I let my daughter borrow my crv, she was coming backing from making errands going around a corner and she could not control the vehicle, she continued to try to turn the wheel in the direction she wanted to go but it would not, she ended up hitting another vehicle and came to a rest in someone’s yard. The officer on the scene did not want to sight her but had to under the law failure to control, he could see it was a mechanical failure. My vehicle has been maintained by several good mechanics but where the frame broke unless you pulled all the plastic down you would never know the frame was rotted. My daughter was 6.5 months pregnant at the time and her doctors told her to go get emergency ultrasounds done she had 2. The day of the accident and the next day. Everything was fine. I did contact and sent some pictures to Honda and all of the information they asked for but never heard back. I did try to send pictures but it would not let me upload.

Video is attached. Apon starting my car I can have a electrical/computer problem where all my safety systems start flashing problems or warnings. This can go on for a week and then disappear. When on I loose my cruise control, emergency braking and warning, low tire light stays on and other emergency systems show failure. My dealership said it could be low fuel pressure but not sure. Car runs great. I should not loose safety systems if pressure is low. I will be going back in and have a serious talk with service supervisor. Again I have attached a video of the drivers dash. Program doesn't allow me to upload files.

The steering is sticky, not smooth. This happens around 40 mph and higher. I took the vehicle to the dealership in Wichita within the past week. This was the second time I had the vehicle in to the dealership for this problem. They performed an alignment the first time on Nov. 3, 2023. Last week, they said they found nothing wrong with the steering. This started happening last summer. It didn't bother me a great deal at first but started to get worse. I purchased the CR-V in February 2023. The problem worries me because I feel the steering could fail at higher speeds, and I frequently drive family members in the vehicle. I can make the vehicle available for inspection.

- #11563953January 6, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, EXTERIOR LIGHTING
This hybrid model does not display red brake lights during regenerative braking, at any of the settings. I have have had two occurrences where the driver behind me was apparently not aware that my vehicle was slowing somewhat rapidly, and thus nearly drive into the back of my vehicle. One of those drivers mentioned that they did not see any brake lights even though I was slowing down, approaching an intersection. I can see how this might be a safety issue. IF Tesla can have this function on their cars software then why cannot Honda? My vehicle also has times when I am travelling on straight city streets with no traffic in front of me, where the automatic emergency braking come on quite firmly for a second or two, without any apparent reason. Again, this presents a possible safety hazard to the vehicles behind me who may be following a little closer than they should, and may possible drive in to the back of my vehicle. Again, I am not aware of any brake lights present on my vehicle when this happens. A big improvement would be in the manner in which the radar sees things and makes false applications of this braking system, as well as having teh vehicle brake lights activate when this system decides to engage.

I live in Puerto RIco. I was just quoted $3,000 for new Rack and Pinion. Vehicle always maintained correctly and almost new, not even 5 years. Honda knows that this problem with the Rack and Pinions exist and is a safety concern and issue. Other three vehicles in the dealer repair shop with the same issue, one of them with only 900 miles. Other customers had to pay full price. Honda knows about this problem, a recent recall for Civics was announced for their Rack and Pinions. Many Rack and Pinions have problems and Honda has not recalled this part for CRVs. I change engine oil every 3,000 miles with high quality Synthetic oil. Honda original filter. Changed Transmission oil every 30,000 miles and coolant as well. This is a SAFETY, a costly part the Honda knows is faulty and should be recalled immediately. I'm a customer that bought this Honda CRV-Touring expecting the quality and reliability that Honda has claimed. Today I received the news of a gas pump recalled, and a prematurely faulty Rack and Pinion. This is just unbelievable. I'm writing in the hopes of some good news from Honda to replace my Rack and Pinion before an accident happens. I'm still paying for this vehicle. I got car accident on 12/22/23 due to brake failure. I was at Stop Sign - zero mph (at Parking Lot near shopping mall in Concord, CA), suddenly my car unexpectedly revved and lurched forward. It then jumped the parking curb. I had to control on steering wheel to the left because the right side was Chinese Restaurant. I tried to brake and press on "P". They did not work. My car hit one of the car that parked there. Then the car was stopped. The airbag was deployed. I talked with several people that have Honda CRV Hybrid, they have same problem on the brake and Honda did not take any responsible and I feel this is not safe for me and for people that drive same road with me. I might hit more people if I still own this car. Note: I have this car less than 2 years so I still owe the bank. Note: My car was not on fire but it was smoking came out from steering wheel. I got chest, stomach, back hurt from the pushing of airbag

The steering has become “Sticky”. It almost feels like it gets locked into place for about 10 seconds and then will release and will repeat this same process over and over. When the car is completely off, you can move the steering wheel and it almost feels like a rack and pinion issue. This has been going on for about 6 months. It doesn’t matter the speed you are driving at, you can feel it “catching” anytime. My husband has a 2023 Honda Accord and has no steering issues, so it’s definitely noticeable when I drive my vehicle vs driving his car. I drive on a very windy road to and from work everyday, and I worry that an accident will occur if this issue isn’t resolved. Which also brings me to worry, if it is resolved, do I have to worry about this arising in the future?

Steering the vehicle became difficult. It would feel catchy or sticking which would lead to oversteer. Honda dealer service manager performed test drive and determined vehicle is unsafe to drive.

Good afternoon, I'll try to keep this as brief as possible; I'm sure you can recontact me if you need additional information. This is not an incident, rather an issue related to the current recall 23V-228 for my 2010 Honda CRV. In 1/2023, the garage advised my Honda would not pass Maine State Safety Inspection due to the severe rust on the frame and where the left rear lower control arm (LCA) attached to the frame. They advised it could detach/break off, and my ability to steer safely to a stop would be affected. I took it to the Honda dealership and they confirmed it was unsafe to drive unless the rust and frame could be repaired. The dealer did not mention this was a common problem or any upcoming recalls for this issue. In 2/2023, I found a body shop that was able to repair the corrosion on the frame and the connection point for the LCA. I paid $1600, and the car passed Maine State Safety Inspection at the same garage that identified the problem. In 5/2023, I received the Honda safety recall referenced above, which states "you may be eligible for reimbursement if you paid for recall repairs out of pocket." I called the 888 # on the recall, received an email from American Honda, and replied to their email with the documents they requested, including the repair invoice. After recontacting American Honda a second time in 8/23, and a third time in 9/23, they advised they did not receive the document in 5/23, and I should resend the repair invoice. I received a call from American Honda on 10/16/2023, during which time they stated I was not eligible for reimbursement. This was due to the fact the repair invoice did not specifically state: “Trailing arm holder kit was replaced”. My case (#XXX) was closed. I read in a Part 574 Safety Recall Report, "Owners who have paid to have these repairs completed at their own expense will be eligible for reimbursement, in accord with the recall reimbursement plan on file with NHTSA." Do I qualify for reimbursement? INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT

When driving about 30mph the steering wheel begins to “stick” and has some resistance when steering. Subtle now, but fear it may get worse .
