The contact owns a 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a loud whistling and vibrating sound coming from the door. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V593000 (Structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was determined that the door trim had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The approximate failure mileage was 29,427.

During normal driving in temperatures below approximately 20–27°F, the vehicle began losing electrical charge as indicated by the malfunction indicator light (MIL) and battery warning message. While my wife was attempting to return home, multiple vehicle systems progressively shut down, including electric power steering, ABS, auto-leveling suspension, and lane departure assistance. As she was pulling into our driveway, the vehicle completely shut off, resulting in total loss of propulsion and power steering. The vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. This was the second occurrence of this failure. A third incident occurred the following day under similar temperature conditions. During that event, MIL and battery warnings appeared again during normal driving. She was able to reach our driveway before complete shutdown occurred. On the most recent incident, the following diagnostic trouble codes were present: P0EEC, P1618, P0008, and U0111. These are the same codes that were recorded during the previous two incidents. After the first two failures, Kernersville Dodge stated the issue had been repaired and charged us for the repairs. The same failure condition has now reoccurred. This failure results in sudden loss of propulsion and loss of power steering while driving, creating a significant safety hazard.

This is the 3rd time the Jeep Wagooner has "bricked up." The vehicle will shut off without notice and lose all power, the emergency brake comes on and stops vehicle abruptly. This poses safety risk to driver passengers and surrounding vehicles. The car will not be able to be restarted for 30 secs. Once car is restarted, dash lights flash everywhere and car loses power steering. This happen 1st time 2 weeks after I bought a brand new 2024 Jeep Wagoneer. I took it to dealer and they told me it was defective battery. They replaced battery, it has now done it two more times. I took it to dealer again and they once again claim it was defective battery again. 2 defective batteries in 18 mos of new car? There is something else going on w/electrical system in this car that drains batteries and abruptly shuts off vehicle.

The lithium battery failed causing a complete loss of power, power steering, power brakes while driving with 3 small children on board. Battery indicator warning on dash. The dealer expressly stated that the car was safe to drive. Obviously that was incorrect. Thank goodness we were able to safely stop and be towed to the dealer. I escalated to "Jeep Cares" Case number Jeep Wagg Case 95595257and going on 4 weeks and no one can tell me when the battery will be available and that this battery will only last 3 years. If Jeep has no inventory then that is a red flag and the consequences of this failure puts lives at risk

While firing on the highway in the middle lane my car lost all power as soon as an Engine overheating light came on. This almost caused a larger pile up as cars starting swerving all over the highway to avoid my vehicle. I was able to safely coast to the shoulder without being hurt. After getting it looked at I was told my vehicle had a faulty thermostat yet by 2024 wagoneers VIN was not included in the batch they had put out.

Our 2023 Jeep Wagoneer overheats (indicates excessive oil temperature and low oil pressure) repeatedly (~20 times since we've owned the vehicle) under normal freeway driving causing a safety issue by creating the need to rapidly slow and exit the roadway to prevent vehicle engine failure. The issue occurs during sustained freeway driving around 60-65 mph. The car feels like it is not properly shifting to the next gear and the RPM lingers around 3000rpm - 3500rpm. After a few minutes at this sustained RPM the engine temperature gauge slowly climbs until the overheating warning light comes on and it typically followed by a low oil pressure warning. We have taken the vehicle to a Jeep dealer twice. They have tried to replicate the issue and have not been able to. We suspect that they are not driving in long enough (30-40min) to be able to replicate the issue. They also say that they are not able to pull up any error codes from the vehicle from an ODB scanner. They say they can't diagnose the issue with out an error code and seam to be unwilling to explore the issue further. Most recently we've purchased our own ODB scanner to try to gather any error codes because the Jeep dealer doesn't seam to want to investigate further without us gathering error codes for them. Today we drove the car for about 45min on moderately hilly terrain at around 60mph and produced three separate overheating / low oil pressure error incidents while the ODB scanner was plugged in. The ODB did not indicate an error code on any of the three incidents. We are frustrated because Jeep and their dealers have left us in a situation where we have a dysfunctional vehicle and seam to be unwilling to take reasonable measures to resolve the problem.

This complaint involves a 2023 Jeep Grand Wagoneer L Series III, a full-size luxury SUV. The vehicle has experienced repeated electrical and powertrain failures culminating in complete loss of propulsion. On 01/22/2026, while traveling approximately 45–50 mph, the vehicle abruptly shut down without warning. The engine lost power, dashboard displays went black, and multiple warning lights illuminated simultaneously. I was forced to steer to the shoulder while a trailing vehicle had to swerve off the roadway to avoid a collision. This was a near-miss event and represents a serious safety hazard involving sudden loss of motive power at highway speed. Prior to that event, the vehicle had already stalled at a traffic light and had exhibited repeated check engine warnings, low-voltage faults, and module communication errors. The servicing dealer documented multiple diagnostic trouble codes affecting the Body Control Module (BCM), Ignition System Control Module (ISCM), and Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Manufacturer technical service bulletin software updates were applied in attempts to correct the issue. Despite these interventions, the electrical instability persisted. On 02/12/2026, only days after an auxiliary battery replacement intended to address voltage concerns, the vehicle would not start and required towing to the dealership at my expense. Additional fault codes are currently under review. The vehicle is also subject to an open recall with no remedy available, and the power running board motor has failed with replacement parts unavailable. This pattern of electrical failure, sudden shutdown in motion, and inability to reliably start presents an ongoing and unacceptable safety risk to occupants and surrounding motorists. The vehicle is available for inspection and has been repeatedly evaluated by an authorized dealer.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while her husband was driving at approximately 10 MPH, the vehicle stalled, and smoke was coming from under the hood. The contact stated that the smoke had also entered the passenger cabin. The contact stated that her husband had not mentioned whether any warnings had illuminated. The contact stated that when she arrived to pick him up, the fire was extinguished. The fire damage was confined to the engine compartment. The vehicle was towed to a dealer, but it was not a manufacturer dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the generator and the start/stop battery had caught fire and needed to be replaced. The contact was advised that the battery was on national back order. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that she had searched online and associated the failure with an active NHTSA National Action Number: PE24018 (Electrical System, Hybrid Propulsion System, Engine, Engine and Engine Cooling). The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.

I wes driving and the over heat light came on in pulled over and had car towed to dealer. The dealer pulled the report and they said I needed a new engine and that I drove 40 miles in limp mode. There was no lights or indicators that there was an issue until the car overheated in that time it was only drove 3 miles. They cannot pinpoint when the light would ha e turned on and now I am stuck with a broken engine that stelantis is refusing warranty coverage but the car failed to alert me there was an issue

A recall has been issued due to the quarter window on the vehicle may have been built with trim that may detach from the vehicle and may become a road hazard. FCA US is not fixing this repair in a timely manner and has placed a "stop sale" on the vehicle. As a result, this vehicle remains a hazard and is severely reducing the value of the vehicle. This is all caused by FCA US's failure make a simple repair to window trim on the vehicle.

FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, ENGINE, SERVICE BRAKES
We purchased a Jeep Wagoneer L from Liberty Jeep in Libertyville, IL in May of 2024 and have had issues since. The first issue was on August 25th 2024 when I was driving my vehicle it stopped in the middle of the road and turned off. I had to turn my car back on and thankfully was only a block away and drive it to my driveway with the steering stiff the whole way. After this, the Jeep had to come tow my car on August 26th. There was no warning until after it happened. Dealer had the car for one day and then said to come get it on August 27th it was fixed. My husband went to pick it up and as soon as he drove away the engine light went back on. So he turned around and brought it back in. It was in the shop from the 27th-Sept 13 2024. They said it was a catalytic converter that needed to be replaced. Since purchasing the vehicle the trunk had never fully worked. We would always need to mess with it to open or close. On Nov 1 2024 the car was brought in for trunk repair. It was there until Nov 6th 2024. Well they said they fixed it and then in Feb 19 2025 it was brought back in again for the trunk. It stayed in the shop till March 4th 2025 for trunk repair. They said they fixed it again. November 3rd 2025 car was brought back in for stiff steering. When I went to turn the car steering went stiff and I couldn’t turn. I had my daughter and her three friends in the car. On top of that the navigation screen was freezing and the camera’s weren’t working. They said it needed updates with the technology and all was good. On Dec 14th 2025 the trunk wouldn’t close. It would open when I was driving my 3 kids in the car. I had to have my [XXX] son sit in the trunk to hold the trunk closed so I could get us home. Jan 17th 2026 I would be at a stop light and my car would alert me to put the car in Park, Turn car on and off then put it in drive then it would say ABS service. My 2022 Wagoneer has stalled out 3 times at intersections as a result of the automatic start/stop. This is extremely dangerous! I have been stranded in the intersection 2 out of the 3 times until I was able to turn off/on the vehicle and trouble shoot it.

Vehicle taken to dealership and diagnosed with failure of hybrid battery. During my ownership of the vehicle I've had to replace the primary battery 3 times due to ongoing electrical problems with this engine.

While approaching a stop sign at a speed of less than 10mph with my wife and three small children in the car, the engine shut off and the steering/braking became degraded. I was able to restart the car after stopping, but the auto start / etorque does not appear to be working any more. I will be dropping the car off for diagnostics, but after some research this appears to be a common issue which is already under investigation.

My 2024 Jeep Wagoneer Series 2 frequently stalls while coming out of idle, such as at traffic lights. This is not the auto stop-start feature and happens whether or not auto stop-start is deactivated. Usually, after being by stopped, as I am getting ready to start moving again, the vehicle will slightly rev or try to lurch forward before stalling out. This turns the engine off, throws the car into park, and activates my e-brake. It happens before I press the accelerator so the car is not moving more than a mile or two an hour. This problem is dangerous because it creates a risk of accidents with other vehicles. When the car stalls in this way, I must confirm the car is in park, press the brake, restart the engine, deactivate the e-brake, and shift the car into drive before proceeding through the intersection. This takes a few seconds and if the driver in the car behind me isn’t paying attention and think I am starting to move, he or she could rear-end me. This problem has happened more than a dozen times (so not every time I drive but frequent enough to be a pattern). It can happen when I have been driving for a while and the engine is warm. There is no way for me to predict in advance when it will happen. It can go weeks without happening or happen twice in the same day. It does not activate any dash warnings (such as service engine light or an error code) that I can see. I have taken my car into the dealership twice for idle related issues including once for this exact problem. The last time, the dealership found misfires on all cylinders, both catalytic converters coming apart from the inside and 02 sensors that had melted from overheating. The dealership replaced all of this. My vehicle still stalled on the way home from the dealership. This time, I detected a strong rubber or plastic burning odor when I got home. The vehicle has less than 12,000 miles on it and was bought new less than a year ago. I attach last repair invoice.

The contact owns a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal to stop at a stop light, the vehicle lost power and decelerated unintendedly. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. During the failure, the contact's teenage daughter was seated on the passenger’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact stated that the battery was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but the contact was still waiting for a call back from the dealer. The approximate failure mileage was 31,000.

On two separate occasions within 2 months of each other, the low battery/voltage warning appeared and shortly thereafter, every warning light in the dash came on and various messages appeared on screen stating that there were power/electrical issues. The car then shut down and died while in motion. Extremely dangerous as in the first instance, the vehicle was in the White Mountains region of New Hampshire (on a main road, Rt. 16), with no cell reception, cold weather, and at night, leaving us stranded. The second occasion happened on a busy highway with my wife and young daughter in the car. We were able to get off the highway when the warning lights came on; however, the car died in Downtown Boston, at night, in the winter (December). the first time this happened, the car was towed, a "software update" was done, and we were back on the road. then less than 2 months later, the same thing happened, and is this time diagnosed as the eTorque motor. There is an open NHTSA investigation for this exact issue. Investigation:PE24018
