle with receipt stating "found dtc's P146b and P1467 stored in ECM (engine control module) for evap purge pump fault. inspected evap canister for any signs of fuel and none were found. replaced evap purge pump per special policy #N232395310. Cleared dtc and road tested vehicle to verify repair". September 9, 2025 my engine indicator light illuminated and my engine entered limp mode, a safety feature which reduces cylinder output/capacity. September 12, 2025 while in limp mode, I returned to the service dealer and informed them of the reduced power (limp mode) and my confusion as the second engine symbol that has been illuminated is in a different area than the first and my truck has ONE engine. (editor note: malfunction indicator lamp is for the emissions). My original transmission (8L90) was replace, because my vehicle was under power train warranty and the service advisor took it upon himself to approve the disassembly of my running, in good condition 8L90 transmission without consulting me or my approval. the 8L90 was "discontinued" for the 2020-2022 years without recall come to find out (sarcasm). I now have a new transmission (8L86-85) with the "special coverage" part (#N232395310) still connected, only now I have NO additional powertrain coverage for a new transmission, but the "special coverage" originally issued in 2023, BY MAIL, for 15 yr/150,000miles has extended two years plus mileage. (15 yr / 152,955) .The "special coverage" part should NOT affect the engine! Engines produce power/HEAT not CO2 . Sarbane - Oxley Act.

I own a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD equipped with the 6.6L Duramax diesel engine and Allison-branded 10 speed (10L1000) automatic transmission. VIN: [XXX]. While pulling away from a traffic light and accelerating to approximately 20 to 30 mph, the transmission suddenly began shifting harshly and erratically, experienced delayed engagement, unexpectedly downshifted, and would not shift into overdrive. At the same time, the check engine light illuminated and a Reduced Engine Power warning appeared. There were no warning lights, messages, or transmission symptoms prior to this incident. I pulled into a parking lot for approximately one hour, but when I resumed driving, the same failure occurred again. The transmission malfunction created a safety concern because the vehicle unexpectedly lost normal shifting and power while operating in traffic, making it difficult to accelerate and maintain speed safely. I contacted OnStar, which reported both an engine and transmission fault. I then drove the vehicle to my independent diesel mechanic, who diagnosed a failure of the transmission control valve body caused by an internal solenoid that is not serviceable separately, requiring replacement of the complete transmission control valve body assembly. The repair has been completed, so the original failed component is no longer available for inspection. The failure was confirmed by an independent service center. The vehicle has not been inspected by Chevrolet, law enforcement, or an insurance representative. I contacted General Motors to determine whether my VIN was included in the existing transmission control valve recall and was advised that it is not. I am submitting this complaint because my truck experienced the same symptoms and the same component failure as vehicles covered by the recall, despite my VIN not being included. Was making a left turn with a left turn street light green for me to turn across an intersection. Pickup stalled in the middle of the intersection and would not start. With the help of another person we manually pushed the pickup out of the intersection and onto another side street. I received an email at that exact time from General Motors showing a code of P129F which is the Fuel Pump Power Control Module. I am a [XXX] man stranded in 90 degree heat with no AC or shade to get under. My safety was put at risk in the above instance but more so if I had been entering IH 10 into traffic traveling 70MPH and my truck had just stopped running without any warning. This is a known problem as described in GM Service Bulletin 24-NA-139 with both the NHTSA and DOT. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

The engine in my 2026 Chevrolet Silverado ZR2 with the 6.2L V8 had a catastrophic failure. While I was driving, the engine suddenly shut off and seized without any warning. The dealer told me they found metal in the engine oil and oil filter and that the engine needs to be replaced. They also informed me the replacement engine is on back order for more than five weeks. The truck is available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My truck lost all power while I was driving, which put me and other drivers at risk because it happened without warning. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The dealer inspected the truck and confirmed the engine had an internal failure. They found metal in the engine oil and oil filter and said the engine must be replaced. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? The truck has been inspected by the dealer. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No. There were no warning lights, messages, or other signs of a problem before the engine failed.

At 70,000 miles the engine failed. Dealership said it was due to the current issues with the 6.2 motors but mine was not included in the recall but was being evaluated to be part of the recall so I did have to buy a new engine.

There was premature torque converter failure that’s has taken out the transmission unexpectedly. I was coming from a side street to get onto a main highway and as I left the stop sign the truck stalled upon take off and I was stuck half way on the highway and halfway on the side road. Until it jerked hard back into gear and pulled off. If the torque converter wouldn’t have caught in time then it could have cause a serious accident. The truck only has 95,000 miles and is a 2018 Silverado 1500 LT 4x4 with the 6l80e transmission. I had to park the truck until the following week when I could take it to dealership and they diagnosed it and quoted me for a new transmission and torque converter. Something needs to be done about these transmission as they are a serious safety concern. No police report was made since there was no accident but there definitely could have been.
