The failure involves the AWD drivetrain system, specifically the rear differential assembly and previously the electromagnetic AWD coupler. The vehicle developed significant shuddering and vibration during acceleration from a stop and while turning at low speeds. A Nissan dealership has confirmed metal contamination within the AWD system and recommended replacement of the rear differential. The vehicle has not yet been repaired and is available for inspection upon request. This condition creates unpredictable acceleration and hesitation, particularly when entering traffic or making turns. The vehicle does not respond consistently to throttle input, which poses a safety risk by limiting the driver’s ability to accelerate as expected and avoid potential hazards or collisions. The issue has been confirmed by both an independent mechanic and a Nissan dealership. The independent mechanic identified abnormal debris during fluid service and suspected a drivetrain issue. The dealership later confirmed excessive metal contamination in the AWD system. The vehicle has been inspected by an independent mechanic and a Nissan dealership. The manufacturer has not physically inspected the vehicle but has been contacted through Consumer Affairs. No warning lights or messages appeared. Symptoms began around November 2025 at approximately 80,000 miles and have progressively worsened.

Subject: Safety Complaint and Recall Concern – 2022 Nissan Rogue Engine Failure and Resulting Consumer Harm (VIN: [XXX] ) To Whom It May Concern, I am submitting this complaint to report a catastrophic engine failure involving my 2022 Nissan Rogue (VIN: [XXX] ), and to request review of potential safety and recall-related concerns. In November 2025, while I still owned and was actively financing this vehicle, it experienced a sudden and complete engine failure attributed to an engine control module (ECM) / engine-related issue. This failure rendered the vehicle inoperable without warning. At the time of failure, I was not informed by the dealership of any existing or potential recall, defect investigation, or manufacturer responsibility that may have applied to this condition. I was advised that the vehicle was no longer viable and was directed into purchasing a replacement vehicle. As a result, approximately $17,958.15 of remaining debt from the failed Rogue was rolled into the financing of a replacement vehicle, creating significant and ongoing financial harm. I have since become aware of recalls and defect investigations affecting Nissan Rogue vehicles in this model range, including conditions involving engine failure risks that may require inspection, repair, or replacement at no cost to the consumer. My concerns are as follows: 1. Whether the engine failure I experienced is related to known defects or recall conditions involving the Nissan Rogue. 2. Whether adequate notice, disclosure, or remedy information was available or communicated to consumers and dealerships at the time of my vehicle failure. 3. Whether this failure represents a broader safety issue that may affect other drivers. 4. Whether consumers may be incurring avoidable financial harm due to lack of awareness of recall-related remedies. This failure created both a potential safety risk and significant financial consequences that I believe may have been preventable if INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA

I have been dealing with a loud grinding noise at low speeds when braking since 3 months after purchase. We have been to the dealership multiple times over the issue. The dealership can hear the noise but are unable to fix the problem. I fear it’s a safety issue and may cause brake failure as it’s super loud especially on steep hills. Rotors have been resurfaced and brakes replaced.

- #11735161May 1, 2026ENGINE, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
On March 25th the dealership said our car was on a recall for R25E2 the dealership performed the ECM software update fix at this time. On April 30th 2026 the engine suffered catastophic failure. The heat stopped working the car was not showing hot the dial was at 1/4 it is usually at 1/2. The oil light flashed my husband lost power steering and it died at a 4 way stop. There was so much white smoke coming out the tailpipe he thought it was going to catch fire. The dealership is saying the car is not under the recall because they "fixed" the software. There were no warning lights or anything the only warning was the heat not working. He only made it 8 miles past out house before this happened. The software failed to protect the hardware from the safety defect. The dealership said the head gasket blew from overheating but they are saying it is not the recall they dont know the reason even though my husband and I have stated our car was affected by this recall or they would not have completed the ECM software update which clearly is a failed remedy. January of 2026 The front radar sensor bracket is deformed/bent causing forward collision avoidance system to completley fail. Despite no impact damage to the front bumper, the dealer and third party warranty are denying the claim as an accident. This failure occured during the january ice storm in Georgia Nissan TSB NTB23-011C identifies ice build up behind the fascia as a cause for bracket deformation. This is a known design flasw that disables the safety systems including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, forward collison warning and automatic emergency braking. My car only has 46,000 miles all of these systems should not be failing.

The contact owns a 2023 Nissan Rogue. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle made an abnormal clicking sound. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where the contact was informed that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V080000 (Engine and Engine Cooling), and the dealer agreed to replace the engine free of charge. After the vehicle was returned to the contact, the engine started shuddering while driving at various speeds. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and the contact was informed that the engine mount was defective and needed to be repaired. The contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and agreed to cover the cost of the part needed to repair the vehicle; however, the cost of labor was at the owner's expense. The contact was also informed that the vehicle needed to be serviced by an authorized Nissan dealer. A case number was provided. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 64,000.

4/8/26 I took my car to a Nissan dealership for low coolant issues. I agreed to pay a 225 diagnostic fee. Nissan held my vehicle for 2 days eventually giving me the car back stating nothing was wrong. The car was returned to me in worse condition than before with white smoke and starting was rough. I called them to inform them as well as making a new appointment. They did a 2nd diagnosis allegedly. Now I need an entire engine and they have active recalls for the same year model for the exact same issues but won’t consider my car to be part of the recall. They allowed me to continue to drive my vehicle when it obviously needed repairs. Nissan is accepting zero responsibility! I need assistance.

I am seeking reimbursement for an out-of-pocket repair for a Throttle Body replacement (October 2025) that is now covered under Nissan Safety Recall R25E3. Despite providing the invoice, proof of payment, and the recall completion notice, the representative [XXX] , Case #XXX) has verbally denied the claim. Furthermore, the representative refused to provide a written determination, insisting on phone calls only. This was a documented manufacturing defect (internal gear failure), and I am requesting Nissan honor their safety recall policy and refund my repair costs. My vehicle originally underwent an engine replacement performed by the dealership under a manufacturer recall. The engine was replaced at no cost to me. However, only two days after receiving the vehicle back from the dealership, the transmission failed. The dealership has since stated that they cannot determine whether the transmission was already failing or whether damage may have occurred during the engine replacement process. Specifically, they indicated there is uncertainty surrounding whether work performed during the engine installation may have contributed to a wiring harness melting, which may have affected transmission operation. Despite acknowledging that fault cannot be determined, Nissan Corporate has offered to cover only 50% of the transmission replacement cost, leaving me responsible for $3,112. This partial payment offer was communicated through Walker Jones Nissan. I do not believe it is reasonable for me to bear half of this expense under the circumstances for the following reasons: • The transmission failure occurred only two days after a major recall repair performed by the dealership. • Prior to the engine replacement, the vehicle was operating without transmission failure. • The dealership has admitted uncertainty as to whether their repair work contributed to the issue. • I have been without my vehicle for approximately two months while this situation remains unresolved. • During this time, I have continued making loan payments and maintaining insurance coverage despite having no use of the vehicle. Given the timing of the failure immediately following recall service and the dealership’s inability to rule out repair-related causes, I respectfully believe full coverage of the transmission repair is warranted as a matter of fairness and customer responsibility.

I owned this car for less than 2 years and it's already costing $700.00 to have a EGR valve failure. This seems to be a big problem with these SUV's and I just don't no how this is not covered under the warranty or a recall as this is clearly a defect. There are so many complaints about this issue. This is my 3rd Nissan and most likely my last!!! Not happy at all with this outcome of $700.00 repair!

It could have hurt so many people. No notice on my dash for any failure. This was reported to Nissan. No warranty. It's at my cost to replace.

While on the highway, the vehicle felt sudden loss of power and a burning smell. Immediately took the next exit and entered a gas station where large volume of oil leaking under the vehicle. Exited the vehicle and called for a tow truck to bring the vehicle to the nearest auto shop who informed me that the engine was damaged internally similar to what’s described in the recall and informed me to have the vehicle towed to the nearest dealership for the recall repair. The dealership informed me that they are unable to perform the recall due to being unable to scan the diagnostic codes therefore cannot inspect the engine/oil pan as per the recall instructions - informed me that the engine needs to be replaced first and that I should contact Nissan Consumer Affairs for a good-will engine replacement approval. I contact Nissan Consumer Affairs and was informed that they will not be replacing the engine and cannot perform the recall until the engine is replaced; instead offered me 50% off the engine replacement cost.

All four door locks are now inoperable. Doors do not respond to normal locking and unlocking features. Doors lock and unlock randomly making this a safety concern for those in the vehicle. NIssan is well aware of this ongoing problem and have issued several Technical Services Bulletins as a result, but have refused to take responsibility for this safety concern.

- #11734081April 27, 2026FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL
I have a 2026 Nissan Rogue Platinum with Pro Pilot assist. When engaging the ProPilot cruise control with adaptive cruise control, if you are traveling on a road with stop lights and the car in front of you is stopped at a light and you car is traveling at 45 mph , if the vehicle at the light is more than a block away and you are approaching with no car icon on the dash, your car will not slow down until there is a emergency panic stop. I don't know if the car would stop in time. I applied brakes and came to a panic sideways stop inches from the car in front of me. I took my car to Woodbury Nissan and was told that that is the way the system is designed to work by [XXX] a service writer. He didn't want to discuss it further. I called the manage and he had me come in and have one of the service managers drive my vehicle. When he drove it and the car did not slow down, he had to hit the brakes. You could tell he was scared by the experience. They agreed to bring it in and test it but I knew they would do nothing. They told me there were no adjustments to ProPilot assist. Then I brought it in and left it. They called me back a few hours later and told me that they drove another Rogue and it did the same thing. They couldn't do anything for mr. I had a 2025 Hyundai SanteFe with adaptive cruise control. It did not stop like the Rogue. It slowed down when approaching the stopped vehicle before coming to a stop. If nothing is done to warn ProPilot owners of this issue, someone is going to get killed. If a car is cruising down the [XXX] and come up to one of those lights on the southern end the will never stop in time. Please let people know before people lose their lives in these vehicles. Thank you. [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
