The fuel pump and the fuel pump control module system failed. Before the failure, I drove my 2019 Toyota Tundra on XXX from [XXX] to [XXX] with no prior check engine light warning. It was parked for all 3 days at a campground in [XXX]. However, on XXX the vehicle would not start. The truck ignition was moved to the RUN position and then the check engine light came on, which was the first notification of a potential problem. So, I attempted to start the vehicle, there was a crank but not a start incident. The ignition was moved back to the OFF position. I'm also an experienced mechanic, so I lifted the hood to diagnose the issue and search where the malfunction was occurring. I inspected the battery, all the fuses, the relays controlling the fuel pump, and the fuel pump control module. Using a Voltmeter Tester, the battery had a full charge. The relays and the fuses were also replaced with no success in starting the vehicle. The fuel line was disconnected from the fuel rail so I could verify if fuel was getting to the engine. The truck ignition was again moved to the RUN position and then the Start Position with NO success of fuel getting to the fuel rail. The vehicle was then towed to a local auto shop and the problem has been reproduced only by Crawford Auto Repair shop in [XXX]. The auto mechanic mentioned two error codes were presented: 1. The fuel pump 2. The fuel pump control module. Thankfully, there was no immediate risk to my family's safety but it could have occurred while driving back through the [XXX] mountains on our way home. On Saturday, XXX, while driving on [XXX] toward [XXX], our 2024 Toyota Tundra (VIN: [XXX]) lost power and stalled at highway speeds with the warning: "Ignition On / Engine Off – Stop in a safe place." I made an emergency lane change with 6 vehicles trailing closely. After smoke expelled during restart attempts, Toyota Roadside towed the truck to Goldsboro Toyota at 5:15 PM. On Monday,XXX, Goldsboro Toyota exhibited negligent, misleading treatment. A receptionist falsely claimed they "ordered a new engine" for the recall and refused to release the truck to Midlands Toyota near our home in [XXX]. Despite written instructions on the intake form, we waited 7 hours with no update. On Friday, XXX, Toyota Corporate contradicted the dealer, confirming no technical remedy or engine currently exists for active federal Safety Recall 25TA14 (NHTSA [XXX]). This catastrophic engine failure created an extreme safety hazard that severely triggered my wife’s diagnosed ADHD and depression (Eggshell Plaintiff Doctrine). The dealer’s refusal to release our truck also disrupted my work during a critical corporate shareholder transition. Under the federal Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act and state breach of warranty laws, we demand a Full Manufacturer Repurchase (Buyback): 1. Full payoff of our remaining loan balance to our lender. 2. Complete refund of all out-of-pocket payments: down payment, all $824 monthly payments, sales taxes, and county fees. 3. Full reimbursement for direct expenses and tax penalties. 4. Non-economic cash settlement for severe hardship, safety risks, and aggravated emotional distress. 5. 100% coverage of all statutory attorney’s fees as required by law. Toyota seems in no hurry to resolve the engine issue. Now they are not wanting to replace these engines as first promised.. What happens where there is a catastrophic failure later on. Dealerships are no help. When were they made aware of the engine issue and continue to sell these trucks. We as truck owners need someone to be our voice.

I was driving when the car suddenly lost power and speed. The accelerator stopped working properly. Immediately, the check engine light came on for the first time on the instrument panel, along with the "Stop Parking" alert. I immediately called for a tow truck to take me to the nearest Toyota dealership.Toyota employees informed me that the transmission is damaged and needs to be replaced. I acknowledge that my 2024 Toyota Tundra has 100,000 miles.and that the factory warranty only covers up to 60,000 miles. But for such an expensive truck, it’s impossible for the transmissions to have a lifespan of only 100,000 miles.

- #11767207September 27, 2026VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL, ENGINE, POWER TRAIN
What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The electronic throttle control system (drive-by-wire) and Transmission Control Module (TCM) calibration. When accelerating from rolling stops or yields (0–10 mph), the vehicle experiences a severe dead-pedal delay with zero engine or transmission response for 1.5 to 2.5 seconds before surging forward. The unmodified vehicle is fully available for inspection. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The failure creates an immediate crash hazard during left turns across traffic, entering roundabouts, and yielding into highway merges. Pressing the accelerator to merge into traffic produces no acceleration, leaving the truck stranded across active travel lanes. Approaching cross-traffic must brake aggressively to prevent broadside/T-bone collisions. The unpredictable delay followed by an abrupt power surge severely impairs low-speed vehicle control. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. An authorized Toyota dealership service department test-drove the vehicle and confirmed the low-speed hesitation/dead pedal. The dealer stated no fix or calibration exists for this model year because the vehicle has the latest factory TCM software (prior TSBs do not apply) and designated it an "inherent operational characteristic." Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? Yes, inspected and diagnostic-scanned by certified technicians at an authorized Toyota dealer. No DTC codes were stored; the failure is in the factory throttle logic and transmission management calibration. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lamps, dash alerts, or trouble codes appeared. The symptom presented immediately at initial delivery and recurs consistently in ALL MODES

The driver's side front seat lower plastic shield/trim panel completely fractured under normal, everyday usage conditions. The material failed and cracked into sharp, jagged pieces that protrude out into the cabin entryway/exitway. While exiting the vehicle at approximately 57,00, this broke plastic snagged and nearly caused a severe puncture or laceration injury to my leg. The component houses seat controls and sits adjacent to the side airbag module. Toyota has acknowledged this design flaw in Technical Service Bulletin T-SB-0007-24, but the component has fractured into a sharp, physical hazard inside the cabin, creating an immediate risk of occupant injury. Bottomline: The factory driver-side seat panel broke into sharp pieces and caused imminent leg injury hazard during vehicle exit.

A significant rattle occurs randomly in between the frame and the rear passengar seating. We have contacted Toyota. Toyota believes it is a "normal road condition" of which would imply it happens every single mile driven. As the rattle can be startling, we have swerved by accident. In addition, Toyota has not fixed the issue and we have been in process of pursuing a settlement for faulty manufacturing. We also believe the Truck is a danger to road as this rattle may mean the frame may come off one day while driving.

- #11766277September 23, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
Vehicle: 2023 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro Hybrid, VIN [XXX], approximately 40,000 miles. The electronic fuel door release failed due to a corroded fuel door sensor/connector (diagnosed by Premier Toyota, XXX). When the fuel door system does not engage, the tank's refueling valve does not open. As a result, gasoline spits back out of the filler neck during refueling, spilling fuel onto the vehicle and the ground. This creates a fire hazard at fuel stations. Many other owners of 2022-2024 Tundra Hybrid trucks report the identical failure. I believe this is a manufacturing defect in a sealed electrical component that creates a fuel-spill safety risk. When using the cruise control and lane keeping system the truck will jerk into oncoming traffic and try to swerve off to turning lanes. I took it to Toyota and they couldn't find any problem. no warning lights or any indication of a problem shows on the dash. At this point the system is unusable. I have seen many post of similar incidents on the internet.

When I was driving the engine failed . I have a 2024 hybrid, they are fixing the engine and parts but my frustration is 2024 gas tundra had a recall on the engine and they got a whole new engine with extra warranty , and I'm the first hybrid to have engine fail and since they haven't put a recall out I only get 1 year warranty and they are just replacing the parts not the whole engine . I'm concerned it can happen again past the one year warranty . They need to put out a recall on the hybrids too

The vehicle is a 2018 Toyota Tundra and failed state inspection at an authorized dealership due to the power steering rack and pinion assemble leaking at both ends. This is the same failure described in Toyota recall 21V920000, but Toyota claims my VIN is not covered. This is a severe safety issue occuring preamturley at 54,000 miiles.

When driving on the freeway at 70mph speeds during rush hour, I lost all power to the vehicle causing me to have to immediately pull to the side of the freeway with minimal control of the vehicle. I had to come to a complete stop on the freeway putting myself and others at high risk for a high speed crash. There were no warning lamps just a full system failure. There are recalls on certain VIN numbers for the Denso Low Pressure Fuel Pump and a class action lawsuit settlement that resulted in Customer Support Program 23TE05 but when I called Toyota they said my VIN did not qualify.

On August 21, 2026, I was driving South on US HWY 281 going approximately 70 miles per hour in the middle lane. Approximately near mile marker 540, the engine shut off and the truck rapidly decelerated. I luckily navigated the truck off the highway in heavy traffic. I attempted to restart the engine and it would not start. I had the truck towed to Shottenkirk Toyota and they diagnosed it as failed main crank bearings.

My 2005 Toyota Tundra 4x4 Toyota’s frame is completely rusted out, with large rust holes in the frame. At 88,000 miles & is unsafe to drive. Many other people who have the same make and model are having the same problems. Toyota had a recall on the frame but I missed it as I have had a heart attack and kidney failure. I have reached out to multiple dealerships and Toyota’s main customer support in 2022 and even in the last week.. They refuse to do anything.
