A crack appeared on the passenger side mirror for no obvious reason. It might have been caused by the temperature change from -2°C at night to 7°C in the morning, but I'm not sure. No impact signs, crack has curved U shape form.

I took my son to school and there was frost on the mirror and windshield and used the defrost. Came home parried in a gated area. Not exposed to any other elements. And a few hours later went to run some errands and mirror on driver side was cracked. I believe it has to do with the heated defrost. No signs of crack or anything. It is now on back order. Not covered by warranty and I am unsafe driving as it gives double vision as I’m driving it obstructs my view especially when I want to change lanes. Very unsafe. I have found many people have been complaining of this same incident happening to them. And this is something Thant needs to be recalled. ASAP. I have not even had my car for a month and this is already an issue.

Car stops suddenly on highway, going into, "limp mode." All dash warning lights came on. Rich emissions. VTM-4 issue. This is an ongoing issue with CR-Vs, yet manufacturer has issues no solution, clearly opting to work each situation independently. Therefore, manufacturer saves the time and money associated with these repairs.

Central display screen goes blank at random times at start up. May or may not reactivate with a reboot or restart of car. Display screen controls heating / cooling as well as provides access to other features such as reset of the tire-pressure monitoring system. I don't think it is safe to operate without heating or cooling when the weather is extreme. (It also provides the audio controls and smart-phone interface which includes navigation--which is on a much larger screen than a phone making for a safer experience)

On March 09, 2024 as I was backing into a parking space, the rear vehicle wheels came into contact with the parking curb at which point the rear window shattered. The pieces of the window flew in many directions approximately up to 5 to 10 feet outside and into the rear cargo area of the vehicle where I had my dogs. Fortunately, there were no other persons around the vehicle at the time and my dogs were not harmed. Immediately after this incident, I called the car dealer where I originally purchased the vehicle, and was advised to bring it in. I thereafter brought the vehicle to the car dealer service center where they removed some of the remaining pieces still attached to the window area and covered the window with plastic. Thereafter I drove the vehicle home, returned with the vehicle to the dealer on March 12, 2024, and the dealer replaced the window on March 13, 2024 at which time I retrieved my vehicle and returned the loaner car to the dealer. The window appeared to be replaced with a different type of window than the original. I asked the dealer why this occurred, the response was that they did not know why and further stated that this issue of shattering rear windows occurred in the 2023 HR-V models, but they were not aware of an issue in the CR-V models. I purchased the vehicle on February 7, 2024 and prior to this incident I had no problems with the vehicle to include the rear window. The invoice from the car service center states that there were no signs of impact on the vehicle.

The steering of My 2023 Crv has recently been stiff when in the center and turning slight left or right. Just today, we nearly hit something because the steering was stuck when turning left. I had to pull it back to the center. The car is dangerous to drive considering that i was with my family. My Crv has been to the dealership numerous times because of issues with the steering, but this is the first time i have experienced having the steering stuck when turning.

Since new and on numerous occasions, the vehicle will slow down drastically for no reason. No vehicle in front or object close to either side, it just brakes automatically. It only happens when the vehicle’s cruise control is on. On March 7th 2024 I was on the highway with the cruise control set at 75MPH. The vehicle for no reason slammed on the brakes and tried to come to a complete stop. No skidding or loss of control due to the ABS, but if had not stepped on the accelerator, it would have. I went from 75MPH to about 20MPH in seconds. Thankfully, the driver behind me reacted and went around me on my right side. I there was another vehicle to my right, I am certain, I would have been re-ended. I took the vehicle to the HONDA dealership and was told they were not aware of the problem, but they could attempt to fix it. I have lost confidence in driving the vehicle with the cruise control engaged.

The steering gets stuck while at high speed on the highway (with lane assist off). The danger happens when you have to turn harder then it appears the break free and you can move to far over in the lane. Call it sticking steering wheel or maybe the electronic steering system is locking, not sure. Bringing it to the dealer but their first comment was there are no issues. This is like a workout to drive or added stress because it does not smoothly turn back and forth.

When driving the car will false brake or alert to brake when nothing is directly in front of the car. Many instances the car will catch a car in the lane beside it and brake because it thinks the car is in front of it and will begin alerts and braking the car while driving on the interstate. Internal electronics like the infotainment will stop working and no longer play music, pull information from device when trying to connect via Bluetooth or USB. Had many occurrences where the port will respond with BAD USB and not connect. Only fix to get it working in the meantime has been factory resets. Have had to perform over 30 in the year of ownership.

My concern is that I have to wait 7 months or more for the part needed to be produced. Is this safe? Is this a "timely" response to my recall?

- #11576988March 12, 2024FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN, ENGINE
While driving in the freeway at 65mph, car starts to loose power, the accelerator does not respond to the push of the pedal. Even if I press the gas, the car just shows in the dashboard that the car is receiving power but speed lingers in 50mph but it clearly is way below this speed and keeps decreasing even if it shows the 50mph, the car just cruises with it’s own momentum. The hybrid battery depletes completely and warning lights start flashing to check engine. The car will also jerk front to back and the main motor will make a loud noise as if at high power with a hint of rattling. It’s difficult to maneuver between high speed vehicles passing by while not having any power in the vehicle. The only thing I can do is turn on my hazard lights and cruise to the right lane and look for the first exit and safely park. As soon as I park the vehicle, it will continue to keep with the rattling and the warning lights and high power noise. If I turn off the vehicle and turn it on again, the hybrid battery will reappear with charge and it doesn’t make any sound (hybrid standby). It will drive normal after this. My vehicle was purchased from dealership in 2021 and the first incident was in December of 2022, it did not repeat this incident until February 2024 where it did it twice, one week exactly apart from each incident under the exact same circumstances and the same area of the freeway as soon as I hit the first top speed of 65mph in the freeway.

The contact owns a 2023 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle frequently veered to the left independently, after which the contact became aware that the electronic power steering was not functioning properly. The power steering warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the steering rack and pinion. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 12,000.

American Honda Motor Co., Inc. issued a recall for our 2010 CRV. The recall identified a flaw in the design whereby "corrosion can form in the rear frame due to the accumulation of road de-icing agents mixed with mud and water. As a result, the rear frame can deteriorate, and the rear trailing arm may fall off. A detached rear trailing arm can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash or injury." (NHSTA Recall Number 23V-228) After the work was performed, we were told by a representative of the dealership’s service department that the vehicle would not pass state motor vehicle safety inspection because of the work they had performed. Over the course of August, 2023 I made more than 20 attempts (15 by email and many more by phone) to reach Honda representatives to ask them to fully repair the car so that it could pass inspection, or to repurchase the vehicle per the terms of the recall notice. Honda declined, stating that "if the brace had not been installed, we would be having a different conversation" (telephone conversation with a supervisor at Honda, August 31, 2023). The work that Honda did to address this safety recall was insufficient because, although the service team at the dealership was able to install a brace on the vehicle's rear frame, the vehicle will not pass state motor vehicle inspection, according to both Honda's dealership mechanic and an assessment by an independent certified mechanic who is familiar with this vehicle. Honda’s original design of certain parts of the frame is responsible for the excessive corrosion of the rear frame which is rendering the vehicle unsafe to drive. Since American Honda Motor Co. was not able to repair the vehicle to a safe operating condition that will continue to pass state inspection, and since the vehicle is otherwise in proper, safe, working condition, the company should have offered to repurchase the vehicle. The recall "fix" is insufficient to ensure driver safety.

The driver's seat belt became stuck in the unused position and we were unable to pull it out to extend it to the locking mechanism. This put the driver at risk in that there was no usable seat belt, and therefore the driver would be unprotected in the event of a crash. The vehicle is currently at the Honda service department, and the technician believes there is something wrong with the ratcheting system, so he has ordered new parts. There were no previous warning systems, however the alert sound did go off that the seat belt was not in use when the car was turned on.
