Driver door side mirror cracked into 2 pieces. The Blind Side Assistance light still works. Just glass crack. Seemed to happen after or during a cold snap. It just showed up. I had been hearing a loud click or crack sounds from that area off and on while driving.

- #11575477March 5, 2024ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, LANE DEPARTURE: ASSIST
While driving the entire driving assist system warnings started flashing (lane assist, blind spot, ACC, etc.) resulting in a solid system break light, with none of the safety features functioning. In addition to being very distracting while driving, had I not noticed the warning lights going off , I would not have known that the safety system was off. It is very easy to miss while focusing on driving in a rainy day like today. I am writing to you directly since the last time I emailed Honda about a confirmed SW bug that results in the screen going dark, they told me it is not a safety issue and requested $180 for a SW update. When your screen goes dark when you are driving after changing the brightness on its own, and you don't see the backing off warnings, or camera, I would say it is a safety issue. While I am not writing about this specific issue, I don't trust Honda to do an honest assessment. I am unaware if Honda researched this issue yet, but have seen reports online about this issue.

- #11575691March 5, 2024FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING
While driving today, 03/05/2024 my 2017 Honda CR-B suddenly began to break while driving. There were no obstacles in front of the vehicle and no nearby cars. My car continued to randomly break while I was driving continuously and the issue has continued throughout the day. My safety and the safety of others is at risk because the random braking can cause an accident. There were no warning or messages prior to this. The vehicle can be inspected at any time. This issue has not been confirmed with a dealer, but I am reporting it as it has happened and it is concerning.

The steering becomes sticky when driving. It can't be adjusted smoothly, but can only be done using extra effort. The steering wheel turns a larger degree than expected. Instead of turning at arbitrary angle, it skips from one to another but not any between. It causes overcorrection and makes it very difficult to drive straight.

1. CMBS (front collision detection system) has malfunctioned approximately 3-4 times over the past 3 years. 2. While operating the vehicle in different settings, front-collision will incorrectly detect something in front of the car when nothing is there and apply brakes causing the car to stop suddenly and unexpectedly. The first 2 incidents occurred in my parking structure and no one was behind me. The 3rd incident occurred while driving on a surface street in Honolulu, and again no one was ahead or behind me. The final incident occurred today ([XXX] at approximately [XXX] HST). There was no one in front and a car behind me and the CMBS flashed a warning and slammed on the brakes bringing the car to a complete stop. Car behind me was forced to stop to avoid rear-end collision. 3. I took the car in for inspection after the 3rd incident last year (Pacific Honda dealership). Vehicle was inspected, mechanic took the car for a test drive, and was unable to replicate the problem. I was told this happens and car was returned to me. 4. There were no warning lights or messages indicating a problem with the CMBS prior to these events occurring. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

It is terrifying and unacceptable that they announce a fuel pump recall and then tell drivers to wait basically a year to they maybe get the part. Ticking time bomb. This is an addendum to some folks who already had a near catastrophe or worse because this company was negligent. Is anyone filing any lawsuits yet? My vin: [XXX] Can someone get back to me with a safety proposition because Honda has failed. Thank you. On January 19, 2024 my wife was driving the CRV when it suddenly slammed on the brakes bringing the car to a full stop. The dashboard screen said Object Detected. It was a violent stop, so much so that she thought she had been rear-ended. Luckily, she was not going very fast and the car behind her was able to stop without hitting her. If it had happened at a higher speed on a busier road she and others could have been injured or killed in a crash. She called me crying and upset and could not get off the road because the problem repeated four or five more times. We had the dealership come pick up the car and they found code "P2583-54" for the radar system aiming incomplete stored in the car. They performed a static and dynamic re-aiming of the radar and said it was ok. We felt the vehicle was unsafe and entered into arbitration with NCDS. The manufacturer never explained what the cause of the radar malfunction was (such as faulty hardware, rushed manufacturing, etc) and expressly stated that they could NOT guarantee the problem would not happen again. There had been snow and ice present on that day. The sensors had problems (different alarms and sounds but no phantom braking) again on Feb. 16th. These dates are the only two significant snowfall days we have had since purchasing the vehicle. We feel the vehicle is unsafe in any amount of snow or ice and think an investigation should occur into the radar system so that a recall can be issued so that nobody gets hurt or killed. Thank you.

12/25/23 While driving my new 2023 Honda CRV with approximately 9,500 miles on it, I experienced a twitching or sticking of the steering wheel. I noticed this today on the interstate while driving at speeds between 55-70 mph. It was more apparent when driving in a straight line, and the steering was sticking in either direction when I made minor corrections to maintain that straight course. It felt like I was having to continually fight the sticky steering to maintain a straight course. There were no warning lights. I got off the interstate, and verified that none of the lane keeping assists were on, and they were not. I took a different route home this day. Over the next few weeks, the problem seemed to be more apparent, and I started avoiding using highways and interstates whenever possible. I made an appointment with the Honda dealer. (This issue does also occur at lower speeds, but is more noticeable at higher speeds.) 02/10/24 At approx. 11,700 miles, I brought the car to the Honda dealership for my appointment to discuss the problem. They stated there were no recalls for my vehicle and no reported issues of this type brought into their dealership. I discussed that my symptoms were "exactly" the same as those listed those in NHSTA ODI investigation #EA23003. I was then told that that the ODI investigation document I showed them was not a "Honda document." After I requested that a service technician test drive my vehicle, which they did, the dealer then contacted the Honda Corp. techline. Honda techline said to order a new EPS steering rack unit, but there was no ETA for this replacement part. I was told "maybe" the part would arrive within a few months from date of this service. I believe this could be a serious safety issue. If the problem continues to get worse, I believe there could be the potential for catastrophe failure as the steering isn't responding as it should be under normal driving circumstances.

Hello, I am trying to fix the recalled parts of my car. I contacted Honda dealership where I bought my car, Honda Piazza of Limerick. They say they do not have the parts available, and that I should look elsewhere for the parts. What can I do? Please reference NHTSA recall # 23V-858. In the Remedy section of the NHTSA recall description it states, 'The dealer will replace the fuel pump module with an improved part.' The actual recall notice states 'The replacement parts needed to repair your vehicle are not currently available but are expected to be available in the fall of 2024'! Honda lists this as an IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL and failure of the pump may result in a crash or injury. I'll have to drive my CR-V for the next, at least, 6 months facing this possibility. This is unacceptable and I'm hoping you can help resolve this. Regards, [XXX] [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
