NHTSA 25V-767 indicates potential issue with manufacturing debris in the engine potentially resulting in engine failure. Recall Status indicates "remedy not yet available". It has been over 4 months (11/6/25 to 3/19/26) since this safety recall was filed. This has been an unreasonably long time and Toyota should be compelled to initiate the remedy immediately and provide a detailed explanation as to why it is failing to meet its own code of conduct with respect to product safety and the law.

My vehicle is equipped with the same V35A-FTS 3.4L Twin-Turbo V6 engine and #1 main bearing assembly that is currently under federal recall for catastrophic engine failure (Recalls 24V-381 and 25V-767). Despite the shared mechanical defect of machining debris and bearing tolerances, Toyota has excluded the i-FORCE MAX Hybrid models based on the assumption that the electric motor provides sufficient 'limp home' capability. I believe this is a critical safety oversight, as a sudden internal combustion engine seizure at highway speeds creates an unpredictable loss of motive power that a small hybrid battery cannot safely manage in high-speed traffic. I am filing this to urge the NHTSA to expand the recall scope to include hybrids, as the primary power source is fundamentally defective and prone to stalling without warning

The contact owns a 2024 Toyota Tundra. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V322000 (EXTERIOR LIGHTING) and 25V767000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle jerked and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The vehicle stalled and was restarted. No warning lights were illuminated. The contact stated that for the rest of the day while the vehicle was stopped and the accelerator was depressed, the vehicle jerked and failed to accelerate as intended and then stalled. The failure reoccurred approximately ten times the same day. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The vehicle was not inspected or diagnosed. The vehicle remained at the dealer unrepaired. The contact stated that when the vehicle was taken to the dealer for maintenance, the contact informed the dealer of the issues. The vehicle was not inspected. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 15,000.

I am reporting a recurring safety issue with the power windows on my 2023 Toyota Tundra. Specifically: 1.The driver-side window and front passenger-side window have stopped moving partway during operation. The window halts halfway, the window becomes stuck and cannot be closed even when attempting to push the window up manually with my hands. 2.The problem has occurred with two separate windows on the same truck. 3.This behavior has occurred under normal operating conditions and appears similar to reports from other 2023 Tundra owners, suggesting a possible design or manufacturing defect. 4.The issue could pose a safety risk, as the window may trap fingers, limbs, or objects unexpectedly, or fail to close during adverse weather or security situations. Actions Taken: •I have taken the vehicle to a Toyota dealer for inspection and attempted repairs. •The dealer has documented the issue in service records, but the problem has occurred in a different window. Additional Notes: •I am aware of multiple owners experiencing the same issue with 2023 Tundras. •I am submitting this complaint to request that NHTSA investigate the potential defect and assess whether a formal recall or safety advisory is warranted.

While driving my 2022 tundra my reverse indicator light and back up camera began flashing while approaching an intersection. I stopped at the intersection to wait for the green light for a left turn onto the highway. I shifted into park and then back into drive but reverse indicator and camera kept flashing. After completing my left turn and accelerating to approximately 40 mph I heard a loud bang and my rear wheels locked causing me to slide sideways narrowly missing other vehicles next to me. After a second the wheels started spinning normally. The reverse indicator and camera continued flashing. After slowing I turned my hazard lights on and slowly drove the vehicle directly to the Toyota dealership. I told them what happened and provided a video of the flashing light and screen. I told them that the truck was no longer safe to drive and that I was fortunate that I didn’t cause an accident. They ran diagnostics on the vehicle which had many error codes for various modules. They have cleared the codes and are requesting that I take the vehicle back. They reported that they could not replicate and no repairs were made. I don’t think the vehicle is safe to drive with the possibility of it happening again in a more dangerous location at speed or with my family in the vehicle.

The vehicle is affected by a manufacturer safety recall # 25TB14 related to the engine. A loss of motive power while driving at higher speeds can increase the risk of a crash. Because of this I have stopped driving the vehicle. According to the recall, The manufacturer has stated that the fix will require replacement of the engine assembly, but the remedy is not yet available and no expected remedy or repair time is given. The vehicle has been inspected by a dealer, who confirmed that the recall applies but could not perform a repair, provide a timeline, or confirm that the vehicle is safe to drive while waiting for the remedy. The manufacturer acknowledged a manufacturing defect and the possibility that the issue could occur without warning. There is no clear safety guidance from the manufacturer, and no loaner vehicle provided. The concern also remains that the vehicle could unexpectedly lose power or stall, putting the driver and others at risk.

While offloading my truck after getting back from vacation and with all the windows rolled down I noticed smoke coming out of the cab of my truck. Not know what it was or why smoke was coning from the inside of my truck I went to investigate and notice the top of the rear seat was melting and smoking. Absolutely no reason why that material should have started to melt and smoke. Outside temperature at the time was 64 degrees Fahrenheit. Only thing that I could think of was the light / reflection of the sun from our upstairs bedroom window. It is just a standard glass window so don't see how that would cause the material to melt, smoke and it absolutely looked like it was about to light up. I have an actual video of it smoking but website will not let me upload it.

After stopping at a stop sign and waiting for a clearance, the truck did not respond to throttle input for what felt like 2-3 seconds. The temperature was about 80 degrees, and I had already been driving for 30 minutes when this happened.

I own a 2025 Toyota Tundra 1794 with the 3.4L twin-turbo engine. The engine failed at approximately 53,000 miles while I was driving on the freeway in Houston, Texas. I was traveling at highway speed when the engine suddenly lost power and the truck became unsafe to continue driving. I had to pull over to the shoulder of the freeway with traffic moving at high speed. My [XXX] daughter was in the vehicle with me at the time. The sudden loss of engine power at highway speed created a serious safety hazard because it left the vehicle disabled in active freeway traffic. The vehicle had been properly maintained with regular oil changes and normal driving conditions. After the failure the truck had to be towed to the Toyota dealership, which I had to pay for out of pocket. The dealership performed an engine teardown that took about one week. They informed me that the engine block and most internal components that come into contact with oil will need to be replaced. The dealership told me the failure is not currently related to the existing Toyota Tundra engine recall. The truck is currently at the dealership and they estimate approximately 30 days to complete the repair. The dealer also informed me they have multiple Toyota Tundra trucks waiting for engine repairs and that no truck loaner vehicles were available. My understanding is that a Toyota case number has been opened for this failure and that the diagnostic details are recorded in that report. I am concerned that sudden engine failures at highway speed represent a serious safety risk INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

This is a leased vehicle through Enterprise. We have had a recall on the reverse lamps since 7-17-2025. Every time our driver take the vehicle in for service they say the parts haven't arrived or they cant get them to replace. There was no wreck or damage to the vehicle its just a simple recall we are trying to get fixed.

The engine lost complete power. This is a 2024 Toyota Tundra I=Max Force Hybrid. The low Oil Pressure, Hybrid Malfunction, Check Engine lights all came on. i lost all power, steering, brakes, and had no Hybrid assist. I was nearly hit from the back. I was able to get help from people to push it out the highway. There was no warning prior to this happening. I have read about all the engine problems from the 22 and 23 year models and recalls are out. There are no recalls for the Hybrid 2024 engines, but this looks the same as what i am reading.

Front end alignment is incorrect from Toyota factory. This is reflected in the service campaign 24TD01 for this vehicle. Toyota refuses to fix the problem, stating the campaign has expired. The alignment causes premature uneven wear of the tires, which is a safety problem. The 24TD01 campaign document states the dealer should complete the service prior to sale. Marietta Toyota DID NOT complete this service on my vehicle before sale.

My Tundra has been having lagged throttle after takeoff for a few months now going into 2026. My truck is slightly over 50k Miles and did well for the first 40k Miles. Last week it went limp and gave a loss of Power Warning and Check engine light came on. Then the very next day a parking brake assist warning came on. I brought it to the dealer and after 4 days they couldn't replicate the warning light but seen that the Turbo had failure. They said they could not change the Turbo since theres an active Engine recall on my truck. My truck is sitting at the dealer with no committed date or fix for when my engine will be replaced. Not sure what to even do as im paying on a truck i cant even drive. Aside from this major issue ive had two window motors replaced and a non working hamstring leg rest motor. They instead offered to sell me a new 2026 which felt sleazy on their part. I will not be staying with my 2023 Tundra if and when i get it back knowing we only get a 1 year warranty and crate engines are already failing. Toyota is treating their faithful clients horribly on this issue they caused. Id go as far as saying this should be part of the Lemon Law act and more needs to be done.

See attached document for complaint. 100,000 Toyota Tundras have been recalled for Engine defects that require engine replacements. Toyota recall letter directed me to contact my dealer for engine replacement information. I have been to Toyota of Cedar Park, Texas three times just to find out if there is a schedule that will let me know when my truck will be serviced for engine replacement. The answer was no. More questions and no answers. How many have been completed to date? Are the 2022 Tundras completed? No answer. Any idea as to when my engine will be replaced? No answer I contacted the Toyota Brand Engagement Center in Plano, Texas. My notice stated that if I needed further assistance to contact them. They could not answer any of my questions and did not know when a remedy would be available. A loss of drive power while driving can increase the risk of a crash. Why would the NHTSA allow 100,000 vehicles with defective engines to operate on the road with the risk of crash? The issue was identified in 2022 or four years ago. Why does the Toyota letter say we will notify you again when we identify a remedy. The remedy has already been identified by Toyota of Japan. They have approved replacements of engines. How long is a reasonable time for consumers to have to wait to resolve this issue? I do not feel confident driving a vehicle that can lose power at any time. Automakers have more rights that consumers. I paid a premium for this Toyota Truck. No new trucks should be allowed to be sold until these defective trucks are repaired. In my last visit to the dealership they offered me $27,000 dollars less than what I paid for my truck. I think the devaluation is due to these recalls. As stated earlier, I write this letter because Toyota has failed or is unable to remedy two defects within a reasonable time. I am requesting assistance from the NHTSA to hold Toyota accountable for these defective engines. I would like to know when my engine is going to be replaced.

- #11721629March 3, 2026TIRES
I have 23k miles on the vehicle and the tires have prematurely failed. I have gone to Toyota and they have referred me to Falken as they do not handle tire wear issues. In reviewing with Falken, this is a common issues with Toyota and they are blaming the fact that Toyota sold the Tundra's out of alignment to customer, resulting in significant tire wear on outer edges and on flat surface tread of tires. I have again escalated this with Toyota but they will not take ownership and neither will Falken. I am at a loss and I cannot believe that a tire would already need to be replaced at such low mileage. This tire should not be put on anyone's vehicle if it cannot be verified as offering any kind of warranty, resulting in unsafe conditions.
