The speedometer, lane departure, heat gauge, and RPM’s and the whole speedometer cluster will stop working. It does this all the time you never know if it will work and then sometimes it will randomly come back but it’s more in the heat it will not work.

- #11749949July 13, 2026ENGINE, STEERING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
I own a 2022 Hyundai Palisade SEL. On XXX, while driving at the intersection of [XXX] and [XXX] in [XXX], the engine abruptly lost power, causing a sudden loss of engine power while the vehicle was in motion. This is my family's primary vehicle, and my wife and children were in the car during this incident. On XXX, I brought the vehicle to Courtesy Hyundai in [XXX]. The dealer found essentially no oil in the engine despite my keeping up with scheduled oil changes. The dealer replaced the oil and performed a software update described on the repair order as "9C9 C ECU SW UPDATE EMISSIONS IMPRV 26-01-010H," and I was instructed to return after 1,000 miles for an oil-level recheck. At that recheck, the dealer's service assistant reported the oil was full. On XXX, before a planned family road trip, I returned the vehicle for another check. The service department found the engine was two quarts low — this was only 4,000 miles after the oil service on April 10, 2026. The dealer stated they requested an oil consumption test but that Hyundai denied the request. Per the dealer's instructions, I returned again after another 1,000 miles, and the engine was one quart low. I am filing this complaint because I believe the excessive oil consumption and the resulting loss of engine power represent a safety defect that has not been remedied. An engine that abruptly loses power while driving creates a serious hazard, including loss of power steering and reduced braking assist, and I am concerned for my family's safety while this condition remains unresolved. I purchased a new 2025 Hyundai Palisade SEL from Bud Clary Hyundai Auburn on July 2, 2026. Prior to purchase, the dealership acknowledged that the vehicle had open safety recalls and stated that customers could not take delivery until the recalls were addressed. I later relied on dealership representations that the recalls were being fixed and completed the purchase. After delivery, Hyundai Customer Care and the dealership's service department both confirmed that the recalls remain open on the vehicle. Hyundai has since confirmed in writing that the recalls have been open for an extended period of time. The open recalls include NHTSA recalls 25V607000 and 26V034000. I am submitting this complaint because I believe NHTSA should be aware that a new vehicle may have been delivered to a customer while these safety recalls remained open.

Car seat when you press to collapse the third row press it once the seat activates to collapse if my granddaughter’s in the rear seat and she’s not sitting properly, it’ll collapse on her. Causing death or injury. It won’t retract unless there’s significant pressure to make it retract again. The press and hold will prevent accidental injury.

Several times now, the car's engine will shut off while driving at low speed. When it shuts off, there is a relatively loud electrical noise coming from the engine compartment, and the instrument panel has multiple lights and sounds. There have been times when this issue has nearly caused a major accident.

- #11749211July 8, 2026SEATS, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS
On XXX, after leaving an appointment at an office building, I returned to my vehicle and noticed that the driver’s seat recline function was not working properly. The seat was already pushed forward to its highest position and would not recline further. I was still able to enter and operate the vehicle somewhat but remained parked. I reviewed Hyundai resources to see whether there was an update or known issue related to the seat concern. When I could not resolve the issue through available resources, I contacted the Hyundai dealership in Henderson. I provided my information and explained that the driver’s seat recline function was not working. I was transferred to Hyundai Customer Service. During that call, I explained that I was approximately 15 minutes away from the dealership and requested repair of the issue regardless of warranty status because I considered it a safety concern. This never happened before at all. While I was speaking with the Hyundai Customer Service representative, the driver’s seat moved again unexpectedly. As a result, I moved forward toward the steering wheel area. After that movement, the vehicle rolled or moved forward and contacted the rear of another vehicle. After the collision, the driver’s seat recline function still was not operating properly. I documented the condition with video evidence, and two witnesses observed the vehicle and the seat condition after the collision. When I contacted Hyundai, I was very upset to learn that the call I had with the customer service representative was not documented anywhere. Also, no one contacted me although I was in distress, crying, and in the accident and the customer service representative knew this. There was no aid or phone call follow ups to me by Hyundai customer care at all. Hyundai Motor America opened a case investigation and instructed me not to perform repairs at this time so the vehicle could be preserved for inspection. The contact owns a 2020 Hyundai Palisade. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V607000 (Seat Belts). The contact stated that while parked on several occasions, the second-row driver-side and passenger-side seat belts buckles failed to latch and required three to four attempts to latch securely. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was determined that an object might be stuck in the buckle assembly, and the seat belt buckle assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred approximately a week later. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 25,000.

Was driving 70mph on the highway, all instrument cluster speed gauges go to 0mph and I lose ability to manage speed through cruise control. Was driving blind and had no clue what speed I was going and was extremely worried for my safely. Dealership said my instrument cluster has failed, won’t cover under warranty or as a safety issue. Ridiculous a 80k 6 year old car has a main gauge part fail.

The vehicle suffers from a severe manufacturing defect causing excessive engine oil consumption (burning more than 2+ quarts per 1,000 miles) with no warning lights or oil pressure indicators activating. With little to no warning, I could be driving and experience catastrophic engine failure. This defect creates an immediate safety hazard, as sudden engine seizure or stalling at highway speeds risks loss of power braking and steering, creating an imminent risk of a high-speed collision. The dealership has confirmed the oil consumption issue after we noticed the vehicle stalling and performing sluggishly until the oil was changed.

The self leveling shocks have gone bad two times now in a matter of 4 months. The first time we had no major issues but the second time it caused the ABS system to kick in while making a left turn. The dealer said it was caused by the car not sensing the correct posture because of the shocks turning on the ABS system and causing us not to be able to brake for about 10-15 feet. If there was a person or vehicle in the way we would have crashed.

This vehicle has had an open recall for defective seat belts since 9/11/2025, but the Hyundai dealership I purchased from has been unable to perform repairs due to insufficient parts on hand. I've been told we're on a waitlist for parts but there is a nationwide shortage and there is no estimate when parts will be available.

Stopped at the gas pump and filled up. When I went to leave all dash lights were lit up and car wouldn’t move. Brakes were locked. I tried restarting and restarting. Brakes would lock up when I tried to move, either direction. I finally gases it enough that it screeched the tires to move it from in front of the gas pump.
