The Seatbelt Retractors failed per both of the safety belt recalls. The belts no longer function and GM refuses to provide a remedy to clear the safety recall.

WHEELS
Hello, I recently purchased my 2017 Corvette Z06 and had a GM dealership complete a complete inspection prior to taking delivery. Less than 1 month later the car developed a vibration which an independent tire shop diagnosed as one (1) cracked front wheel and one (1) bent rear wheel resulting in the vibration. I have driven less than 1k miles since inspection/purchase and the vehicle only has 29k miles total. These are the factory GM wheels which must now be replaced. I was not aware of the GM Corvette Wheel issue prior to this happening but now understand this is a widespread, systemic issue. I purchased this 2019 corvette grand sport on 3/6/2023. After I had driven it a little over 300 miles the tire statred to lose air (got a low air pressure warning). Filled it with air and got another warning again. Took the wheel off the car and inspected tire and rim. Found a weld repair had been done with another crack in the rim that look like someone tried to repair that crack. No I'm stuck without a car to drive.

The contact owns a 2012 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked inside the garage there was an abnormally strong gasoline odor coming from the vehicle. Upon inspection, there was no fuel leak visible inside the garage. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed of a Manufacturer’s Service Campaign that addressed the failed primary fuel tank flange leak, but the Extended Warranty coverage had expired. The failure mileage was 36,000.

Special Coverage Adjustment 15682 Primary Tank Module Flange Fuel and Vapor Leaks The above Special Coverage Adjustment was issued by General Motors regarding fuel leakage problem in certain Corvette and Cadillac vehicles. General Motors established a date certain for the vapor and/or fuel leakage involving a failing plastic located on the left side top of the fuel cell. Unfortunately, the condition of the platic part failing is not predicable and might not be detected within the date range GM set. My 2009 Corvette is now experiencing the issue--vapor detection which means there is a small but maybe unnoticed amount of fuel actually leaking at the top of the fuel cell. Fuel leaking in area immediately above the exhaust might well result in a fire while being driven and garaged. GM should have made repairs regardless of the Company date range. GM should make repairs regardless of when the vehicle might demonstrate a hazard situation do to a part failure.

The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated while driving approximately 45 MPH on a straight roadway, the power steering warning light illuminated, and the vehicle lost power steering functionality. The contact drove the vehicle back to his residence and turned the vehicle off. When the contact restarted the vehicle, the vehicle regained power steering functionality. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent but had reoccurred several times. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer however, the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V086000 (Steering). The failure mileage was 9,488.

Purchased the vehicle in 2015. That same purchased date I filled the vehicle with fuel. The following day my garage was totally covered with gas fumes. No tech could find the problem. On Feb 22 2023 while filling up, gas was pouring out the bottom left side . This is very dangerous. Come to find out that many others have had the same problem. There is a manufacturer defect of the gas tank housing tube . I cannot drive the vehicle because it’s to dangerous and to costly to repair.

The ignition key started the car but the car continued to stall out when the clutch was released failing to propel the car leaving me stranded with a running(ideling) but non functional vehicle.I could not move the vehicle and it was subject to traffic crash. I need to have the vehicle retrieved by the dealer for repait. It is non-operable. There weree no warnings to me on the vehicle that the p roblem existed

Low beams don't work when the engine gets hot, I was driving the other night at 10pm and the headlights went out. Pitch black and almost wrecked.......This is a know issue..... Fuel pump has small cracks in the top of driver side fuel pump could start fire, and its a know issue....... Heads on the LS7 also know valve issue. It will ruin the motor.....

The contact owns a 2005 Chevrolet Corvette. The contact stated while driving approximately 20-25 MPH down a steep hill, he depressed the brake pedal however, the vehicle failed to stop as needed. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the brakes failed. The contact stated that brake fluid was leaking from the vehicle. The contact then saw thick smoke coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic but was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not under recall and that the report would not be covered. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

The Body Control Module has failed and there are no replacement parts available except used parts. The BCM is hard coded with the VIN. If you use a BCM from another car, certain safety systems are deactivated such as the air bags. The BCM is central to the electronic architecture so all other systems are at risk. The unit can be responsible for the car not starting, the headlights not working, the power windows and door locks failing, or in my case the active suspension not functioning. Since BCM's are widely used, this is a looming major safety issue for the nation because GM quit making new ones, no one else makes these parts, no one can repair the units. I know a number of C6 Corvette owners are using used parts which deactivates the air bags and the security system.

Any level above 1/2 leaks fuel , you can see the fuel running down the side of the tank when you look under the bottom of the car. Fumes are very strong inside and out of the vehicle especially when parked in my garage

The car has yet to be inspected by a dealer. However, there is a strong odor of fuel, in the garage by the driver side of the vehicle. This has occurred on multiple occasions even when tank not at full capacity. Upon investigation, it appears as if it is similar to a reported problem with the fuel pump from multiple Corvette owners with similar make and model. Significant concern of potential fires and/or explosion around small children in the household.

ON 12/30 HAD A TIRE LOSING AIR VISITED DISCOUNT TIRE TO SEE IF TIRE HAD A LEAK THE SHOWED ME 2 CRACKS ON THE ACTUAL WHEEL. Discount tire stated my wheel must be replaced. I HAVE READ ON VARIOUS CORVETTE FORUMS HUNDREDS OF C7 OWNERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE THE WHEELS APPEAR TO DEFECTIVE. I WENT TO DEALER AND PURCHASED NEW WHEEL FOR $1100 FOR ONE WHEEL I CONTACTED GM TO TRY TO GET REIMBURSED AND THEY SAID NOPE!!! THERE IS A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT STILL PENDING

The Primary tank module flange fuel and vapor leak. Yes, it's available for inspection upon request. It's sitting at Auto Nation Chevrolet 3215 South Auto Way Gilbert since November 28, 2022. They said they're waiting for the cross over fuel line part # 10337583. Fuel leaks where the fuel pump goes into the left gas tank and can cause an explosion. Also, I had extreme fuel vapors in my garage that could have caused my house to catch fire too. No warning lamps. I filed a case with GM #9-933208951. Based on my research its recall #15682. When I phone GM they tell me my case has been transferred to another department. The latest is James at 1 866 790 5600 ext 591-0336.
