engine "spun a bearing" while driving on highway, car began shaking and was very unresponsive. This is the 1.5l, turbo 3 cylinder engine that appears to have had reported issues before. Would like to have documented in case of future recall or class action lawsuit.

The engine frequently will not change gears (has happened several times). I have to pull over; turn the engine off, then restart the car in order for the gears to properly change.

Driving on street when second row, passenger window literally exploded. No other cars near by, no impact of any kind…it simply exploded as if it were shot at. I actually called police and they said this did not happen. There are MANY reports on internet of similar occurrences to other people. Nissan accepts no responsibility.

On numerous occasions, my roof was leaking right at the A pillar. This water was getting right into the side air bag, as well as where the electronics for speakers are. The vehicle spent almost 13 weeks at the dealership and took lots of trial and error to finally find the issue. It was eventually found to be the service bulletin issue in the roof rail. My concern is silicone sealant could fail, causing this to leak again. Who knows what mold or rust issues may be hiding inside, causing structural concern over time. The fact that these vehicles have this well known issue but have not been recalled yet is concerning.

CVT Low Power light came on 9/10/24. I had it at the dealer within 15 mins. On 9/12/24 I was told I need a new engine. The dealer refused to give details to me and extended the warranty on 9/16/24 as to how/what the exact issue was. The extended warranty closed the case because of this. The dealer told me they declined it and refused to repair it. He suggested that since the car is drivable, I could take it. I spoke with the extended warranty myself to see why. They stated they didn't deny it but closed it because the dealer needed to demonstrate what was wrong with the engine. The advisor eventually told me that all 3 cylinders had low compression. I requested they contact the extended warranty company and have them come again and they demonstrate that to the inspector. On 9/23/24 a request was made for another inspector to check my vehicle. 9/27/24 I called the extended warranty company to see if there was a report from the new inspector. They explained that the dealer showed them the low compression and the next step would be to break the engine down to find the source of the problem because it may not need an entire engine. I made it to the dealership a few hours later to extend my rental and get an update from the advisor. He told me the warranty company was still refusing to do the work. He suggested that since the car was drivable, I should take my vehicle. His only suggestion was to drop the oil pan and see if any metal fell out. This would've been $170-$200. I asked if that would resolve the issues with my vehicle. He stated not necessarily. On 9/27/24 around 4 PM, I requested to have my car moved to the front of the dealership because I had a tow truck on the way. He refused to have the vehicle moved. In the close-out ticket, he stated that the warranty company and customer denied repairs. which is false. No lights/messages ever came on. When I'd bring it for a service, I'd explain it was loud and vibrating. They'd always tell me everything was fine.

I purchased the car used 3 weeks ago, still under full Nissan Warranty. 10 days ago, while driving, unexpectedly, engine started knocking loudly and then shut down. My granddaughter was driving, and was unable to restart. The Nissan dealer had performed a "health check" of the car a week prior and noted no concerns. And the dealer who sold me the car did the same, before selling it to me. Car was towed to the Nissan dealership. The engine is completely blown and there were metal chips in the oil pan. The Nissan dealership is awaiting authorization from Nissan to replace the engine and any other system impacted. It's going to take weeks to repair.

The contact owns a 2021 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while his daughter was driving approximately 65 MPH, there were several unknown warning lights illuminated on the instrument cluster. The vehicle was losing motive power. The contact stated that his daughter depressed the accelerator pedal, and the vehicle continued to lose motive power. The contact stated that his daughter pulled over to the side of the highway and turned off and restarted the vehicle several times and was able to regain normal vehicle functionality. The contact drove the vehicle to a local dealer. The dealer diagnosed the vehicle and retrieved DTC code: C1210-97 (AWD systems failure); however, when the dealer rescanned the vehicle, the code was not showing on the test results. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 23,000.

Since i Financed my car is have been hearing cracking sounds when turning the steering wheel. I reached out to dealership several times and kept being told someone will contact me. Over months and several calls no help was giving. I went to dealership and made someone come out to check my car noise. They made me take it back another day to be fixed they said it was the break back plate turns out I get car back noise stated again. I called again took back again they said it was rear strut part was on backorder so had to wait weeks for part. Took it back on 9/17 as they take the old strut out another piece they claimed crumbled into pieces my car stayed overnight as they had to order part. 9/18 i get a call they fixed it test drove but still hears cracking sounds. Now they saying it's the tire rod on front drivers side where I originally stated I hear the cracking sounds. How can a 2021 rogue with 23k miles when I purchased from Nissan dealership have a bad tire rod. I've done research just now and see my nissan isn't only one. I believe this is something that should be looking into with this yr model nissan. The dealership also should of addressed this issue back when I 1st bought the car and informed them about it. Almost 7 months now driving with a bad tire rod with my family in the car.

I had to have the bars on top of my vehicle replaced due to a flapping noise. The dealership told me that the bars were broken. After replacing the bars, the roof began to leak and now the liner on the a-pillar has a water stain on it. The radio has static and my phone has little to no service. Due to everything being wet. If the moisture gets on wires if could cause a fire. There’s also strong gas fumes that leak from the tank and inside the cabin smells terrible for several days. I have to ride with the windows down. My dealership knows of this, but tells me the warranty is up. I have 52,000 miles on my vehicle now.

The rear windshield of my Nissan Rogue exploded out. The car was off and parked. While I was drive, prior to incident, I had the defroster on. After I heard the loud “pop” sound, I walked over to car and heard the glass sizzling! There was a huge hole and some small holes, as well as cracks along the edge of the entire rear windshield.

While traveling down the road in drive my vehicle failed to accelerate. I would press on the gas pedal and car wouldn’t go any faster. I had to come to a complete stop on the highway put the car in park then back in drive and then it was fine. This has happened many times and is very unsafe.

My backup camera was intermittent and then stopped working. Had extended warranty and got backup camera replaced. Worked for 2 weeks than was intermittent again. Brought back into dealership and was told that it was the wiring harness inside the back tailgate that was the issue. In order to fix the whole back tailgate of my 2021 Rogue SV AWD had to be replaced. Camera only works 2% of the time. Nissan won't take care of the problem.

I recently experienced “safe mode” in my 2022 Nissan Rogue while driving on the highway at 80mph. My car suddenly lost power and would not accelerate or brake. I had to have my vehicle towed off the side of the highway as it was not drivable. My car is currently under diagnostic at Nissan where they are unable to reproduce the error codes. They notified me of $4,000 in repairs that would be covered by Nissan but they are unsure that will fix the problem. My car is knocking while driving, vibrating upon attempt of acceleration and shuttering at idle.

At 8:00 PM, driving 70 MPH on [XXX] from Dallas to Houston, Texas, multiple warning lights and messages illuminated on the dash. Other than a low fuel warning, there were no other warnings or messages at the time of the incident. The warnings and messages displayed were "AWD Error", AEB system OFF, RAB system OFF, slip indicator or VDC OFF, master warning light, and "Engine Malfunction Power reduced Service now." When this occurred, the vehicle began decelerating, and I was unable to accelerate and return to highway speeds. I was driving in the left lane and had to make my way to the shoulder on the right of the highway. Fortunately, I came to a stop approximately two miles from the [XXX] exit for Centerville, Texas. It would have been extremely dangerous to remain on the shoulder, especially after sunset, so after reading the owner's manual, I decided to travel the shoulder at the very reduced speed my vehicle allowed. After exiting to a safe location and refueling, I called 24/7 Nissan roadside assistance at 8:50 PM. I was told a tow truck would arrive around 10:20 PM, and I would receive text messages with status updates. I called three more times, at 9:32, 11:28, and 11:54 PM. I never received a text message because no towing providers were ever located and dispatched to my location. On the final call at 11:54, I was told they would try again at 8:00 AM. Centerville, Texas is a small town with a population under 1,000 people. I was left stranded nearly 150 miles from home in a non-major metropolitan city without ample resources such as uber to take me to the nearest hotel. Furthermore, had I not called back, no one from Nissan was going to inform me that I would not receive a tow.
