2023-2024 Audi Infotainment and Audi Connect Warranty Codes TSB

Important Notes for Owners

This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is primarily for dealer technicians and does not contain specific repair instructions for owners. Its purpose is to provide new damage codes and service number guidelines for warranty claims related to infotainment and Audi connect issues in 2023-2024 Audi vehicles.

• No Repair Instructions: This TSB explicitly states that it "does not contain any repair instructions." It focuses on how technicians should categorize and invoice problems for warranty.
• New Damage Codes: The damage codes listed in this bulletin are for use from Model Year 2023 onwards. Audi notes that "More new damage codes will be added in subsequent revisions."
• Warranty Claim Guidance: If your vehicle experiences an issue not caused by vehicle technology (e.g., mobile network problems or backend server issues), the repair must be invoiced using service number 9107. For issues where a specific control unit is determined to be the root cause, its corresponding service number (e.g., 9145, 9170, or 9196) should be used.
• Older Damage Codes: If a repair does not correspond to one of the concerns covered by the new damage codes, technicians are instructed to "continue to use damage codes 0039 and 0040."

Understanding Audi Infotainment Damage Codes

Audi has expanded its system for categorizing customer concerns related to the infotainment system and Audi connect. The previous damage codes (0039 and 0040) were often too general to describe specific issues. This TSB, 91 23 57 2068171/3, introduces a new set of damage codes to enable more precise warranty invoicing for 2023-2024 Audi infotainment damage codes.

These new codes help technicians accurately document the exact nature of an infotainment or Audi connect problem. This ensures that warranty claims reflect the true cause and condition of the customer's concern, improving diagnostic accuracy and repair tracking.

New Damage Codes and Associated Symptoms

The following table outlines the new damage codes, the specific customer concerns they address, and the underlying causes identified. These codes are crucial for accurately documenting Audi infotainment damage codes during service.

| Damage Code | Concern/Symptom | Explanation/Cause Detected | | :---------- | :------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Q: What is this TSB about for 2023-2024 Audi models? A: This Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) 91 23 57 2068171/3 provides updated instructions for Audi dealer technicians on how to properly submit warranty claims for infotainment and Audi connect issues in 2023-2024 Audi vehicles, introducing new, more specific damage codes. Q: Why did Audi introduce new Audi infotainment damage codes? A: Audi introduced new Audi infotainment damage codes because the previous codes (0039 and 0040) were often too general to accurately describe the wide range of customer concerns related to the infotainment system and Audi connect, leading to more precise warranty invoicing. Q: What are some of the new damage codes and their associated symptoms? A: New damage codes include A039 for an "Emergency call button LED is not green (SOS is Red)", A139 for "myAudi login error (Customer cannot log into myAudi in MMI)", A539 for "MMI not starting, welcome screen", and A939 for "display blue", among others, to better categorize specific Audi infotainment damage codes. Q: What should I do if my 2023-2024 Audi has infotainment or Audi connect issues? A: If your 2023-2024 Audi vehicle experiences infotainment or Audi connect issues, you should contact your authorized Audi dealer. They will use the new damage codes and service numbers outlined in TSB 2068171/3 to diagnose and process any applicable warranty claims. Q: Is this TSB a recall or a repair guide? A: No, this TSB is not a recall and it does not contain specific repair instructions for owners or technicians. It is an informational bulletin providing updated guidelines for warranty claim submissions, particularly regarding new Audi infotainment damage codes.
