The automatic door will not close. It will bounce back open like something is in the way when nothing is. You either have to turn that feature off and close it or you sit there hitting the button 40 times for it to finally decide to close. Has been happening for months and have brought it up to the dealership repeatedly. I have multiple videos of this issue

Vehicle auto engine stop engages at intersections. Car fails to restart when system is supposed to reengage. The vehicle then has to have ignition restarted causing unanticipated dangerous situations. There is no warning that the system will fail to reengage and the problem is intermittent. This has happened several different times causing dangerous traffic hazards.

1. Component failed: The low-pressure fuel pump failed. The vehicle is currently sitting at my residence and is available for inspection upon request.2. Safety risk: The vehicle stalled completely while driving, causing an immediate loss of propulsion on a public road, creating a severe collision risk.3. Confirmation: The problem has been pulled and confirmed by an independent service center (AutoZone diagnostic scan tool), which pulled a code to replace the fuel pump.4. Inspection: The component has not yet been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives, as the manufacturer is currently refusing to authorize an inspection due to a salvage title.5. Warning lamps/Symptoms: Immediately prior to the stall, a complete cascade of warning lights appeared on the dashboard simultaneously, and the vehicle sputtered aggressively upon attempting to crank and restart.Assessment: This is the identical, textbook physical failure condition of NHTSA Campaign 23V-858 regarding defective factory-installed Denso fuel pumps in 2018 Honda Odysseys. American Honda Corporate is using an automated salvage title database filter as a pretext to deny mandatory federal safety recall remedies on a vehicle with zero structural fuel system damage.

My name is [XXX], we bought a brand new 2019 Honda Odyssey Elite, we have had problems with this vehicle since day one. They have lied and covered up the issues with this vehicle starting with the infotainment center, transmission slippage, fuel pump and the front camera has been overheating giving us the message that it is overheating and all the lights come on. They have stalled us on these issues and now the extended warranty is up and we want something done about this. We have babied this vehicle the entire time since new and it seems like one problem after another, at this point we are very disappointed from the way we are being treated from Honda. The latest is the front sensor on the front mirror that pops up all the lights on the dash, no one seems to be able to duplicate the problem, now they are on all the time and conveniently the extra extended warranty we bought have since expired, there was a lot of recalls on this vehicle and no one ever seems to be able to send us the recall letters. We really thin the mirror sensor and the transmission are definitely safety issues especially when the mirror shuts all the safety off. The transmission shifts hard at times and we pray that Honda will step up to the plate and do the right thing and fix the other recall issues on this same vehicle as well. We have other Honda vehicles that we have not had any issues with, we just can't understand why we are being treated in this manner, we just want the vehicle fixed. The vehicle's Auto Idle Stop (AIS) system failed to restart the engine after engaging at a complete stop. The affected components are the engine, starter motor, and AIS control software. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. On XXX, at approximately 7:43 PM, the AIS system engaged while I was stopped at the intersection of [XXX]. Upon releasing the brake pedal, the engine failed to restart. The vehicle became fully immobilized in an active left-turn lane with traffic behind me. I was required to shift to Park and manually depress the Start button multiple times to restore power. Multiple vehicles behind me began sounding their horns. A minor child was a passenger in the vehicle. This is not an isolated incident. The vehicle has been presented to Howdy Honda, in Austin, Texas, for the same defect on three to four prior occasions. On the most recent prior visit, the dealer replaced the starter motor — the specific remedy prescribed by Honda Technical Service Bulletins 23-008 and 23-009. The vehicle was returned to me as repaired. The failure recurred the same day. The defect has been confirmed and repair attempted by the authorized Honda dealership. The manufacturer has been on notice of this defect class-wide since at least 2018. Prior to and during failure events, the instrument cluster displays a Red Exclamation Mark warning light and/or a "Brake System" warning light. These warnings first appeared in conjunction with the initial AIS failure events and recur with each subsequent incident. .Auto off feature malfunctioned in traffic light .The vehicle's engine powered off while resting at stop light and the brake pedal was pressed .When the light turned green, lifted the foot off the brake pedal. The vehicle automatically went into park mode and locked itself. .The cars behind me went honking as it is a single lane road forming a massive line, since my vehicle stalled. .Had to turn the power off the vehicle and turn it back on, in the middle of the road while blocking everyone else behind me. .Issue occurs frequently

At a stop light the van turned off and would not turn back on...finally was able to get it to auto zone who said it was a bad battery, we then took it to honda with it only having 7k miles on it. They determined it was the starter from the auto/start/stop feature. What if this was the highway? A 2026 vehicle this should not happen to.

The electronic module for rear power tailgate quit working due to water getting inside module. This causes rear lift door to malfunction. Ive seen online there's been a class action lawsuit for this and the door can open randomly. This has not happened to mine. It just quit working and beeps excessively. I had it repaired and it happened again 7 months later. It has been diagnosed by honda dealership. Thanks

- #11764453September 15, 2026FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM
By August 1, 2026, the check-engine light was on in my 2019 Honda Odyssey. I reported that the light was steady and the van was running normally, with no noticeable drivability problems. On August 31, 2026, at 141,126 miles, an authorized Honda dealer recorded DTC P0430, performed an air/fuel test, documented that the fuel injectors failed, and recommended replacing them. The dealer noted that failed injectors can cause P0430. The injector-specific parts-and-labor estimate is $1,849.06. No injector repair or post-repair test is documented yet. There was no crash, fire, injury, fatality, or police report. Honda Service Bulletin 21-010 provides a 10-year/150,000-mile injector warranty extension for certain 2018-2019 Odysseys. For P0430, it directs an air/fuel test and injector replacement if the test fails. Honda says this vehicle's VIN is ineligible despite the dealer's matching diagnostic pathway and offered 50% goodwill. This bulletin is a warranty extension, not a recall. I ask NHTSA to examine whether the eligible VIN population adequately captures 2019 Odysseys with this documented failure pattern. The attached evidence summary identifies 27 public NHTSA complaints that report injector or matching-code concerns together with VIN-based coverage exclusion; those are owner allegations, not confirmed failure rates. Some other owners allege hesitation, power loss, or limp mode, but I have not experienced those symptoms. I am concerned that continued injector deterioration could create a future drivability or loss-of-power risk. Please compare Honda's production, warranty, goodwill, dealer-test, and failure-analysis data for included and excluded vehicles. The dealer findings and evidence summary are attached.

My auto start-stop idle function is malfunctioning. When I stop at a traffic stop light or the car comes to a stop, the car completely stalls when pressing the accelerator to go forward. This is resulting in very confusing and chaotic situations in the middle of the road with cars behind me honking. I need to turn off the engine completely and then wait a few seconds and then restart the car before going again. This is creating hazardous conditions on the road for my family and other cars.

My wife was driving our young daughters and the vehicle had multiple warning lights come on. then several messages stated transmission drive unavailable. then the vehicle stopped moving and stalled in a busy street. it would re-start but was idling at 3000rpm. however it would not move from where it died. it had to be towed to the Honda dealer. It was a very dangerous situation because it went from a check engine light to a dead vehicle in 30 seconds. very unsafe!

My wife had just got off of the Interstate in Raleigh, NC and pulled to a stop light and the Auto Idle shutoff took over and stopped the engine. When my wife took her foot off the brake the motor cut off and stalled the behind in traffic. It was supposed to start the engine but did not. It then displayed a transmission error and took a minute or so before the transmission reset and allowed her to restart the vehicle. An online research shows this is a common issue with the Honda odyssey. We contacted the dealership and they have refused to complete the repair. And stated it doesn’t affect our year model.

On September 14, 2026, my 2020 Honda Odyssey experienced a sudden, severe low-pressure fuel pump failure while idling/parked. The engine began running extremely rough, surging repeatedly between 300 RPM and 1,000 RPM, knocking, and stalling. I was parked at the time, preventing a severe accident. Upon trying to restart, the vehicle turned over multiple times and would only catch when depressing the accelerator pedal, accompanied by cylinder knocking and an engine thermal spike. The vehicle was towed to an independent repair facility (Tuffy Auto Service). The diagnostic scan confirmed DTC P0087 (Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low). A mechanical gauge test showed the low-side fuel pressure dropped to 10 PSI (far below the standard operating pressure of 50–60 PSI). The shop verified that the in-tank low-pressure fuel pump assembly failed internally and requires complete replacement. This failure, symptom pattern, diagnostic code (P0087), and component match the exact defect profile in NHTSA Recall 23V-858 (Denso Low-Pressure Fuel Pump Impeller Failure). However, when checking my VIN, American Honda claims this specific vehicle is excluded from the recall range. American Honda Consumer Relations subsequently refused goodwill assistance due to non-dealer service history and vehicle resale status. This creates a severe safety hazard. A vehicle experiencing a sudden drop to 10 PSI fuel pressure while driving in traffic will lose motive power, stall unexpectedly, and disable power steering and braking assist. I am submitting this report because American Honda has failed to include all affected production batches in Recall 23V-858. I request NHTSA expand Recall 23V-858 to include out-of-range 2020 Honda Odyssey VINs exhibiting identical low-side fuel pump failures.
