I drove my car home, turned it off, went into my house to change, went to leave approximately 30 min later and the car wouldn’t start. Brought to Nissan dealership. Who indicated that multiple u1000 codes stored due to no communication with ecm. Burning smell from ecm connector and fans on high. Required ecm. They then further stated ipdm fuses had blackened, ipdm inoper. The ecm was covered by warranty but the ipdm was not covered. Blackening seems to be indicative of burning.

The check engine light was coming on and our mechanic assessed that the "transmission is slipping". He believed it was under warranty and told us to take it to the Nissan dealer. Nissan confirmed that the transmission/cvt needed replacement; however it was no longer under warranty. In Stringer v. Nissan North America, a settlement was reached in a class action lawsuit alleging that the CVT transmissions in Rogues from 2014 - 2018 were faulty. Nissan admitted no wrongdoing, but extended the warranty for replacement to 84,000 miles. My Nissan has 87,000 miles and both the local and National Nissan organizations refused to fix the problem. The problem with my car mirrors what the complaint in the class action lawsuit entails: there are severe delays when trying to accelerate and the engine revs. Both Nissan and our mechanic confirmed the problem. Both the local and national Nissan confirmed the issue with CVT, but said that our mileage made us ineligible. The problem did not start for us until last month when my car was already over 84,000 miles. I noticed the slow acceleration and revving noise in August, but my car had been inspected in July and our longtime mechanic found no issues. The engine malfunction light did not go on until Labor Day weekend 2022 when we had travelled out of state. I travel 54 miles, many of which are on the highway, each direction to work and I am extremely concerned for my safety. A new transmission will cost over $5,000 and I am incredulous that Nissan knows their transmission is faulty but is refusing to remedy the situation.

The vehicle has a CVT issue that causes the error code P17F1. The vehicle has 143K plus mileage as a result Nissan doesn't was to fix it. The car stalls while in motion and has to be stopped and restarted presenting a huge safety concern. The sad part is Nissan knows about this quality issue and there was no recall to fix it. Now they are using the high mileage as the reason to not fix the problem. On 10/2/2022, while the following traffic, the car stalled and nearly cause a pill up if the driver behind me wasn't smart enough to divert quickly to another lane. Please I need help.

Safety issue in passenger seat airbag, continuing/multiple occurrences. “Passenger airbag off” warning has been coming on at every startup, with a passenger in seat. Have to stop, turn ignition off & back on, and usually resets after 7 second wait. No amount of waiting resets it. Dealer said switch in seat is defective, requires seat replacement at our cost, yet problem is most likely NOTP in seat, IS in controller, as evidenced by ability to reset via ignition).

Driver’s side airbag warning, airbag not functional. Airbag function alert light (flashing) came on with every vehicle start, and continues during car operation. There have been no impacts, dash services or events since car was new, that might cause alert. Dealer says defective parts in airbag harness and sensor need to be replaced, at our cost.

Nissan knowingly manufactures vehicles with defective transmissions. This has been well documented as it has been the subject of several class-actions suites. Unfortunately, I was unaware of this issue until my own Transmission failed a week ago. Driving, even short distances became very dangerous, as the vehicle would suddenly fail to accelerate or shift into the proper gears.

- #11488324October 7, 2022ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, EXTERIOR LIGHTING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
The automatic emergency braking system on my 2019 Nissan Rogue will come on and stop the car dead in its tracks for no reason or no obstruction in the way that should cause this to happen. I feel it is very unsafe as this has now happened to us while driving three times. and one day the warning indicator lights came on, but they don't stay on. It has been checked at Bristol Honda dealership in Bristol TN. and they did confirm that there is a malfunction with the brakes, however they also said they can't fix the problem, and we just purchased the vehicle from them May 30, 2022, just 4 months ago. also, the bright lights turn off and won't stay on but according to the dealership they turn off because it is too bright outside, which is absurd since I only use bright lights at night when it is dark. I feel this is very unsafe and could be deadly if not repaired or replaced.

Water is entering the vehicle thru a body seam that is causing the wire harness to corrode. These vehicles have had this problem since they rolled off the assembly line and Nissan knows this. On November 14, 2014 Nissan put out this service bulletin detailing how to diagnose and fix the Rogue that was brought in for service due to the carpet being wet on the driver and/or front passenger floor. It seems that when the vehicle was assembled, some body seams were not sealed correctly or not at all. In my opinion this is why the wire harness is getting wet causing it to corrode. Instead of recalling the vehicle for the real issue of water getting into the vehicle and fixing that problem, they are recalling the vehicle for the problem the water is causing. In my opinion the water entering the vehicle is the cause of the recall and should be addressed appropiately and not just by inspecting the wire harness for corrosion and applying their bandaid to the solution. Below you will find information related to the service bulletin I am referring too. While I am driving my car will beep and say malfunctioning and drop the please power as I push on the peddle, and it's hard for me to gain more speed as the speed limit increases. If I am to slow down or stop at a red light then start to go again my car takes a few minutes to get to the speed limit it's like the car has bo power going it is. Today I pulled into fhe road after leaving a store and was only going 3 miles an hour my car did not want to go this is berry dangerous to be driving this way. The part is on back order and can't get it to fix the problem, my mechanic said if it's not fixed it could cause other problems like cause my Cadillac converter to go. This should be recalled if it's in such high demand and this should be on Nissan if I can't buy the part to fix my car it's verry unsafe and needs to be fixed

- #11487363October 1, 2022SERVICE BRAKES
The car starts beeping and the Red brake warning comes on. The beeping is continuous and at that point the brakes get stuck and stop working. My safety was compromised in that my car brakes failed while I was in traffic and I almost hit the Fedex truck in front of me. I knew something was wrong because 2 days before I had just replaced brand new brakes in my car This problem first appeared on September 28th. My car was bought brand new and has never had a problem. Car was towed to Nissan, they inspected and said the problem is the Recall issue since the symptoms are the same and they could not do anything about it because recall repair has not been released by Nissan. I took my car home and drove it the next day and exactly the same problem happened again. The brakes failed right in the middle of traffic again. Warning brake sign comes on, warning car with spanner comes on and then car beeps continuously non-stop and the brakes stop working right in the middle of driving.

- #11487328September 30, 2022FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
In March 2022, the vehicle’s AEB suddenly engaged for no reason while I was making a left turn at an intersection. Only luck prevented a serious accident. I was able to roll the vehicle to a side road since it shut off. Vehicle was not able to start again after that and had to be towed. Vehicle was taken to the dealership for repair. They claimed to have repaired the entire CPU and replaced parts. They claimed the battery was loose and due to its movements may have pulled. Invoice they provided says otherwise as an AV unit was replaced and a “voluntary recall” for a software update. The car was picked up and costs were covered under warranty. I noted immediately that the vehicle appeared to be operating better. Including sensors and alerts I was unaware the vehicle had. This of course meant the vehicle was sold to me with bad software which it appeared they fixed. Fast forward to September 30, 2022 and once again the software is demonstrating a malfunction. Once again the vehicles AEB sensors are not working, the vehicle is throwing the same codes it has a few months prior. The vehicle will not start. This is a serious safety issue as had I been driving it, the vehicle would’ve again slammed on the brakes in traffic.
