On 10/10/2025 there was an OTA update to the telematics/Uconnect system in my car. After it finished the car shut off while I was driving it multiple times. I lost all power and had to coast to the side of the road. This is extremely unsafe. Everyone that did the update is having this issue.

Uconnect software update caused the car to stall and for CEL to turn on. While in D, got a message to shift to P to go back into drive. This is widespread across 2024 4xe vehicles and is a major, major hazard to drivers and drivers of other vehicles. If one of these goes dark on a highway, it could lead to serious injury or even death. Horrible.

After an update Jeep sent out on October 10, 2025, my Wrangler suddenly stalled while driving. I lost power steering, brakes, and total control of the vehicle. It forced me to shift to park. I had to drive home in limp mode, barely making it. My car is unable to be driven. It is a hazard. Thousands of others are having the issue as well — while on the freeway. This is deadly. Jeep has not put out any information. We are left without vehicles.

While driving vehicle randomly stops upon inspection it's throwing code P1E1D. Car will randomly stall and lock up. Was able to pull over to the side and not cause an accident. Was able to reproduce, car only goes about half a mile. Check engine light came on. This is related to system update push by Jeep. I am writing to report a critical safety issue involving my 2024 Jeep Wrangler 4xe following the most recent Uconnect system update. After installing the update, my vehicle completely shut off while driving on the highway, putting my entire family in immediate danger. This was not a minor malfunction—our lives were at risk. After researching online and communicating with other Jeep owners, I have learned that this Uconnect-related failure is affecting multiple 2024 4xe vehicles, indicating a widespread and serious defect that must be addressed immediately. I am demanding immediate contact from a senior executive or engineer to discuss this issue, next steps for resolution, and assurance that Jeep will take full responsibility for this safety hazard. If I do not receive a prompt response, I will be escalating this matter through legal channels and reporting it to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for investigation.

My car shut down while I was driving it. There was an update that my car did which caused it to stall. And then the engine light went off. Took it to the dealer and they did some things. Oil change tire rotation and I thought the recall but maybe not. Picked it up. Drove it out and in our way home it shut down on us in the middle of the road.

I updated the uconnect software. After the Jeep ran maybe a block and wanted me to put into park then the jeep engine shuts off you put in park and restart. Engine light is on. Jeep lasts for a block and then all lights flash and goes dead again. Not drivable. Very dangerous I was on a busy road where I couldn’t pull over. Jeep should be ashamed and held accountable

My vehicle is no longer working properly after the most recent update that happened on 10/10 my vehicle experienced weird sticking/stuttering while accelerating and then fully turned off on the road while driving. It was incredibly dangerous and I’m just glad there wasn’t anyone directly behind me at the time otherwise I would have for sure been rear ended. Now it shuts off every few minutes and the check engine light is on

My vehicle did a software update Friday, October 10 10th after the update the vehicle went into a limp mode. I had to put the vehicle in park. Turn the vehicle off. Turn the vehicle back on immediately a check engine light came on. After the incident, the vehicle would only operate for about 10 minutes and I would have to repeat the same steps in order to get me safely home. Basically left me stranded with no power steering no warning that the vehicle even turned off just simply stopped in traffic in some cases and I was losing control.

Installed telematics box module update on 10/10/25. Now the Jeep is continuously saying to service the electronic assistance system and will lose complete power while driving and display the “shift to Park” and service engine light is on (lost power 3 times in less than a 2 mile distance).

Immediately following a Uconnect software update performed around 11:00 AM on October 11, 2025, my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 4xe stalled multiple times while driving on the highway. The vehicle lost power and became inoperable, creating an extremely dangerous situation. I was transporting my child at the time. Trouble Code: P1E1D. Number of Stalls: 3 total (1 on highway, 2 shortly after). The dealer confirmed they had received around 12 other Wrangler 4xe vehicles towed in the same day for the same issue, and another nearby dealer reported over 15. I have since learned through online owner forums that many other 2024 Wrangler 4xe owners are experiencing identical failures after the same software update within the last 48 hours. Jeep/Stellantis has not issued any public statement or safety notice. This is a critical safety hazard affecting many vehicles and should be treated as a potential defect related to the most recent Uconnect update.

Driving on highway at 70 mph and I lose all power. Message says to shift to park. Jeep will not accelerate when gas pedal is pressed. Had to come to a complete stop, shift to park and luckily it drove for a few more miles to get me off the highway before getting killed. Multiple dash lights came on including check engine.
